Niphz Well, come online sometime, it's nice to have casual chatter once in a while, ne?
Mine are.. Emmanuel College, Cambridge LSE UCL Durham [no idea what college yet, might go for University just cause it has a castle XD] Exeter
I think. xD
@'elfy - TEN?! Crazy. @__@
@berry - Yes, but for us untalented people unfortunately we have to stick to school.. xP
@789 - Yeah that's what they say, but.. I have friends who do the 'newer' subjects and I can tell you apart from crit. thinking and gen. studies, they're not that easy.. having said that though I expect the 'hardcore' subjects are still more challenging. I guess your two prime choices are Emmanuel College and Cambridge, as they're the two most famous ones. And yeah we really have the option of having that many picks. Of course, usually most peopel just do multiples of the same university but just in different courses. I'm not sure how the college entry system works where you live but here, you don't just simply get entrance into the university but rather the course you want to do at that university.

Mini-kun, Emmanuel College is part of Cambridge. There are many colleges within Cambridge, different shapes and sizes, and you can choose which one suits you the most. Trinity College is another one... although that may be part of Oxford, which runs on a similar system to Cambridge.
I'll be going to school to fetch my GCSE results in five minutes. When I get back, it'll either be gloom and doom, or... happiness, I suppose. xd Wish me luck. Forgive me if I start going crazy. That's a few months of waiting for you going to my head... ninja

Trinity is also in Cambridge (along with St John's and King's, the three make up the large colleges on "the backs" which is the river bank bit ie the bit you see in films and stuff). I think there might be one in Oxford too but the 'famous' one is in Cam.. the more prestigious colleges in Oxford are Balliol, Magdalene, Queen's etc.
@'elfy - Well, yes, but actually I think I like Cam for more than the reputation. It's a beautiful place, to start with; also I like the Law course there very much and Emmanuel College because it's a good size (not too big, not too small), has a friendly reputation and the grounds are amazing. Also they do your laundry for you. xD
@B&B - Be sure to tell us what you got!

I'm using Ken's computer, so excited to tell you all! 4laugh My period is killing me right now, but I'm still on kind of a high, haha. I managed to notch myself 8 A*s (two from last year's Chinese and ICT) and 2 As (French and Art). So I managed to get A*s in my double science! *laughs* Mwahaha! Now screw science forever! The other A* subjects were Eng lang and lit, History and Maths.
*Rejoices* Me ish happy! 3nodding
I've heard Cambridge is beautiful... 3nodding When I feel better and if I'm allowed online after dinner, I'll catch you on msn, Niphy. wink

@B&B - Be sure to tell us what you got! I see, so Cambridge is split into multitudes of different colleges which are just like campuses in a way. That means you first have to select the university, then select the college you want to live in and then select your course. That's really more complex than the Australian university system. Though Melbourne Uni has colleges as well, only the international students and rural folk live in them. The rest of us either rent apartments nearby or have to commute to study. I guess living in a college means everything bar your school fees are paid for by the university. Whereas here all university students have to work at least 15 hours a week just to make up daily living costs(I work around 15-18 hours a week). B&B: Congrats on your fantastic CGSE results! I'm sure you'll have no problem coping with the AS levels. wink

At UofT you're not a number... you're a decimal! If you want the true undergraduate feeling of being neglected... you know where to go. cool

Arigatou. mrgreen I don't think it's still properly sunk it yet, lol. My parents are in shock. Mwahaha...
