Melissa followed in Katarras wake as she lead the way through he city, looking around at the local architecture. “Well if it’s legal cargo we could just stop by the harbor masters office and see if there’s shipments that are heading our way. We could buy what’s being exported off this rock that Kashyyyk would import.” She grinned. “Easy credits. Not the best paying mind you, but it’s legal.”

Katarra made an uncomfortable face. "[Kashyyyk doesn't import a whole lot these days.. they still export slaves though.]" She growled, clearly irritated. It had been over a hundred thirty years since she'd been taken from her home, and through what she'd heard things hadn't improved much...but then she hadn't risked returning. It was possible slavers were less scarce... but she wasn't exactly excited to find out...

Aurora followed Ritt as he led her to the main flight deck; she paused at the blast doors and looked around. Taking in all the noise and activity as crews busied themselves with various tasks, before she hurried to catch up with Ritt. He was walking over to the last two fighters in a hemicycle formation sitting on the deck. She caught up to him a he started talking about the two unpainted fighters. And why there were still unpainted.

“Understood.” She nodded her head and approached one of the sleek craft, her hand outstretched to touch its cold naked armored hull, her fingertips gently caressing its hull as she moved to look at the variable geometry swing-wing. Examining the mechanism and noting the location of the cylindrical laser cannon barrels protruding out if it’s orifice before running her hands down the length of the wing as she slowly walked around to the engine housing, her hand never leaving it’s bare skin as she moved.

She hand slid up to one of the engines access panels, her fingers undoing the latch and she opened it to peeked into it’s inner workings, she recognized a few of the parts but the majority of it was unrecognizable.
“One more thing to learn.” She thought to herself smiling. She closed and secured the panel and continued her walk around the fighter, her fingers running along the wings trailing edge, around the tip and back along the wing leading edge towards where the root of the wing integrated it’s self into the fuselage. She bent over at the waist, setting her hand onto her knees and looked at the four clamps of the 'touch-n-go' combat exchange system that Ritt was proud of. She straightened back up, placed her hands on her hip, elbows akimbo, and looked at Ritt from across the fighters’ hull.
“Can I have this one?” She asked smiling, but one thing was unclear. “So, with the wings swept back why can’t the laser cannons fire?”

“Sorry if thats a tetchy subject for you there.” Melissa apologized to Katarra; she could feel the torrent of emotions radiating out from the wookiee. She walked along in silence for a bit before continuing. “You seem to a bit agitated about Kashyyyk, do you still plan on heading there?” she asked, steeping up her pace so she could look up at Katarra. “A place that exports slaves creates an import. Mostly the types that the slave masters don’t particularly care fore.” She said with a serious look in her blue eyes.

"Sadly, the designers didn't think it wise to put the guns on the fuselage, instead upon the wingtips. They're fixed position, so when locked back in flight mode, they point not towards where you're aiming, but rather in different directions. Sad really, as I too wondered why I can't sprint and shoot at the same time. Fortunately, though, that's the factory model settings. With a little bit of work and a little bit of creative thought..." He said trailing off, and staring at his red fighter. "One can overcome that little problem."

He went quiet, as though some reminiscing thoughts continued to hang around in his head.

"Trust me," he said suddenly. "Until you learn to fly that thing with mostly factory settings, you shouldn't concern yourself with larger details such as that. Everyone starts somewhere, including the jedi. You didn't learn how to use a lightsaber effectively without a little practice and experience. Even the most talented people with flawless technique aren't masters. Some things take a little time, and doing, to truely understand."

Astounded by his own words, he went quiet again, to muse upon the impact of what he said. Damn you Stryder. Now I look like the old fart...

"You'll be placed as slot eleven. That's your number. Our squadron doesn't have a name, so we go by callsign more often. That will depend, however, on how the voting turns out...."

Karah Tos looked up from the polished skull that he was studying while seated on the throne to study the new presence in the room. Before responding the Dark Lord gave himself a few seconds to look her up and down.

"I am the Dark Lord Karah Tos, and now you had best be telling me who you are and why you are here," he stated, his booming voice filling the nearly empty hall.

Shisstal needed to start getting the assasins out of his way. When he blocked the next attack, he quickly kicked the assasin between the legs. That should have taken one assasin out. While he awaited the next attack, something was nagging at the back of his mind. Like a small voice warning him of danger. He quickly tunrned to his left and blocked another attack from one of the assasins. He didn't know how he did it, but now was not the time to be thinking about it. He kicked again and the assasin went down.

The kid could guess fairly well, but in spite of his meek attacks, he would be quickly overwhelmed by the armored assassins. In reality, if they hadn't been toying so much with him, he'd be dead, but this was only an apprentice classroom. No true assassins here, in Nakara's opinion.

