This was the time. As Tim jumped through the window, he turned in mid air and chucked his smoke pellets at the glass. On impact they exploded into a thick vapor, concealing not only the four heroes and hiding their next moves, but keeping their pursuers from surveying the environment outside the building. They couldn't possibly see the ground, much less jump and accurately calculate their landing. Robin hoped this could buy them a little more time, if only a few seconds to disappear.

((Threshold? Oh don't worry, Maho, I got a surprise for him!))
"Hold up a sec', Hex. I see some movement!" Arell warned. Little did he know that his quick pause just saved Kai, Tim, Starfire and any particular hero's a** from the incoming wave of down-home destruction (which kinda sounds like a badass album title) BUT ANYWAYS . . . as soon as he could see a red flash get out of the way Arell smirked. There would be no repeats of Kai in the way of fire today.
"Now?" Hex asked, getting impatient as Arell kept them trained on Threshold.
"LIGHT DAT GAWD-DAMN PIECE A' MONKEY s**t UP!!!!" Arell shouted as Hex pressed the button, holding it down. Several cruise missiles detached and screamed towards Threshold. It didn't take a rocket scientist or braniac to figure out what their intentions were!

Dart was greatly displeased that he hadn't ended Threshold in the same moment of the attack, but the psychic resonance was now released, allowing him to breathe and that meant he could actually focus on his target, this also meaning that the two the floor above him were also free to act and probably more were released.
His eyes widened, unsure how this being knew his name, but he could not think on it long as Threshold summoned forth his energy and shot it directly at him. Dart cursed his foolishness in using up the girth of his power to act in freeing himself. While it now freed him, he had almost no power left to him, only enough to rely on his form for maybe a minute or two more before being forced to transform back. He cursed his short luck and did the only thing that he could in that moment, raising his sword and made an over-head swing, clashing his enchanted steel against the beam.
Wood beams blistered and broke from pressure exerted from his back as he fought for hold, desperately keeping his sword downward at that precious angle to prevent the beam from outright blasting past it and hitting him. The power was strong and if it didn't let up soon, he would certainly be upon its mercy, the beam threatening to force him through the ceiling and upper floors...and that was when he saw the strange beast flying and roaring outside.
He caught a glimps of the great beast from one of the blasted open windows on his floor and saw as it launched several large tube things outwards, all of them pointing towards downwards and, presumably, were moving towards Threshold's location. Dart smiled widely at seeing this. he may not have to deal with Threshold at all. If he could just hold his ground for a moment, he wouldn't have to dirty his hands.

Jason put his guns back down to his sides as the psychic attack had ceased. He could slightly hear the attacker through the floorboards. Looking down around his feet, he whispered back to Angelica.
"We're gonna need a hole in the floor right about where we're standing then... Make this ground weak enough for us to break through it, and I'll take care of the rest."
Without a doubt, Jason was going to put a bullet in this guy's head. He was fed up with the distractions. it was to the point where he didn't even care if he and Firestar got what they came for in the first place. Jason was full ready to just call it a day and leave. He whispered again.
"As soon as this is all over.... please tell me you have a bed or something we can sleep on.. cause this trip was a bit more than I expected."

