Callista's face flushed. I don't know. Your blood...it made me feel...different. I found myself wanting to do that to you. She paused and collected her feelings. I still do. She tried to push the images away from the surface along with the feelings they created in her. She was all too aware of Valzar sitting next to her and she shuddered.

Callista shook her head. "That's the thing, Valzar. It wasn't discomfort like pain. I enjoyed it. It felt like fire was burning inside of me. I wanted to share it with you and before I could stop myself I did." She didn't tell him that she still felt the fire smoldering in her.

Callista nodded. "Yes, it was burning, but the burning felt good. Like this." She sent him the feeling she was experiencing. She felt like her insides were on fire, burning to touch something, no someone. To make him feel the intoxicating flames that she did.

Valzar felted his head swim for a moment as the sensations overcame him. He was left breathing a litter harder as they subsided. "That was...different..."

"...Not as unpleasant as I thought it would be," Valzar admitted quietly. Actually the feeling had been nothing like he'd feared, it was even...pleasurable in some way he didn't really understand. He'd felt in his veins the same fire and experienced a strange connection with Callista as his blood flowed into her...

Callista nodded. "I thought about you too. When Serena took me out with those other males, I kept thinking about how none of them could ever measure up to you. I wasn't even interested in them. I felt all alone too. Like a piece of me was missing."
