Conner nodded and sighed. "Thank you for taking care of him." He looked down at Moya and gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead. "Take care, I will be back, and I will come through the door next time." He looked at Shilo one more time before heading to the door.
"Be safe Conner." Moya crossed her arms over her stomach and looked at Nik. "Please take him to the door so he doesn't get lost?"

Nik nodded and followed after Connor until he was in front of him, guiding him through the house. This guy seemed nice, but he was still weary. He looked a lot like his father, and Nik was still biting back instinct at this point. Getting to the door he held it open for him, waiting. "I hope you won't be offended if I change the locks after today."

Conner nodded and smiled a little. "I would too if some stranger broke into my house and watched their daughter sleep." He walked out of the door and then turned around to look back at Nik. "What is your daughter's name?"

This was taking longer than he expected. Still he simply crossed his arms, leaning against the door as he debated whether to tell him or not. Sympathy won out. Damnit. "Shilo. Her name is Shilo."

Conner smiled and his eyes started to sparkle a little. "Shilo." He nodded and sighed. "Thank you. I'll be back, but not too soon, I promise." He walked down the stairs and down the street, to his home in the other part of the village.
Moya sat on the window seat and watched Shilo sleep. This was a lot to take in and soon she knew she would go into shock and start the sobbing, but not right now.

Watching him walk away for a moment Nik closed the door, locking it with a sigh as he went back upstairs. Spotting Moya he went over to her, hugging her gently first. He was a little shocked, she had never mentioned a brother, and he hadn't seen mention of one in her family file. "Why don't you go lay down Moya? It's a lot to take in."

Moya nodded slowly and stood up. "Yeah, it is." She looked at Shilo one more time before walking slowly back to their room. She sat down on the bed and looked out the window, not really knowing what to think.

Waiting until she was out the door he decided it was best to leave her be for a little bit, sitting on the window seat. He didn't know what to make of this day, too much was happening at once and they were still trying to catch up. Looking over at Shilo he watched her sleep, smiling softly. "You are one lucky child."

Shilo sat up and looked at her dad. She had woken up when her uncle came through the window, but didn't want anyone to know that. She sat there with a smile on her face and made soft noises at him, holding up her arms, wanting to be picked up.

Why was he not surprised that she was really awake? Because she had been way too deep a sleeper during that whole episode. Shaking his head he gave an amused sigh before standing up, picking her up out of the crib and holding her close as he sat on the ground next to her blocks. He was amazed that Connor hadn't tripped on them. "You know, you were supposed to be asleep."

Shilo giggled and played with the blocks, sorting them out into words. "Sorry, the man kind of scared me but he smelled like mama so I didn't move."

That wasn't necessarily a good thing, but he didn't say that. At least her nose worked. Shaking his head he lifted her back into his lap, kissing her head. Luckily he had heard them on the baby monitor. "It's ok. Daddy's not mad."

"I'm sorry I didn't do anything daddy. I should have ran." She curled up in his lap and made a sighing sound.

He smiled slightly at that, stroking her head lightly. "Shilo, you can just barely stand and walk. Running probably wouldn't have been an option just yet. And I don't think you could have done anything. I don't know what he can do." And that pissed him off more than anything, making him hold her a little tighter. Moya's brother or no, he still wasn't fully trusting him. Not when he didn't know him.

Shilo shifted and licked his face to help feel better. She sat there and cocked her head to one side, panting softly.
