Genin  "To protect something is to fight for it; to die for it" ‘Holy Crap…’ Gage thought as the entire sight before him unfolded. The squirrels that where waiting for him apparently knew what they where doing, so it didn’t leave Gage anytime for a substitution. Gage was a dead man, that is, until Shinji had to butt in. ‘That son of a gun...’ Gage thought as the kunai hit the katana that was fixing to indulge in Gage’s backside. Gage was simple amazed that he had been beaten by squirrels, of all thing, squirrels! Gage back flipped out of the tree and landed next to Kai, “Sorry, I guess I wasn’t good enough for Shinji, but I’m sure we’d of figured something out.” Gage whispered as he eyed Shinji suspiciously. Gage couldn’t tell if Shinji was testing his abilities or just amusing himself with Gage’s downfalls. Gage had executed everything perfectly; why if the squirrels where a little less smart, Gage would of made Shinji look like the fool, but no, it had to be Kai and Gage, AGAIN! Gage then looked around and noticed the new kid. ‘Great some company…’ He thought as he looked around to see if there was anyone else. After about fifteen seconds of looking, Gage was satisfied that no one else had saw his shameful defeat and looked at Shinji, “Well, now that the noise had stopped what next?” Gage was full ready for Shinji to heap more insults upon him, then probably train Gage so dang hard that he would have to sleep standing for the next week, but Gage could care less. In Gage’s mind, now, he had set a secondary goal, ‘I’m going to find some type of fault in this guys skills…’ This was it, Gage was already pissed off at his sensei, not a good way to start training. Well, Since the squirrels are gone... I'm Kenji Kana. " Kenji said, walking over to Gage and holding his hand out to shake it. " Pleasure to meet you. " He said, laughing. Kenji was still in his fairly tight Ninja attire, so his veins pulsed on his arms. They weren't even that large, just extremely toned. They looked like they were made to preform a specific job, and for the last five years they had. " I'm the only person who can use ice techniques that I know of, besides my parents. " Kenji said, laughing, his hand still outstretched.

Shinji simply shook his head as he watched the squirrels scamper about. As he watched them pick up all the weapons, he finally understood where they had amassed such a large inventory in the first place. However, unwilling to forfeit his custom weapon to a pack of rodents, Shinji formed a few one handed seals as the Living Weapon kanji on the Flame Wheel began to glow, immediately lifting off of the ground as it returned to him in a straight path.
As he caught it however, he realized that a rather dazed squirrel was still attached to his weapon, continuing to cling to it for dear life. sighing heavily, Shinji picked the squirrel up by the scruff of his neck, watching his face grow greener and greener by the second with sickness. Unwilling to be vomited on by a rodent, Shinji quickly placed the squirrel in the branch of a nearby tree, noticing that the golden acorn flags had begun appearing not only on the one tree, but on all the trees in the training fields. Shinji thought it was a little overkill, but he'd let the squirrels have it for now if it would only allow him some peace.
Turning to the others with a bit of a "see how it's done?" look, Shinji simply laughed at Kai's comments and wore a smile amidst the amusing nature of the entire exchange... "Don't worry about it Kai, we'll find you a hammock or something, or make some sort of fake tree for you to 'be tired in' ". Then turning to Gage on the boy's question, Shinji looked slightly amused, before returning to where they had left off... "Well, you still have yet to tell me what you want to learn or how I can get you started. There would be no point in training you in something you don't want to learn, since your heart would not be in it. So tell me where you want to get started and we'll work from there."

She could plant another tree but she would be way too old when it was fully grown. Unlike her special tree which was planted fully grown she didn't have to wait one bit for it. Kai could sleep anywhere except a normal bed. "Bah, I'll just sleep here for now." After saying that she tipped herself over the boulder then slid off till she was halfway on the ground and half on the rock. She had planned to go fully on the ground but was already sleep when hitting 'rock bottom'. "Zzzz."

