Ceon limped back into the apartment, a small trail of blood fol;lowing right behind him. He went into the bathroom as fast as he could, and turned to his lycan form. Ceon reeached his claws around to his back and scratched madly at his wounds, at the same time tightening his muscles in order to push the pellets out.

Several pellets made a clang as they feel to the floor. Ceon was in his human form, weak, but regaining strength quickly as he pushed out the last pellet. Blood flooded the floor, and he was pretty pale. He walked into the living room, the blood on his jeans now dried.

Layna stared at the bloody trail that led through the hall of her apartment, and through the living room, dark red splotches dripped all through the room and into the bathroom. She ignored Ceon as she walked to Gabriel's room and set him in his bed, a large yawn passing from his son's mouth as he curled tiredly around his teddy bear. She smiled and brushed her fingers through his hair before she walked out, and softly shut his door. She leaned against the far wall of the living room and stared at Ceon, suppressing a growl. "Well..." She muttered, not sure what to say to him, her eyes narrowed.

"Well what?" asked Ceon as the bullet holes on his back began closing up. He stepped closer to her, a familiar and enticing aroma coming off from Layna. "I was just trying to warn you. I got attacked by a quarter of the New York police. I didn't want to hear about Gabriel getting lit up."

Layna scoffed, and away from the wall, and away from Ceon to sit upon the sofa. "I can be human, I learned to be human. They don't know the difference unless they can tell wolves from humans now." She snorted, and rubbed her cheeks roughly. "Unlike you, I can keep myself calm, and keep out of fights."

"Layna, I'm a male lycan. Males fight over everything. I fought with you for some venison while you were pregnant. And we can't keep hiding forever. Unless the humans start getting brains, we'll eventually have to fight them." Ceon stood where he was, and was more focused on her hips and a** than her eyes at the moment. "It must be hard......having a heart torn between three people...."

Layna pulled her legs up to her chest at feeling his gaze. His question startled her for a moment. "Yes....It is..." She murmured softly. She growled lowly. "But it's none of your business, now is it...?" She muttered disdainfully.

"It is my business if I'm one of the souls whose tugging at your heart." Ceon eyed her questioningly, "Since when do you mouth me off? What happened to you Layna? What happened to the sweet lycan woman that I fell in love with?"

Layna blinked at his questions, and felt a cold feeling rush over her for a moment before her eyes narrowed once more. "She's right here. I haven't changed...I've just become...myself. I need to be strong for myself." She said quietly, her voice a whisper. Growls rumbled in her chest at his questions. It wasn't his business. She was happy the way she was, wasn't she...?

Ceon walked over and sat next to Layna on the couch, but not touching her. An odd aroma was defnintely coming off of Layna. His eyes widened and he smiled slightly, "Strong for yourself? Or strong for Gabriel. You know, if you keep on raising Gabriel the way you are, Gabriel won't be able to kill a songle meal."

Layna blinked once more, and looked away from Ceon, shying away from him. "I'll let him choose what he wants to do....It's up to him." She muttered, staring at the floor. "If his father had been there when he was still a little one, it would have been better, now wouldn't it?" She said, laying on the blame. She still blamed him for all the hurt and pain.

"Layna......not this again. You think I planned on dying? I thought I could finally kill Daiguren. I thought I'd be getting rid of some pain by fighting him. I wanted to be there for Gabriel. And i was planning on something big when we got back from the park." Ceon's fongertips grazed Layna's soft hands.

Layna pulled her hand away quickly and held her knees tightly. "A year..." She muttered harshly. "You're an idiot. All you wanted was a fight. You got one you couldn't handle. You were gone! You were dead!" she snapped. She shivered, and reeled in her anger.

Ceon grabbed her arm tight and pulled her towards him. Her aromas were tempting to him, making it hard to talk while resisting the urge to tackle her. "I wasn't looking for a fight! I was thinking of going for a walk with you and Gabriel, then coming back here and......" Ceon paused there, biting his lower lip. He didn't know if he should tell her or not.

Layna let out a snarl and pulled at her arm. "Let go of me!" She snapped. Her hackles rose as she continued to pull backwards from him, cringing away from his body. "I remember...You said you wouldn't leave, and you did..anyway..."
