"Well...we are in a port Caden. The Chimera is not the only one that needs supplies I'm sure. There's two other ships here and probably even more on the sands as well." After all, pirating was by no means an exclusive sport. Anyone who wanted to indulge in the shady side of life had that option. A glance over at the other crew. "At least they're clean. Some of these guys...just aren't." She had no desire to get involved in what was going on between the two captains and would much rather they settle it themselves.

"An empty belly will often force a man to work much harder than he would with a full one. We are running low on provisions. The Captain chose not to stock up on anymore than what was requested of him by the lady elf in Ilindal." She folded her hands and gave a nod to Bell then turned her gaze towards the others. "The other ship is the one we must take care about. I know little about the ways of the pirates but I do know an aura of evil surrounds it."

"Thank you Ma'am, I will do so." He snapped his fingers at the most able men they had and barked out the orders given to him then frowned, "The Dagger is in the midst of a mutiny Ma'am. Bloodthirsty lot just killed off their latest captain, though none of us thought he'd last very long." Thobias watched as a body was tossed overboard and shook his head. "I had a rolling wager on the length of time for the boy. Appears I've won. Jarg! Pay up, me good man."

He watched the loser of the wager stalk off and decided to deal with him later. Turning back to his own captain he shook his head. "No idea but I'm sure if we ask around after Hawk's been in and out, we'll find out something. Would you like me to send a few into snoop as well?"

Hunter smirked at the cannon fire...noting the shape certainly wasn't a cannonball...before taking a step to the right, and ducking back to catch the bottle right before impact on his deck. a grin and looking at the note.

"Ah, how sweet. she does love me."

Waving over at her, before leaning over the side of the railing.

"Care to share this in my cabin, Jewel of the Sands? Or is this another flirtatious empty promise?"

a smirk shouted over to her, whistling to his crew to get what he needed to get...before a glance at the rest.

"Get off if you want. but you have an hour and a half. I have a woman to seduce."

A smirk and climbing up the rigging, and swinging right over to the Gale Claw, landing on the deck cutlass in one hand rum in the other.

"So...gone from losing good rum and money at cards and started firing it from cannons, have we? I thought you only fired non-valuables. like clothes."

She sidestepped a tad closer to Kaz, suddenly feeling a tad more uncomfortable what with the knowledge that there were perhaps those around that would challange her own kind and win...and rip out teeth, prombably among other things, using them for decoration. "I think it's the quiet ones that I'm more worried about. Are we leaving the ship?"

Savvy gave a superficial look in Caden's direction. "It's a port in the middle of wasteland, and probably few and far between other places. Shouldn't surprise anyone that more than one pirate crew shows up at once." Though a slight chuckle. "Clean I think is going to be the least of our worries in the coming days. Do you want to take shore leave Shyrae? You may find a spice or something."

She gave an exasperated noise at the news of mutiny. "Again? That's the most troublesome ship on the sandseas and bad luck to any captain that lay claim to her. They should just scuttle her." Then a blink. "Hey, there was a pool and I wasn't in it? Oh well...I'd rather stay out of the Dagger's business...and tell my men to stay out of it as well...I don't want a single thing from that ship on this one. Do you hear me?" Waitin g for his nod. "That's a good man." Shake of her head then. "No, stay off Chimera as well. I recognize that clothing and such a bit...Ilindal Guardians...last thing I need."

Closing the spyglass and handing it back off before an annoyed look to the ship docking too close for her liking to her own. "Your cabin? Why your cabin. You're not Captain of me, Hawk. I won't be under you, ever." Smirking at her own joke before crossing her arms. "Take your rum as the nicest hello you'll ever get from me...and you owe me money still." But a glare as he boarded her ship.

"Bad form Captain Hawk, boarding without permission. My crew is likely to cut you from navel to neck if you do things like that. Not to mention my decks were just swabbed and your nasty boots are all over them. "Like the good Mister Robins said, if it was bad rum by not surviving the journey it wouldn't of mattered anyway. And yes, I do fire non valuables, like you. Get off my deck before Mister Robins 'escorts' you. Maybe you can come board again when you learn how to treat a lady and her ship. Oh and Black Dagger is switching hands again."

Caden blinked a little and shook his head a bit. "The port." He grinned and chuckled a little. "Almost forgot about the port right after the cannon fire." He chuckled lightly and smiled. "Though yes it's true with this port all ships would come here to get thier supplies..." Though he looked up at Hunter as he made his way over to the ship and shook his head. "Well then as long as noting comes bad of it then there is no need to worry so it's just another moment to let go." Though he turned to Shyrae and he smiled. "You got a point there." He chuckled lightly and sighed, the crew they were living with was interesting at least that's for sure.

Though he thought about taking shore leave as well, never knew what he would find. "You mind if I tag along? It doesn't hurt to check out the place maybe I could find something interesting to buy." A small shrug to that as he looked around, who knows he may find something pirate-y to buy, or maybe he would get his own spyglass like a memento of this little journey.