{ She's supposed to be there to help genin with whatever needs to be helped with. And it's not that she can't touch the scrolls, she's not allowed in the library. She can still teach taijutsu, or even just help the genin practice. The one thing she shouldn't be doing is lying around doing nothing, since that shows rather badly on her probation period. }

Genin "To protect something is to fight for it; to die for it" Gage reached out and firmly gripped Kenji’s hand and shook for a second or so. “The name’s Gage. Oh, and I’m sure you know these two.” Gage said as he let go of Kenji’s hand and pointed at the two other people.. “That’s Shinji, my Sensei, and sleeping beauty over there is Kai.” Gage said somewhat dazed that Kai was already asleep, though this time it was on a rock. ‘What the hell? Didn’t she learn anything from the squirrels?’ He thought as he shook his head, ‘What a shame…’ Gage’s movement ceased as he Sensei began to speak. ‘Crap…’ Gage thought as he listened half-heartily. His head dropped for what seemed like ages to himself, but in reality it was for about thirty seconds of silence. He kicked at the dirt below him and couldn’t come to a conclusion. Finally, when he was about to tell his Sensei he didn’t know what to do, he looked up and saw the acorn flags. ‘That’s it!’ Gage thought for a moment as a smirk began to plague his face. His eyes moved from the flags to Shinji’s eyes. “I want to train for senerios such as this…” Gage said pointing towards the acorn flags. “Because what am I if I can’t even defeat squirrels; will I be ready for three ninja on my own? What ever it takes, I’m ready!” He said as he unzipped his jacket. There was something in Gage’s eye that made him seem diferent in some way, maybe it was determination, but who would know? Gage removed his hood then took off his jacket, revealing his long birthmark that followed down his face onto his chest. He was going to do what ever it took to be ready for a situation like the one that just happened. Gage folded his jacket and tossed it on the ground next to a tree. “We’ve still got a little time.” Gage said pointing to the sky. The sky, at this present moment, was a golden orange, which seem to make Gage’s birthmark glow some. “I’m ready for whatever you send me; I still have some chakra left in me.” He said remembering he needed chakra to fight. " Kenji said smiling. " Actually, I was rather clueless as to their names. I've never seen Shinji-san, and I saw Kai-chan with some other girl." He said, smiling and walking a safe distance away. Standing at the side of a large enough area he wouldn't get hurt, Kenji put his left foot on the right side of his right, and sat down easily. " If you don't mind, I'd rather enjoy watching this. " Kenji said smilng, sitting on the ground with his arms crossed. Kenji yawned a bit, and laid down on his side, so that he was able to prop himself up on his elbow, in a more relaxed position. He didn't know how long this could take, and he didn't particularly care that much either way.

Shinji said going into a bit of deep thought. A sudden wave of pain crashed over him as he could be seen wincing slightly as his eyes fluttered closed for a moment only, his body racked with unquenchable and agonizing pain. He would have finished his speech quicker had it not been for the sudden washing of pain over his body, but to the others, it might just look like a strange, yet dramatic pause for effect. Once the pain had passed however, Shiji lifted his head with a grin and watched the boy prepare for what he must have thought would be incredibly tough training to remove his jacket.
"Very well then. Not that you shouldn't already be able to take Squirrels on without any relative difficulty, but we can definitely work on your ability to take on and defeat multiple enemies. A solid base of ninjutsu technique and taijutsu should do the trick for starters. Katon has some rather interesting jutsu which fan out and spread against multiple opponents. Before we can teach you those however, you must learn the basics. Save me some time would you and tell me what techniques you already know and we can move on to teaching you what you'll need to know before going to the next level."

Genin "To protect something is to fight for it; to die for it" Gage had a great deal of information flowing through his mind when his sensei flinched. He thought of all the possible conclusions. He thought of almost everything known to make someone flinch then he remembered the one weakness of the Konaga Clan. They experienced un-wanted and severe twenty-four-seven pain, which seemed a great deal of good information to Gage. He soaked it all in quickly. He would need it when he was to defeat his sensei. When Shinji mentioned Katon, Gage sighed, even though that was his element, Gage hadn’t learned much of it in the academy, instead he chose to go the way of an assassin and learn shadow techniques. Gage let out a short sigh “Currently, I only know Yojin Bunshin no Jutsu, I didn’t really learn much Katon at the academy, I had chosen to learn some Shadow techniques.” Gage said looking at the ground now. He hadn’t lost his fighting spirit, but he just wished that he would have had time to learn more Katon in the academy… "I am willing to fight; to die protecting" -l ₪ l -
