Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'll work on making the body look a little more relaxed into that chair.

The kitties were actually all done with my own cats in mind - the short tailed one is supposed to look like my Violet - her tail is about six inches long, and she also has a stumpy foot. X3

If I have the time and patience, I think I will do a variety of patterns for each cat, so they can be mix and matched, but we'll see.

It's easier to see the changes without the cats all over it:

I think the pose is much more relaxed, but maybe it still doesn't look quite right? Is the chair too deep maybe? I'm rather fond of the chair, and it does look quite comfy, which is what I was going for, but maybe it doesn't work? Is the body still too stiff? Or maybe I'm being too critical? Halp?

I think what might be throwing off the view, making it look a bit too deep, is the lack of a left side to the back of the chair in our sight. (Left side chair, our right side while viewing.)

The back of the chair is behind the avatar, and it appears to be close enough to the avatar so that you'd see a bit more behind the other side of her net, but it abruptly stops, like it was eaten away by domokun domokun

Edit to better explain:

No shading cause I r teh edit nub.

I think it makes the chair look more "full," if you will. Like she's settled into it, instead of worrying that the back of it is razor sharp and having her body be stiff straight up. :Q

Edit: Now that I think about it some more, it could look more "full" because of a perspective issue. The back of the chair seems to reach towards it's vanishing point much quicker than the front of the chair. There's not much of a size difference in the front of the chair from arm to arm, but with the current way the back is made, it seems to completely disappear before the other side of the avatar. I like my solution to it, extending the back some more, but what do you think? :Q Joo are zee arteest.

I don't think it can be helped without redrawing the chair or the avatar. I'm sure it'll look fine with clothes and stuff on.

Make the cat with the fluffy tail black so it'll look like one of my cats biggrin

Miriam's Cat show-off list:

Krystal - Brown tabby cat with green eyes.
Lilith - Long-haired black cat with yellow eyes. Her full name is "Midnight Lilith" because dad couldn't be satisfied with just Lilith... -_-
Mica - Black & orange tortoiseshell kitten with yellow eyes. She's got this weird thing with her face where half of it is mostly black with black whiskers, and the other side is mostly orange with white whiskers. One of her siblings has the exact opposite coloring. Mom's trying to re-name her "Silky Mica" and I want to cry sad
"Old Yeller" - Orange tabby with green eyes. A stray my dad adopted. He was named "yellow cat" until recently, but both names are stupid. I'm thinking of re-naming "Tanuki" for reasons I won't disclose but might be guessable from his gender >_>.

Tanuki = Raccoon Dog = A powerup suit from Super Mario which turned you to stone so you could bypass those pesky spinies. >:3

Correct, but not the answer I'm looking for <_<

i am goggling at all the cat edit drafts <3.

my cat show-off list:

mitts- big, medium-haired, blue-and-white tuxedo. he has a plumed tail and huge, alert, cat-green eyes. he also has the sweetest kitty temperament, but he's awfully shy of strangers. he also has these big paws that have white mitts and socks on them.

grumbles- medium-haired, has a black coat with a white spot on her chest and another white spot on her belly. being a female, she's smaller than mitts, but is built on the same scale. she also has huge, alert, cat-green eyes in a pretty little face. my vet asks me if she and mitts are related because they look alike. they're not related. she has a temper.

*giggles over the Crazy Old Cat Lady-esque edit* I want a super-fat cat option. XD

Actually tanuki just means raccoon, straight up. No dog hybrids. :3

...with memories of noodle shop fronts floating in my mind, I suddenly thought, "is it because your cat has huge tom-cat bits?

*pets her mutt-tabby Padawan with one foot* We gave this poor thing a bath today because she was dandruffy again. She seems to have forgiven me.

That might be the solution I'm looking for, Unknown. I'll see if the structure of the chair works out with the modified back when I take the base off (I'm a horrible stickler for making sure everything fits, even if you can't see major parts of it.)

My kitties:

Kitty: Our first cat, solid grey female. She belonged to our neighbour and when the neighbour died she just came over to our house and never left. She was hit by a car many years ago. sad

Tiger: classic tabby. He was born under our neighbour's porch. We found homes for two of his littermates and his mother. He and his sister were left and when it started to get cold we brought them inside and they stayed. He was extremely shy of people at first but he's socialized into a wonderful cuddly cat.

Calico: Black, orange and cream tortie. Tiger's sister. She went missing.

Macray: Long haired grey with white paws and a white strip from her chin to her belly. She has curly fur on her tummy. She was a stray kitten that wandered into a friend's yard while we were there for a BBQ.

Rosette and Bart: Black with a white spot on the chest. Rosie snuck into our house and gave birth to Bart behind a book case - my dad found Bart when he went to plug in the fax machine. Rosie went missing a few years back - we still have Bart.

Lilian: Blue cream tortie. She belonged to the daughter of one of our neighbours. She some how ended up stuck in our apple tree and her owner decided that she didn't want her any more.

Rowan: White and black. He was a stray that was hanging around my mum's house. Since my mum couldn't take in another cat, I took him. I ended up having to euthanize him because he had some terminal disease whose name I cannot remember, and he ended up extremely sick.

Violet: Solid black. She's got a short little tail and one of her back paws has no toes - birth defects. I got her from the Humane Society. She's the sweetest, most well behaved cat I've ever met.
