Shina kept an eye on the chaotic going-ons of the new arrivals. Despite the chaos, nothing seemed about to blow up, so Shina just let the newcomers try to settle in a bit. She'd start them moving again after the initial 'oh hey look! Big group of people! Explore everything!' reaction wore off. The second half of the lemon was still in her hand, but the little one seemed content to be the subject of one of the newcomer's sketching.

((We tried to name her last time we saw her, but she rejected all the names we offered. We seem to have ended up calling her "little one", and she hasn't objected yet.))

Anise's lunch had been more or less forgotten as she watched the Mewtwo eagerly interact with several people in quick succession. The young-seeming pokemon was always moving. Several more people seemed to be joining in the caravan, but that seemed to be a fairly common occurrence now.

Gypsy Wandered over to Chiyo to check on the newly-evolved pokemon. She found the other Zebstrika getting a thorough rubdown by her trainer, which would probably be good for both of them. She expected the evolution would bolster the pokemon's health as well as strength, as well. Content that Chiyo seemed recovered, she wandered back towards the knot of people her trainer was in, grazing as she went.

(( As of now, no, since she's never had a name before and has only been called by her experiment serial code. However, things like "little one", "dear", "child", and so on are things she is quite used to because the scientists parenting her used to call her them. She hasn't attributed them to terms of endearment and takes it as pronouns like "you" and "me" and so on . . . if that makes sense. xD; She'll get a name, though her holding a flower was the biggest clue . . . well, I should say answer. Her eventual nickname is Flower. rofl

I'm just building up character to a point where she has learned enough and is comfortable around more humans to take on a name, since it would mean she's finally building herself an identity. :3))

"Okay." 89585 nodded, shifting to float a bit more comfortably in the air. She hovered close to Jan, eyes peeking this way and that to try and figure out his processes. She'd never seen such an act before and it piqued her curiosity to the extreme. As she waited patiently for the boy to finish what he was doing, she twiddled the little flower in her hand and smiled quaintly. It was quite a pretty and delicate thing. It was taking all she could not to crush it because her hands were trained for power, not gentleness.

When the boy pipped up and said he was finished, the experiment stopped revolving the flower and tilted her head. Suddenly, the Mewtwo's eyes widened at the picture with a face of awe, dropped jaw included. "How'd my hand get there?" she asked, moving her wrist around to make sure it was still in place. The flower swayed like a hand waving goodbye. It was most certainly her member above the wrist (no one else had spheres for fingers, after all) but the fact it was a drawing completely flew over her head. "I do like it though! What's it called?"

(I like that, building a character up like that.

Del was talking to Shina in my earlier post, just a btw)

Jan was both startled and delighted. How could someone not know what a drawing was? But ohmygosh he was so excited! All these people AND this pretty talking floating pokemon who even posed for him!
He was having a ball! He became more and more animated. Somehow, somehow, he really liked this pokemon and felt completely comfortable, IE, even more so than usual, chattering to it.

“Its a drawing! I like drawing! It lets me put the things I see and my thoughts and memories onto paper so that I don't forget them! I forget things a lot 'cause I see lots of things and so all the other things get pushed out to make room for the new things!”
He grinned proudly, “And now I won't forget how you'r hand looked, which is good because I won't forget you and thats's really good because I like you!”

He held out a hand (still holding his sketching pencil)
“My name's Jan, and I have a big sister who is over there. Her name is Delah but you can call her Del because she won't mind.”
Before the experiment could possibly respond he leaned in conspirationally, positively vibrating with a sudden burst of energy “Shes not actually my big sister 'cause we're the same age, 'cause we're twins!”
He frowned breifly, a flicker of ponderous shadow across his art-smudged youthful face.
“Wait, do you know what twins are? Because if you dunno what drawings are then you dont know lots of things so maybe twins is one of the things you dunno.”
His smile returned.
“But thats okay! I dunno lots of things! So I ask Del, because Del knows lots of things and likes to think about lots of things. I have lots of drawings of her thinking... Do you wanna see them?”
It was remarkable that he hadn't come up with some nickname for the little experiment by now, what with his enthusiasm.

(Wow, Jan. I hope he doesn't scare her with his exuberance... he just thinks hes found a new friend and is very excited about it. Apparently he doesn't meet many pretty talking pokemon >.>
His original concept was SERENE if you can believe that. Now its just... um... obliviously happy? I dont even know where my characters are going anymore... )

((It's quite alright. He won't scare her away. xP <3 She's equally as excited and happy. Plus, being told someone likes you is going to bring about the feeling of excited embarrassment, haha.))

"A d-drawing?" 89585 mouthed without moving her lips. The notion was awkward even for the telepath. She listened with keen interest, taking on the explanation of a drawing was and what it meant to the boy. Unfortunately, the runaway couldn't comprehend the idea of a still memory until Jan explained how it connected. Than, like an epiphany, she nodded her head vigorously. Yes, that makes sense! So that's why- Than she flushed.