Threshold energy beam tried to burn through Dart's enchanted sword, only to see his telekinetic blasts reflect on off the mirrored blade -- diffusing some of the energy harmlessly away from anyone. Matthew had focused so much attention to defeating Dart Feld.... he almost didn't see the missiles rapidly approaching him from a gaping hole in the stately Manor. When the mentalist noticed the missiles screaming in, he knew he didn't have enough time to dodge. Threshold halted his attack on the dragoon, and reinforced his force field attempting to save himself. Firestar was about to attack the mentalist below her, when her green eyes spy the incoming missiles from the combat helicopter. Those observant eyes widen in shock, "Holy Mary!!!... Jason!!!" Angelica hooked an arm around Red Hood and immediately took flight. Diving to the first floor, Angelica shouted at the green dragoon, "Green Knight, take cover!!!!!" After shouting, the fiery mutant raised a fire shield and aimed for a window. Even though the window was closed, the glass immediately melted away into nothingness just before exiting the aperture and into the night air once more. Immediately, the mutant gained altitude and angled away from the mad helicopter pilot and the gunslinger -- deliberately putting the mansion in between her and the chopper. As she did so, small flashes could be seen from the forest edge popping shots at both Firestar and her companion and the fleeing bats. Angelica's fire shield protected the flying pair from ground fire. The other set of shots sliced through the smoke screen -- uncertain of reaching their intended targets. When the missiles struck, the detonation vaporized the Black Talons near Threshold. Whilst the helicopter ordinance didn't quite penetrate Threshold's force field -- it did propel him out the back of the conflagration that engulfed most of the first floor. The I.O. mentalist was literally blown out the opposite side of the mansion where the Bat-family was attempting to escape... and ironically within sight of Red Hood and Firestar. Threshold tumbled numerous times across the grass and shrubs, until finally coming to rest flat out near a small tree. The shield drops from Matthew Callahan losing consciousness. Cold Doubt I hope it's okay that I get both Angelica and Jason out of the blast radius. MahoHaku Incoming shots from snipers for Kai, Richard, Star....

However, a few of those snipers stopped shooting at the escapees. Not because of the helicopter, but an unseen force that had been working through the trees. One got its face clawed OFF. The other one shot through the chest.
"Goddamn! What the hell is with all these goddamn freaks?!" one sniper asked under his breath as a raccoon on rocket skates skidded in front of him with a loaded blaster point blank at his head.
"Who you callin' Freak, hairless?! Now WHY ARE YOU RUINING MY VACATION?!" was the raccoon's response.
((Enter Rocket Raccoon from God-Knows-Where))
Rocket sneered as the human sniper stuttered.
"What the ********?! A talking raccoon?!" he yelped before Rocket turned his head and part of his neck into chunky salsa.
"What in the hell is a raccoon anyhow?! Goddamn bald ******** making words up as they go . . . now where the hell's GROOT?!" he growled aloud before realizing he left Groot back on the ship. Damn if I could use a little backup in here! Now if these assholes could stop firing I could actually THINK! he thought as he darted. Assuming that the idiots in the uniforms were the ones causing all the nonsense, he decided to start with them.

Relief immediately washed over Dart, glad to have not exert himself anymore as the psychicer detracted focus from Dart to protecting himself. However, just as the explosions rang through the first floor, fire and shock-waves washing throughout the mansion, Dart felt the time come.
"G-GUH! s**t!" He cursed as he felt the energy sapped from his body, emerald light once more growing out from his body, but as quickly as it had come, it broke apart, vanishing in a few hundred smaller sparks. He was out of Dragoon Magic and with that, he began to plummet to the ground below. In desperation, he swung his gauntlet covered hand outward towards the balcony he knew was there, wear the pair had just exited prior and grasped upon the ledge, wood creaking and cracking with his weight. Soreness rang through his arm and body and smoke began to rise from the floor below, the fires mingling with those of the fires he started on this floor from his crazed rampage.
He wasn't safe. He didn't know if the mansion had taken enough damage to cause for it's weight to be unbalanced enough to topple, coupled with the growing fires, he would quickly be running out of options for getting out. Heaving himself up to the second floor, he rolled and began jogging back down the hallway where he originally came from. Instead of moving into that room however, he continued forward, rushing towards the nearby window to see what had become of the psychic that bombarded him. From the window he could see him sprawled on the ground in some grassy knolls, underneath a small tree, seemingly unconscious. His teeth gritted, knowing that this might be his best lead and opened the window, leaping down to the ground below.
Too tired to run, he made his way towards Threshold by walking, his trusty sword firm in hand as his eyes solely focused on the villain, determined to get answers from him he needed. Certainly this cretin would tell him what he wanted to know and soon found himself standing beside Threshold and pointed his sword at the being's chest. He didn't care if anyone noticed him or if anyone was determined to stop him, all that was fueling Dart now was thoughts of home, his hope and his need to find the only thing to get him there, "Wake up you sack of crud...no sudden movements and I won't end your a**. You're going to tell me everything you know about Bruce Wayne. Right. Now."