"Good. that boy wasn't worthy to polish your mister robin's boots."

A smirk over at the Dagger.

"Only one captain ever wielded the Dagger effectively. And I hope he gets his hands on her again...that or his woman. she was a spitfire too."

Smirking at her first mate.

"He can try...but I'm here for a bit of parley. as you may notice, I got a bit of a..tag along group. I'm looking for information, and I'll exchange some in return you may find a bit interesting. not to mention more than a bit dangerous for all our ilk. and I promise I'll make up for the boarding without a woman's permission."

A slight smirk at her.

"though, as to your earlier comment...I recall before you got the Claw, you were under me..in one manner of speaking."

peeling the cork off the rum bottle and taking a drink.

"This is true. But those of our team are not here to work though they should not contribute negatively either. If anything does not suit their fancy however, of course they can always buy it themselves once we stop at a port such as now." He turned his eyes back on the ship with the dragon teeth, surveying the pirates that seemed to run rampant on its decks.

Eilynne was right, there was something about that ship that would make one uneasy. The Gale Claw, on the other hand, seemed to be only preoccupied with the captain himself. Turning to gaze at Jae as she visibly moved closer, he settled a hand on her shoulder. "We can fly and investigate the atoll if you want."

Somewhere within the bowels of the ship, a melon-sized ball that was previously almost indiscernible in the dark buzzed to life, vibrating slightly as the pale blue glow of the rune in its center flared with magical energy. The Seon hovered in place for a few moments and then swiftly made its way upwards, into the open air and searching for its owner, finally making him out by the side of the ship. "I've never liked pirates, Kaz." Its voice was smooth and its words well enunciated.

Shyrae lit up at that and nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely. I'd love to see what they have in this place. It seems exotic enough to have such things." Thus looping an arm through Savvy's again she glanced at teh dragon-kin, including Caden in the sweep. "If you'd like to come with us, you are more than welcome. The more you have, the less protection you require."

"You two go. I prefer to remain on deck." Turning her gaze to the Dagger for a moment, she shook her head. It was horrible, truly horrible that such men would fight among themselves. A glance up as their own Captain took off. "I have work to do." Though she did give a nod to the ball of energy and then strolled away.

"If a real captain were to try, she might once again be as might as she was when Scalem was still alive. Bloodthirsty, aye, but a certain dignity about it." His gaze moved to Hawk who apparently thought her little greeting was an invitation in and of itself. Would he never learn? Thobias gave a smirk as his lady shot down Hawk for the umpteenth time and crossed his arms, quirking a raven eyebrow. "I'd be pleased to escort Captain Deacon back to his own ship, milady." Pulling out a cocked pistol and aiming it at his forehead. "He comes armed as well, that can easily be interpreted as a threat and that means all bets are off." Giving a rather sly smile, "Does it matter the shape in which he returns?"

Gem was slightly uneasy with the Dagger being a mess in port...if they came near her ship at all, she was going to have a fit. When she threw a fit..well it wasn't good. "Could say the same for you. My dear Mister Robins wears some expensive boots." A smirk as Thobias stepped up to orders in normal fashion that did amuse her so. "Parley before you board Hawk. And yes, we noticed your...additions." Interesting how he thought he had information she may want. "Perhaps, Hunt, but I was drunk." Giving him a little shooing motion.

"Off first, then try again. Besides, I'm heading to shore and I don't want you on my ship without me on it."" Another girlish chuckle to her first mate. "Don't hurt him badly now, remember he owes me money. Then secure my ship with those needed and give shore to the others, get my supplies." Thus turning and grabbing a rope, sliding down to the dock off the Gale Claw.

A look back to Kaz as he attempted to make her feel a bit more at ease. "I would at least like to get a look at how things are around here. I just don't want to get shot down my ambitious would be dragon slayers." But a blink and a look to the familiar seon. "It's awake once more. And you don't like a lot." She knew the thing...well kinda. Looking back to the Laerethe whom was giving permission and then a look back to Kaz. "Stay close?"

"Good to see you have a sense of adventure." Waiting for the gangplank before they made thier way off, and of course with everyone whom came in tow of them. Crew or otherwise. The place stunk of rum and smoke, and various other things. At least the only water was the oasis itself, and there wasn't a fishy icky sea smell. That bothered something aweful. "Remember, watch our backs and our fronts."

"Drunk or not, the position was still there. and I don't recall you being quiet about the good time you were having."

then a look at her first mate while she slid down the rope.

"Now you know if you shoot that, and I gut you for it, since you can't kill me yet since I owe her money, we'll just get her deck messy. So...I'll be following the minx."

and right after her, slapping her a** with the flat of his cutlass.

