Misty sighed and leaned her head against him. There was at least one thing she could do to try to make a little more room for them. But she'd never done it before, so she wasn't sure it would even work. And she wasn't exactly willing to open herself up and close herself back up with only the hopes that her healing factor would streach and grow as needed.

C.J. stood there in thought . . . holding Misty. He severely cared for her, but at this po- Wait, he had an idea!!
"I think my buddy and his brother should be back this week. Dun' can probably help with this!" he said . . . before realizing Dundee miiiiiight not be the best choice, and going to a Hospital? Well . . . that better be one really well-guarded hospital!

Misty glanced up at him. "You think so?" she asked. At this point, anything was worth a shot. Hospitals in New York or Gotham were probably out of the question for a while.

C.J. smiled. "Oh yeah . . . that kid's a GENIUS. Kinda ditzy though, but I think he can do something about it." he said, unaware of the meeting and the interesting turn of events which had unfolded in a multitude of places.

"You should be alright, hon. Wonder what those two got into anyhow . . ." he said, that last part more like he was thinking aloud. It wasn't like them to be gone for very long without calling . . . then again, Arell had a tendency for completely VANISHING and coming back later as if nothing had happened . . . par for the course, really.
"Yeah . . . I wonder how long they're gonna take for 'em to realize Crazy Cat's responsible for Arell flying off the handle tryin' to kill the top brass at IO . . ."
I give 'em . . . a few posts. Crystal's smart, Kai's got Dun's computer. The other two . . . well right now, Arell sees CC as his ally, and Dun' is dun. Give it a week.

At about that time, a lanky black cat popped his head over the top of the cart the two lovebirds were next to. He grinned, looking down at the two, and laid himself down on the edge of the roof.
Oh you know if I have it my way, I'll get away scott-free again. he thought with a low, satisfied purr.

The black cat snickered, then got up and hopped down off of the roof of the cart. Landing directly on CJ's head and bounding off of him as the man's hat was shoved down over his face.
Helpful enough? the cat thought as he dove under the train.

C.J. looked around when CC tried to use the bill of C.J.'s hat as a springboard, putting it low over his eyes. "I have a hunch this is gonna be par for the course for Arell an' I . . ." he mused aloud and moved his hat up to see . . . a cat on the ground who just scurried under the train.
"Well, hey there li'l feller . . ." he said in a hushed voice. Letting go of Misty, he crouched down and held out his hand.

The cat stopped and turned around to look back at CJ as he crouched down in front of the cart he had ran under. He stared up at the man, down at his hand, then back up at him. Debating if he should go along with it, or just keep his cover. He already had one of his duplicates with Arell...one at Edels...one at...you know what, forget it. Why not.
With a small grin, he inched his way out from under the cart, sniffing at the hand as any other cat would a stranger.
Misty moved to look over CJ's shoulder at the black cat.

C.J. smiled as he slowly pet the black cat. "Kinda cold out here, buddy. You'd be better off stayin' with us tonight." he said, but looked over at Misty.
" . . . uh, if that's okay, of course." he said, his eyes looking into Misty's as almost like he was asking for permission.

Misty smiled a bit as the little black stray started purring in response to CJ's petting. "It's fine by me." she replied, leaning over his shoulder to give the cat a scratch behind the ears. "So long as he doesn't try to hop up on the hammock with us."

"Sounds fair enough for me. We got plenty of places, and I think I have some milk and shrimp in the fridge." C.J. said as he pet the cat.
"Wanna stay with us for a spell, buddy?" he offered to the black cat. It did kinda look like Artemis, but at the same time . . . not really.
"Meh, figured I'd mention Artie. Seeing how with the way things are going SOoooo well in IO, I doubt I'm gonna see 'im again."
You really think Arell and Crystal are gonna break up?
"I dunno. I'm trying to keep my relationship with Misty above water."