"What the shi-" came out of Red Hood's mouth before he was whisked away by his partner and away from the blast. He was using his arms to protect his face from debris, despite having Firestar's shield around them.
As the two of them were floating in the air, Jason looked down to see a downed man next to a tree an assumed he was the mentalist they were up against. To further his assumption, he noticed Dart walking towards the man. "...bring me lower, Angelica."
As Firestar brought Red Hood to the ground a few feet away from Dart and Threshold, Jason stepped away from his partner and walked towards the mentalist and his ally (at least for now). He heard Dart ask for any information about Bruce. There was a small sigh underneath Red Hood's helmet at this. Without missing a beat, Jason stepped forward, put the barrel of his handgun on Threshold's temple, and pulled the trigger.
Not even phased by the loud bang, he turned back towards Firestar and spoke to Dart. "I guarantee you he wasn't going to cooperate anyway."
As he arrived back at his partner's side, he spoke in a low volume to her.
"Come on.. Let's get out of here.."

By then, the big-a** whirlybird came around to the other side, the snipers dropping like flies as the 'copter landed. Jonah and Arell were laughing their asses off as the I.O. punks that somehow managed to survive THEIR onslaught tried running into the woods, either getting ambushed by booby traps . . . if they were lucky.
"Reckon we won, Jonah." Arell said with a chuckle as he lit a smoke while Hex surveyed the damage.
"Reckon so, Cajun. Rest of 'em're too dumb or too dead." Hex drawled in agreement before being offered and lighting up alongside Arell. Those Lucky Strikes weren't as good as the fresh-rolled, but in a pinch, they could use it.

No sooner then he had found what he had wanted, finally able to get some answers, the Red Hood put the pistol against his opponents skull. Before he could even speak a word against him, he blastered his skull in with a projectile from his weapon, causing a small pool of blood to leak out from underneath his head. He was dead and so was Dart's intel.
He growled loudly at that, "What the hell!? Do you have any idea what you've done!? I needed him to tell me where Bruce is!"
He sheathed his sword, following step a moment later to join the pair, not having heard Red Hood's whisper to her, "What am I supposed to do now? Unless you two know how to find him, what am I supposed to do? I need his help to get me back home..."

Rose stopped amist the smoke that had been thrown.
"Threshold, can you read me. Teens are escaping. You should have weakened them. Hello?"
She called through her communication link in her helmet. Getting very irritated that such things could happen. Rose hated failure and this would not be acceptable.
Kai fell to the ground hard on landing. Her one leg buckled beneath her becoming quite numb for reasons she didn't know yet. Not thinking anything of it she hopped up quickly running on using her leg still to some capacity to follow Tim and Grayson.
Jack becoming quite upset for the same reasons as his wife but also because she had been upset decided to just leap out of the window. Even if he couldn't stick a landing the suit would protect him from the fall. Out of the smoke bellowed a metal armored suit falling hard on the ground where Kai landed. He raised his arm pointing his wrist down to shoot of electrically charged metal caps to the teens.
"Come back or I'll have to use brutal force!"
He called out to the shadowy figures in the distance. The night was dark and the teens could easily be covered in shadows soon. He wouldn't let them get out of sight. If they didn't respond to his threat he would shoot at them without fail in his aim.
Grayson recognized that Kai's landing wasn't up to par. She fell harder than she should have. He looked back more often then before to make sure that she was still behind them keeping up.

Robin quickly recognized where Nightwing was leading them, but the loud resounding metal suit meant to him that they needed to find cover, and fast. They were after all surrounded by dark trees and brush, good enough for anyone to hide. After they were hidden they could continue from there. Being between Kai and d**k, he whispered to them.
"Let's disappear."
Tim ducked with no other warning into one of the bushes next to them, one that was just as easily accessible for the other two.