"Does the term, Laerethe, mean anything to you? and how would you like to be offered some real power over the sands."

in that sweetly seductive 'I know something really valuable' tone that pirates used when they knew they had an upperhand with one of their own..or thought they did.

A look of surprise as he turned his head to see the Seon hovering near his shoulder. "They can't harm you in any way, Xeke. And if you don't like being stared at you can stay in my coin purse again." He knew how it enjoyed that, but a glowing bag would attract certain attention too. Turning though, he nodded to Shyrae and then to Jae. "There is power in numbers, but you are right. It would be better to stay low profile until we know the place better." Thus following the rest of them as they walked off the ship and into the town of sorts. It was never too early to be drunk for pirates...

"Hello Bell. You look nice, despite the atrocious living conditions." Pulsating, it followed Kaz off the ship. Being stared at was the least of its worries at this moment, being captured was topping the list. "I rest in there, not hide."

Well now at least he was able to come along, he was itching to check out the place and Shyrae had a point of it being better if there were more people to go together. "Alright then let's go." So with a small smile he followed the elves to the plank that was lowered and then on they were to the port, though he did make a face to the smell of the smoke, Caden didn't like to smoke and the smell sometimes bothered him but he would put up with it. "You're right, keep all eyes and ears opened." He muttered lightly as his eyes began to scan the area, was there anything interesting for him to grab? Well he hoped so though they only had so much time to find what they wanted. "Is there anything you're looking for Savryn?"
PostPosted: Wed May 30, 2007 9:36 pm

Shyrae chuckled, "Sure, come on." Thus taking off after Savvy though she did wrinkle her nose at the smell. "Not sure if we'll actually find something here or not though. It's not exactly a gourmet spot you know..." But she searched through the shops anyway, Savvy at her side. "Do you need anything Caden?"

"That money can just as easily be taken off your dead body, Hawk. Don't toy with me." He watched him swing down the rope and then grimaced at his blatant attention to her female anatomy. "No one touches my captain." Lifting the gun and taking aim, he shot Hawk right in the spot he'd slapped Gem. And Mister Thobias Robins never missed. Then her turned and began directing the crew of the ship both in docking and on those going ashore. "Be quick boys, the Captain won't have an inkling to stay very long with certain birds crawling about."

the atoll, though they'd call it port gulthang, after the dragon-kin that originally started it, was awake alright. sales and shady dealings and shouting and drinking and gunfire and barfights. not to mention women selling other services at nearly everyplace that could show a woman prominantly. sounds of yelling and smashing bottles, clanging mugs and such as well..about all they woudl need is a few buildings on fire and it'd look and sound like a pirate raid more than a pirate infested port.
PostPosted: Wed May 30, 2007 9:51 pm

"You're just another notch on my bedpost. I'm not one on our belt. Even if it was an enjoyable time at that moment." Though a quick spin and he got slapped with her hat as well as a punch across the jaw. "Do not hit me, I'm not another one of your bought and paid for whores, Deacon." Though a smile at the notice of her first mate's aim and the pistol fire. Well, Hunter would be sitting with difficulty for a bit now. This is why Thobias was first mate on her ship and no one else.

But onward with her. "Ancient little things that abandoned this land, I've read about them. And I don't have need for your ship, the Black Dagger, or any other. Power is all about how you use it not what gives it to you." She wasn't going to fall for that tone either. Took a lot of rum to get her drunk too. "What are you going on about?"

"Walking then...I'm clinging." And thus duely latching to Kaznec's arm, walking next to him. Did not like this place too much at all. The place was interesting, for lack of a better word. Though a slight look to Xeke. "A woman strives to look good...and I slept in the crow's nest. Quite clean up there." Letting her eyes wander some, though still staying kind of tucked to Kaznec. After all, did you know the price for natural white scale dragon boots? A lot."

She took the moment to activate her gaze melding, target being the falcon on her shoulder. Hm, spit of a place, crawling with what looked like nomands, caravans, pirates, merchants, a good mix of probably less than trustworthy nature. "Not looking for anything. If I see something that catches my fancy well then that's another story." A nod. "You know Shyrae, sometimes the best things come from unlikely places."

Yes, downright shady this place was. He was beginning to regret stepping foot on land, even the darkest street in Ilindal did not compare to this. He did keep her close though, navigating best he could past the drunkards and the less than delightful women on the streets. "I can see why you should be nervous." Guiding her away from a shop that held all sorts of dragon antique items such as hide and bone, his frown deepening. A glance to the ball of light by his shoulder though. "What do you know about pirate ports, Xeke?"

"I've said it many times in the past, Bell. And you know how I dislike repeating myself." He took this time to examine the two elves and the human that were their traveling companions. The latter was one of the Guards, he knew that. The other two seemed interesting. Judging by their technology and the magical creatures they had at their disposal, they weren't from this plane. "My advice to you is, don't let your eyes linger on anyone or anything for more than thirty seconds."