Hearing someone actually liked her warranted more of a reaction than the experiment realized. Her cheeks swelled with blood and under the thinness of her wan face, it showed redder than a typical blush. Not understanding the overly jumpy and happy-happy feeling, 89585 clutched her cheeks and swayed a bit. The tips of her knees even rubbed together from nervous inclination as she said, "Y-You like me? R-Really? N-No one has ever told me that before . . . " Her face only seemed to grow a deeper shade of scarlet as she replied. "I like you too! Y-You're a wonderful human."

When the young human boy interjected his hand towards her, 89585 swayed back a bit and stared awkwardly at the gesture to introductions. With her pink gaze still concentrated on the hand, she replied. "Nice to meet you, Jan." She smiled to the face that was close to hers. "I'm- Well, I don't have a- Twins? What are twins?" It was likely the reason to why Jan and his sister Del looked alike. 89585 had wondered why, but had tossed the idea aside prematurely. Instead, she pipped up at the opportunity to see more "memories."

"Oh, yes, I would love to see more of your drawings!" she quaked, voice slightly jittery. The psychic's empathetic nature caused her to unknowingly adopt Jan's exuberant excitement to an equal level. With the remnants of a blush still playing on her cheeks, she rounded the boy with her tail trickling behind. Who knew other humans could be this fun?

Shikari's massage had, by now, soothed the newly evolved Zebstrika into a sound sleep. The girl gave her a gentle kiss and wandered over to the excited people and the pokemon who seemed to be the center of attention at that moment. "What's going on?" she asked quietly, afraid to disturb whatever was going on.

(@ EIENNA and NAOMINAOMI)

“Twins is where Mommy got pregnant, but instead of one baby she had two! And sometimes they look exactly alike because one baby became two... but Del and I aren't like that because we've always been two.” he nodded sagely, as if this was the most incredible fact ever.
He blushed and giggled, his smile even wider, if that was possible.
“I'm not wonderful! I'm pretty good, though!” he laughed merrily. He almost wanted to spin from the high excitement, “One day I'll be wonderful, though!”
Of course, the excitement only got EVEN MORE extreme when 89585 asked about his art. Of course he got even more excited. Asking a confident, cheerful, artist to show you his art... because you liked his art... was better than anything ever. Better than cake! Better than chocolate fudge cake! With ice cream!

Jan wanted to spin and spin and spin around for delight! New Friends! Yay! Whohoo!
Clearly the boy needed some medication. Or some soothing tea.
“Oh my gosh, you want to see them, you actually want to see them?” He pondered a moment. “Well, I only have this book with me... we put all of my full ones in an item box in a pc to keep them safe...”
His entire mood returned quick as a flash,
“But I can show ya this one! And I'll just have to show you the other ones later!”
Implying that there would be a later. Implying that there would be a much later too. Simply assuming that they would meet again.

He didn't even question that the pokemon was strange and talking. At all. He had never seena pokemon like that, nor a pokemon that spoke. It didn't matter one bit to him. He just liked her!

He opened it up to an earlier page, carefully NOT showing the little mewtwo the first page- that one was Em-Bar-a**-Iiiiiing. Not because it was bad, but because... Well... Anyway.

He stood next to the mewtwo, leaning over to show her a sketch of his sister. It was a passable sketch, far from professional, but at least showing what he wanted it to show.
“That one is Del being thoughtful. She does that sometimes, sits and thinks. I cant sit still. I think we were... Eating at a cafe in Katarina? Yep!” He pointed to a detail, in the blurred background. “I remember that sign. We had just gotten Sperra a new collar. She hated it, hehe! But she looked so good in it!”
He flipped to another page, one with a not-quite-as-well done pissed off electrike head and collar, one that should have suited her, and would have would it not for the attempted rendering of her dour expression.
“See?” He giggled, “I have some trouble with her snout and mane. So pointy and long!” he flushed a bit with embarassment and flipped to another page.
“And this one was when I saw a really neat cloud in the sky and wanted ta remember it before it changed shape...”
And he went on like this for some time.

((XD))

Delah, having not gotten her answer, decided to seek it elsewhere. She excused herself and walked around, observing, the wary and worried Sperra by her side. It was an eclectic group. She wandered over to the person who's Zebstrika had just evolved, with a glance at the ones keeping their distance. She would talk to them next, if only to assure herself that they were safe.
“Congratulations” she said, nodding to the trainer and holding out a hand to the Zebstrika, a gentle question of whether she could pet it. She loved pokemon, and the chance to investigate a newly evolved one was something she figured she should do. For the learning experience.
“I was hoping you would know the answer to that question?” She glanced at her brother and restrained a sigh. He was so damn enthusiastic. She hoped he would stay out of trouble. He seemed happy, though.
“I take it this is a long trip of some kind? Across the whole region?”
PostPosted: Mon Jun 25, 2012 9:57 pm

"Oh, sure!" Shikari told Delah. "Just be gentle. I'm pretty certain she's asleep." She peered over at the boy's drawings. "Very nice!" She told him approvingly, even though she couldn't actually see the drawings.

Zak eyed the group for a while trying to search the members of the caravan for anyone he knew. Which he found was no one. Giving a small sigh he got off of his bike and let his Golbat Zue out of its pokeball. "You behave now." He told the bat, though he knew full well that the flying pokemon would get into some sort of trouble. It always seemed to do so.

