"I haven't had funnel cake before... I think I'll have to try it later." Jaden said as he finished the food, and picked up the bill as the waiter placed it on the table. "Yes, I'm ready to go." He said as he stood up, and placed a few silver on the table to cover the bill and a tip for the waiter and waited for Rikku to stand up and start walking.

RIkku blushed and smiled as they walked out. "ya know... i could've paid..." She stated shyly... it was the first time a boy had ever paid for her... normally people expect for her to pay because of her standing... but it was the first time someone had paid for her since she was little. "What would you like to do now?" She asked.

"you say that like they were downright upset?" He said confused. "I understand it must be hard to raise a blind child... but why was it such a bad thing? you were healthy other than that weren't they happy."

Jaden smiled as Rikku spoke about her saying that she could have paid. "Then those people didn't know how to treat a some one nicely then." Jaden said as they walked. "Hmmm... How about some of the carnival games? Its not yet dark enough for the rides yet."

((sorry went camping on short notice summer is a very busy time for me, once the school year starts i will be much more avid about responding again.))

((it kind of works that thunder king is gone because we can get all the ushy gushy festival stuff out of the way while he isn't here lol))

As Rikku bumped Jaden, he smiled, and looked over at her for a moment before hearing a scream causing him to jump, and look into the direction of the scream. Seeing it was just some people screaming over a celebrity, he laughed at himself for his sudden nervousness. I never understood that... He thought to himself as he shook his head then decided to answer Rikku.
"I can try to win you a prize." He said playfully.

"We'll see." She said smiling. "We do have a little time to kill before it gets dark." She stated walking around to the carnival. "how about that game?" She said looking over at the oh-so-stereotypical, throw the ball, knock over the bottles game. "Care to try first?" She asked smiling.

"All right then. Can't be too hard." He smiled as he stepped up to the game booth, and payed for three throws. Taking the first ball, he tossed it at the cans and completely missed. "Heh... Used to throwing knives, not balls." He laughed as he took the second one and missed again. Taking the third one, he tossed it into the air and to see its weight. Turning, he looked at Rikku. "I'll let you go now." He smiled and waited for her.

"It's just my parents were more the type who just wanted too be normal, just blend in with everyone else, nothing speacial...that's why i wasn't exactally their ideal child" Alexander says. "But I've moved on, I don't really care anymore. I mean they still raised my right and did what they could for me" He says.

((Yeah except i have had 2 back to back camping trips as well so ididn't get to do much posting either.))

"Um Ok i will try..." SHe said grabbing a ball. and throwing it... it fell about a foot infront of the bottles. Rikku blushed embarrassed and quickly picked up the second ball which she threw harder, but COMPLETELY missed the target by a couple feet. She was getting frustrated now and quickly grabbed the third ball and chucked it at the target, knocking off on of the bottom bottles and the top one but the other bottom one remained standing, so she didn't get a prize... but at least she hit the target. "Your turn." She said embarassed at how bad she did.

"do you still speak with your parents?" Killian asked hoping he wasn't prying to much. "And if we need to go to altea for something... will you accompany us?"

Watching as Rikku as she threw the balls, he didn't say anything until she finished. "Ok. I have a good feeling about this one." Jaden smiled as he stepped back up to the game booth, and tossed the last ball that he had knocking over all three cans. "Pick your prize." He said as he smiled looking over at Rikku.

((Sorry went to the beach, these last couple of weeks before school are going to be really hectic but i will try to post as much as i can.))

Rikku smiled happily, even though she was a little embarrassed that she couldn't do it but he could. But she picked out a prize anyway, a snow white bear with a red ribbon on it. "Thank you." She said blushing as they walked away from the ball game, it was now thoroughly dark and all the rides lit up and the sounds of people's happiness filled the air. "C'mon do you want to ride some rides? you pick!" She said happily as they walked.
Killian.
"Again i don't mean to pry... but is it something bad if an elf is born blind?" HE asked calmly. "I mean you say they wanted you to blend in and what not... but weren't there any other blind elves?" He asked.

alex shook his head. "No, any sort of thing is abnormal in my race, there was no other blind elf, atleast when I was born and a child there wasn't, and a doupt another one will be born for several generations" Alexander said. And when he said several generations, that men thousands of years due too the long lives of the elven people.

Jaden smiled as Rikku smiled. For some reason he liked her smile. "Hmmm..." Jaden wondered which ride they could both enjoy. He liked the slightly slower rides, while she liked the faster rides. Catching out of the corner of his eye that didn't have many people in line for it he decided that was be a good one. It had three arms that stretched out from the center, which where attacked to four more arms that also spun around as the first three did. The seats sat on the end of these four. Above the ride had a sign that said "Scrambler". "How about that one?" He asked as he pointed to the ride and started walking over to it.

((that is one of my favorite small rides lol))
"Ok!" She said as they walked over to it, righta as it was getting done with the previous ride. she walked up to the ride and hopped inside, as Jaden followed and it powerd up. slow at first but gaining speed. with every corner they went she smashed herself into jaden trying to "Squish" him playfully like she had always done when she rode the ride when she was little.

"It kinda sucks that you get pegged as the abnormal one though... but your lucky, at least the elves didn't see it as an omen or anything bad... from rikku and I's experience they tend to be a rather superstitious race, ya know?" Killian stated walking around the square, which had begun to fill with people wanting to be here early and get a good spot.
