But yes, you have to collect items in order to get your reward.
I've been at it for several hours and still haven't even gotten the first one.
I'm officially stopping because I don't have that kind of time to waste.

As far as I know it only changes what your eggs look like. More than likely you'll still only be able to find, at most, 20 each hour.

50 Eggs= 1st reward
200 Eggs = 2nd reward
500 Eggs = 3rd reward
It'll last awhile, and the rewards are different depending on the side you choose. The more you post in forums/get quoted/a whole bunch of other stuff, the more eggs you can find
I'm personally a bigger fan of the zOMG egg hunt. Its how I get a good amount of my yearly gold. It usually starts up a few days after the main event, but lasts longer.

I really don't want to imagine finding that many eggs. Getting 50 was bad enough for me. I don't have time to just sit around looking for fake eggs.

To be completely honest with you I was so distracted by Sindell I didn't know who she was killing until I watched the video you posted and was like "The only good Johnny Cage is a dead one."
