((roll = 1d20 + 17 DC: 20)) Lula decided she'd try something a little new. She'd never tried walking on anything but the ground for any length of time. She knew how to free run, but she didn't know how a shinobi did it. She decided that that would be a very useful skill to have. She walked up to a tree and decided she wouldn't take a running start. She'd do it slowly. She pushed her chakra to her feet and tried to work it so that she was pulling against what her feet were touching. She placed one foot on the tree and tried to push off and keep on the tree.Chakra wall-walking

((roll = 1d20 + 17 DC: 20)) Lula gasped as she rolled backward. She thought she was going to hit the ground. And then she stopped. She looked forward... There was the canopy... And the sky... She looked back... There was the ground... "That was a little disorienting, it was..." She took a deep breath and tried for another step forward. She wasn't very far off the ground. Only two or three feet. It wouldn't hurt her to fall down. She took another breath and placed her foot down, trying to maintain the chakra flow. Don't fall... Don't fall....Chakra wall-walking

((roll = 1d20 + 17 DC: 20)) Lula gasped as she took the next step. There was still a sense of a screwed-up equilibrium, but she fought it. She was going to take another step up the tree. It would put her six to eight feet off the ground. Hell, she could jump higher than that. She continued to control her chakra as she held on to the tree, raising her foot for another step. She wasn't going to screw this up. She couldn't screw this up. She was a training shinobi, so whatever happened, she never screwed up... Now she might not get to the result as fast as someone else, but she damned well gets there. Nothing was going to stop her from that. If it took her years, she'd still learn how to walk up this tree. If this tree withered and died, she'd still be pacing up its edge. She placed her foot down and attempted to raise her following foot.Chakra wall-walking

((roll = 1d20 + 17 DC: 20)) She was amazed that she saved herself from that one. As soon as she took the step, she slid down about two feet before she pushed her foot down and saved herself the fall. She exhaled, not having noticed she'd held her breath. All right... Let's try not to do that again. She sighed. She needed to focus. Otherwise she'd just kill herself. She turned around, to walk back down the tree. Two steps to go. She turned herself around slowly and cautiously got ready to take the next few steps that would lead her to the bottom of the tree trunk.Chakra wall-walking

((roll = 1d20 + 17 DC: 20)) Lula took the next step without many problems. She slid an inch or two, but nothing drastic. She sighed. One step away form being able to transfer to solid ground again. hopefully she could make that step without killing herself. But that was the question: could she? She just had to hope so. She grinned. This was actually fun, once you got past the fact that you weren't walking on the ground and that you --an academy student-- could cut one of these down with one attack. She laughed as she got ready to take the final step.Chakra wall-walking

((roll = 1d20 + 17 DC: 20)) Lula took the next step and heard a sickening crunch. She looked down and the tree had splintered several inches in where she had placed her foot. She had apparently pushed a little too hard with her chakra. The good news was that she didn't slip an inch. She laughed. Even walking was deadly. She took her last step and the world righted itself. Now that was fun. She hadn't realized it, but some time during that exercise, the vertigo had disappeared, and she'd felt perfectly at home. She didn't even care much now that she was on the ground again. She took the world as it was as opposed to taking it as what she saw.
Lula felt more like a shinobi than ever. She was able to transform, all but teleport, clone herself, kill a man with a single shuriken, and cut trees of the forest in half. She was a deadly weapon. And that fact made her happy. She was finally worth something. Although that something happened to be less-than-something, it was still something. She laughed at the comparison and took a celebratory run up the tree, flipping off and running down an entirely different tree, ending up where she'd started. "Oh, yeah. I could get used to this wee bit o' life..." She seemed to be a fast learner. She only hoped that she didn't run out of things to learn...
Lula couldn't picture anything worse than being stuck as an academy student who's learned everything they're allowed to... She was only two jutsu away from it... She groaned. If she ever ran out fo things to do, she supposed she could ask for special permission, but she doubted she could get it. Besides, she was a 'demon...' And outsider... And she was joining their shinobi... Even if her intentions were pure --and they are-- they wouldn't trust someone like her with their puppy dog, let alone their village secrets or the ability to fight them... She would just have to make them believe her, then. If they didn't want to help her, she could get someone else to teach her... Or she could steal them, and get on with her life.Chakra wall-walking