Richard was the first to jump after Tim taking his lead. There was no reason to stay out in the open anymore and this way they could get to the cliffs with some cover. He kept a tight grip on Starfire as he carried her balancing himself as he ran so that he wouldn't stumble under the built Tameranian.
Kai followed as well and by this time she sensed that there was something seriously wrong with her leg. She slowed a little before falling to the ground where they had cover searching for what might be the cause. It couldn't have been a bullet wound because it would hurt much much more, to the contrary it actually felt quite numb as if it was falling asleep. After feeling around for a moment she pulled a dart from her leg.
"My mother... Let's hope she doesn't join in with dad or we're screwed."
She whispered mostly to herself before standing up.
Fed up Jack shot off the caps in the direction the teens were heading. Shooting off into the darkness hoping to hit their shadow hidden figures.
"Come back here and fight like the heroes you think you are!"
He shouted angrily chasing after them in their general direction. His next trick was to shoot off another electrically charged rope and swinging it in their direction to light up the woods. The first thing that was hit was the bush they turned behind. The sparks of the metal rope hit the dry branches and started portions of the bush on fire. The sparks bounced off the tree trunks lighting the area as if by a strobe light.
Kai shot out quickly to avoid the sparks and caught up to her companions with haste. Her leg's numbness made it difficult to not lose her balance but the adrenaline that shot through her again almost made it seem as if she were leaping forward to avoid her father.
"Nightwing, keep going with star. Tim help Nightwing get the boat. I'll catch up soon."
She spread her wings leaping into the air up through the trees. This form of travel was much faster for her especially considering her leg was going numb and spreading. Flying back around to catch her father's attention he shot out at her. She was able to dodge with ease and good luck both. She swerved, swooped and rolled in the sky.

MahoHaku Looks like Jackie-boy may get the fight he's looking for. Shame it ain't from the birds, but what the hell. Raccoons don't have that short of a lifespan anyway! It was then that SOMEHOW, out of pure, sheer luck, that Rocket Raccoon AND Arell and Jonah Hex BOTH were within earshot when Jack Rose made the grievous error to taunt Kai and the Bird Brigade. "Who th' hell's THAT?!" Hex asked. "Dat's Doctah Summahs I assume. Da head a*****e at dat one Desert hole I helped tear up." Arell stated, watching from the copter. "C'mon, Cajun, let's blow a hole in 'im!" Hex growled as he pulled out his gun. Arell nodded as he pulled out his trusty .357 magnums, slowly grinning. "It's gonna do me good t' end dat ********> he drawled before he spotted something . . . was it a Raccoon? With what looked like a weapon THREE TIMES its size? ON ROCKET SKATES?!
"HEY!! You want a fight, COME GET SOME!!!" Rocket screamed as Jonah and Hex stared at this, wide-eyed. Arell even looked at his cigarettes.
"Damn! Did mom pack these with LSD before I left? I KNOW I bought cigarettes in Vegas, but ********> Arell yelped as Hex nodded.
"Reckon we oughta help 'im . . . it?" Hex asked as Arell nodded.
"Sho'! Betcha dere's more comin'!" he drawled as Arell as he whistled sharply.
"Hey, Jackass!!! Looks like you got one!!!" Arell rushed forward, jet-powered Raccoon aside as Hex took a more tactical route.
What the hell is this idiot doing?! Doesn't he realize that I'm about to get him?! Rocket thought at the look of this idiot who was charging Jack on the OTHER side of him . . . and . . . turning green . . . and large. "HOLY ********!!! IS THAT THE HULK?! he thought. Clearly what they needed was a plan if they were gonna take Jack, Rose and the remaining IO thugs down.
Guess who didn't have one?
Yep. Those guys. Guardians of the Galaxy? Not quite.