As one of the cloaked ones came with a slash from behind, the assassin found his arm suddenly bound and lashed by a metal whip, its fangs digging through the armor and ripping his flesh of his wrist.

"Enough, young ones," Nakara announced, tugging on the whip and cutting the man's hand off. Not so much as a flicker of hesitation went into the snap, as Nakara's smile burgeoned. "Get back in your phalanx."

The assassins to be did as they were told, including the one dripping blood. "You better see the medic for that. You are dismissed." Decloaking, the assassin gave a bow, and ran off.

"You, boy, not bad for beginner's luck. Too bad only two of them were actually attacking you, otherwise such a show might have been interesting," he said with a laugh. "Now, tell me, you're supposed to be my apprentice? I teach nobody who can't make me laugh. Considering myself to be the king of clowns in the sith, consider that test the easiest one you'll ever have."

Katarra's eyes flashed with the growl that came from her throat. "[Yes.. I still would like to return.]" She admitted. "[I would like to see what has happened there since I left...]" Her lips pulled into a toothy grin as she glanced towards her companion, clearly pleased with her reasoning.

"[You're right...Such a place does create the oppertunity for... imports.]" Her hand clenched a bit. But how could they do it, sneaking weapons to possible slaves? And would her people rise to the ocassion, or be too afraid?

“Oh, well can they still fire with the wing folded back? Or is there some kind of safety cutting off the power to the weapon system when the wings are folded in.” Aurora mused as she looked at the blaster cannons once more, wondering exactly what ark of fire they would have at the odd angle.

“Yes sir, I understand, learn the basics first.” She replied with a smile. She continued to look over the ship, finally making her way to the cockpit. She popped open the canopy and looked inside, it was a little different from the simulator she had used, being that the fighter was a newer model but not overly so.

“Number eleven, understood.” She could deal with that, as she felt that the number had a balance all of it’s own, but then she looked up over across the fighters fuselage at him. “Voting, sir?” she asked, one eyebrow raised in question.

“And more than one kind of import too.” Melissa replied with a smile. “Food stuffs, medicines, tools. Just to name a few. May not pay very well, but I wouldn’t expect that to be at the top of your list. We could pick up a few different loads for different places along the way, mix thing up in the cargo bay.” She smiled wickedly. “I know that you don’t like the thought of fish stinking up the ship, but if you don’t like the smell odds are the customs inspector wont like the smell much ether.” She laughs.

But then she took on a more serious look. “Given any thought of how your going to return to your home would.” Melissa’s tone of voice lowered. “What kind of greeting can we expect when we get there?” she asked. “And if we run across any slavers I don’t think they’ll take too kindly to a wookiee showing up, complete with her own ship, now. We may have to fly in under the radar, so to speak.” She grinned.

"Names are things you are given, not chosen yourself. Naturally, the rest of the squadron gets to pick out your callsign. When I first joined, i got lucky that Acer passed out. Otherwise my first one would have been Susie, instead of Rookie," He said, reminisicing on the olden days.

Alright. That'll make us squared.

He stood up and replaced his helmet under his arm. He had a sorrful, yet stern look on his face. He breathed disappointedly and held out his arm in a handshake. Even if they were having a "falling out" he was still going to show the proper respect and brohterhood.

I'll have the explosives delivered to your ship in a few hours time. Until next time, ner vod.

Katarra growled uncomfortably. "[True...fish does hide other things but....]" Her nose wrinkled at the mere idea, it made her nausious. Still, Melissa had a very good point. Few people would brave inspecting stinky fish... They could smuggle anything, weapons even.

"[I don't know.]" The wookiee admitted. "[When I was taken from my homeworld as a slave, the slavers controlled the planet, selling us off one at a time, controlled our breeding, our freedoms, and kept us locked up in our cities. They controlled spaceflight, technology and goods. I haven't returend in over one hundred years, so I cannot say for sure what has changed, if my people are still opressed, or if they have become freed.]" She said growling low.

"[If we arrive and find significant ship presence, we can assume they are still slavers.... if it comes down to it...]" She made a face, disgusted by the idea, but admitted that it could be a good cover. "[You could pretend I am your slave...that you purchased me from a rich noble family.]" She said grumbling a bit. "[I have played the part for almost half of my natural life so far, I can do it well... ]"

Shisstal bowed to Nakara. "I was told that i would recive a master of high quality. They mentioned your name. You are Nakara, I presume? It is an honor to meet you in person. As for your making you laugh, I may have something." Shisstal said. This would be his one chance. "Would you like to hear it?" he said.