Zue let out a soft screech as he was let out of his pokeball. It surveyed its surroundings before flapping its wings and flying off above the group. After stretching its wings for a bit the bat swooped down and landed on Delah's head. Seemingly making itself at home upon it.

Natalie quietly followed the group for most of the journey. She sits down in a bed of flowers to relax. She then took out some food from her backpack, "Dusty, would you like an apple?"

"Emolga!" Dusty glide over to Natalie from their rented bike and took the apple. She landed and ate the apple while enjoying the beautiful scenery."

Jan blushed brilliantly.
“Oh, thank you thank you!” he said, enjoying the praise. Artists love praise. Its like their lifeblood.

Delah gently stroked the zebstrika's fur. It was a bit like Sperra's fur, thick with electricity. But this one didnt shock her randomly. It was probably stress, recalled Delah from her pokemon classes, stress can cause pokemon to use their powers oddly, or with less control. Made sense. And Sperra was always stressed. At some point, she would have to see to learning how to make calming herbal medicine.
While she was thinking, she jolted and yelped slightly as something settled on her head. With a look of consternation or surprise... it was hard to tell which... she carefully extracted her hand from the zebstrikas fur... hoping she hadn't woken the pokemon up... and reached up tentatively to touch whatever had... landed... on her head.

Jan started laughing.
“Hehehehehehahaha! Look look!” he said to his new mewtwo friend, “Del has a new hat!”
He aborted his showing off of his sketch book and flipped to a new page.
“I gotta sketch this!”
He started drawing, though his pencil broke a few times before he got it perfect... or rather found one that wouldnt break. His bag was FULL of random pencils, both sketching and normal and ones absentmindedly taken out of wastebaskets and desks.

And he kept driving despite the firey glare his sister gave him, though she tried not to move her head too much. She didn't know what sort of pokemon was on her head, but it wouldn't do to make it uncomfortable... With a final glare at her oblivious brother, she reached up a hand, slightly less tentatively and stroked the golbat as best she could in this awkward position.
“... er... hello...”

Sperra was on edge, very much on edge. Was that pokemon attacking her charge? Could she get a Spark in without harming Delah? No, because things conduct. All she could do was half sit, sparking, staring wide eyed and shaking at the golbat on Delah's head.

Zak had just released Flora from her pokeball when Zue had flowed off. Giving a small sigh the male shook his head as the bat landed on another's head. Before he could tell his horsea not to make any trouble she went off shooting a perfectly aimed Water Gun attack at the body of the perching bat. "Flora!" he called scolding at the horsea. Just why couldn't the two get along? He gave a small sigh and scooped Flora into his arms, hoping that she would behave better that way.

"Horsea!" she called out. The water pokemon just couldn't help herself every time she saw a flying pokemon she just seemed to have to attack it. In the past when she had been wild she had been attacked by a few, and so did her other fishy friends with in the deep. After training herself she was able to protect both her and her friends from those ruthless flyers.

Zue gave a soft screech as he was attacked by his would be future partner. Both he and the head of the one he was resting upon was now damp. Taking off from the girls head the bat flew over to the horsea and his trainer giving screechs of protest at the water pokemon in Zak's arms.

Looking up at the bat Zak gave another sigh. "Can't you both just work together?" he questioned. He looked over at the girl who had gotten wet because of his pokemon's antics before walking over to her. "I am quite sorry." he apologized giving a small bow of his head. "Zue has a tendency of saying 'hello' by perching upon other's heads and Flora dislikes all things which fly"

The golbat flapped above before settling itself upon his trainer's shoulder. A compromise the two had come to agree upon. Its beady eyes stared down at the horsea on guard now, knowing full well that it could possible attack him once more.

Shina looked around at the well and truly stalled caravan. She had been hoping to get in a few more hours of travel, but it didn't look like anyone was thinking of packing up lunch and moving along. They were barely halfway through the day, and Shina was a bit worried that if they made a habit of early stops, they would miss the travel window for the Freezelands. It would be bearable traveling that icy wasteland in summer, but even waiting until autumn would drop the temperatures dangerously low. Shina decided to take the subtle track, and began packing up the remains of lunch, hoping the other trainers would catch on and join in.

Natalie looked around and saw Shina packing up. She decided she should get started at packing up too. She finished her lunch and zipped up her backpack, "Dusty, hurry up! Almost time to leave." Then she gets on the rented bike.

"{Okay, okay.}" Dusty starts eating the apple quickly and took a sip of water out of the river and flew to Natalie's shoulder.

Koorie had kept her distance from the group for the most part, keeping a wary eye out for the youngest arrivals. Personally, she thought that such a young age was a little too much for a pokemon adventure, but apparently she was one of few who thought that since children everywhere were sent out each year. Of course, she would never allow her own children to leave until they were mentally and physically mature enough to handle how tough the world could be.

She paused in her musings, then laughed out loud to herself. Right, like she'd ever have kids. Sliding off of Ares, she gave him the command to stay, then walked into the group to join Shina in the clean up. "This is a rather nice day for travel, don't you think?"