I can still see those eyes.Konohagakure no Sato/ Academy Student/ Lvl.5/ Hp: 55/ Cp: 25/ MHp: 55 Walking over to the training area Kazumei seemed to have some new equipment with him. His new katana he brought wearing it on his lower back of his waist so he can unshealth it better. It was a fine blade and Kazumei was gonna train with the weapon making him even more deadly. Going over where were some trees to cut he can see lula in the distance and some other students he probably didn't know. Kazumei finds a place where he can train in peace and focus totally on his training. Grabbing the handle of his katana he slowly pulls it out as the shine reflects off the blade and shines a spot of light on the tree. Thats the place he wants to hit and this is how Kazumei is gonna fight with this katana. Pulling it all the way out he slashes toward the tree hoping it would make a good cut. [I don't know how this training stuff works so I'mma make my own training method for the katana i guess] Attack Melee: 8 DC: 13 [8+12=20]

Still standing strong the tree infront of him didn't fall so Kazumei has to go again. Holding the katana in his hands tightly he shined another spot on the tree for him to aim for. Not trying to hack the tree down but to control his swings and power he sets back for another slice. This one with some pepper on it he slash from an angle downward to up the tree tryin to make an "X" on the tree bark. This katana was light weight and could be easily swung to make a deadly cut even tho this tree is hard if he can make a scar like that on tree bark he could do some fatal damage to another shinobi "HA!!". ((Roll = 1d20 + 9 Roll 2 = 1d20 + 4)) Lula started thinking about what she would do next... And then she started thinking of what might happen after she ran out of shuriken... She needed to have a back up plan... She felt the comforting weight of the shuriken on her back... That's when she figured it out. If she uses the weapons she's already familiar with to learn a style she's not familiar with. She nodded. That was what she'd need. She just wished she had someone to practice with... Oh, well. All the easier to surprise them when the time came. She wasn't going to spend hardly any time on this. She needed to be ready to defend herself, but she should be more prepared to defend her friends. She was going to practice or a little bit to familiarize herself with the technique of the skill, and then she was going to remember it for a rainy day.
And then she saw Kazumei with... A katana. "Now there'd be a good one to be practicing on..." She would finish this and then challenge him to a little all-holds-barred match... She flipped the shuriken open and aimed at a tree, squaring off and preparing for her work. She spun it like she was going to throw it, slashing horizontally, and then spun farther around, slashing from the top right to the bottom left.Fuuma shuriken: A weapon of many talents
The Fuuma shuriken is a weapon that can be used from both ranged and melee perspectives. Some ranged shinobi will keep a fuuma shuriken as a last resort when all their other weapons have run out, because they are familiar with the shuriken's weight and ability, and it doesn't require training in another weapon to distract them from their primary specialization.
This training is a shinobi's ability to use the shuriken in melee. This technique uses the shuriken in this form, whether it be folded as a sword or opened and used as a rotating ring blade..

((Roll 1 = 1d20 + 9 Roll 2 = 1d20 + 4)) She'd misjudged the weapon on the first cut, and had missed... But the second slash had brought her closer to the tree, leaving a clean gash in the tree, scarring it. She grinned. She was going to like this... She had at least something standing between her and an opponent near her. She wasn't going to be completely defenseless... If nothing else, she'd be able to stand up for her teammates when she stepped in between them and the enemy. She took a breath. If it ever came down to that, she'd much rather just peg them point-blank with some shuriken, but she doubted she'd have that luck...
Lula prepared for the next round of attacks. She was practicing the slash she'd missed --the one disguised as a throw-- and was going to follow-through with an imitation of it, several inches higher. A stomach shot and a throat shot.Fuuma shuriken: A weapon of many talents

((Roll = 1d20 + 9)) Surprise. She'd followed through and left a single scar on the tree, digging a couple inches into the bark, leaving a pale line. And then she'd stepped even farther forward, slashing halfway through the trunk, so deep that Lula dashed to the side in fear that the tree might topple onto her. She took a deep breath to steady herself when the tree remained steady. She stood to the right side of the tree where she'd been.
She was going to slice two diagonal strikes, from the top right down, a couple of inches apart. It would be each shoulder and the stomach.Fuuma shuriken: A weapon of many talents
