Yo, Kozo. You should put up some Mech-based thing on here. I played a demo for MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf and now I'm hooked. I wanna get both of those games.
Cool, but I have to warn you that the actual Battletech game is NOTHING like mechassault...although mechassault is rather fun. It's kinda like warhammer with less units in a big game but in a smaller game it's more lie chess....with rocket launchers!
xd Search for Classic Battletech on google and you should get the official site. Download the quickstart pack and give it a look over. If you're still interested I can see what I can do about getting an online quickstart demo going. After that we could move on to level 1 technology and maybe level 2. (the tech levels are designed so that the players can get used to the rules before moving on. They are VERY helpful and also serve as one more way to regulate the ability of players)
I've got the stuff to play at least up to Level 2 so things should be good. If I have a LOT more time I may be able to find the mechwarrior roleplaying expansion aswell. (battletech is more of a wargame then an RPG)
I have to warn you though. If you try it and like it...it'll haunt you forever! This s**t is addictive! If you find forum play too slow though, I can recomend a site that lets you play worldwide online...but my PC sucks too much to use it!
