Chloe had followed along behind Sasha and Nona for a bit, before moving to explore the mansion a little as she waited for Kaya to wake back up. Getting lost in the maze of hallways was easy, especially for Chloe, as she finally called out Entreri for a bit of assistance. The Sneasel wasn't all that helpful. He was still more than a bit miffed at Atlas' actions, and was not pleased at all that Chloe had recalled him before he got his revenge. He retaliated by deep freezing Chloe's boots to the floor, which took a good hour or so to free from the carpet.
With an indignant "Snea..." Entreri and Chloe set out to meet back up with the others not finding much of interest in the large house.

Brayden had dozed off sometime during the evening, tossing his coat over himself for the sake of warmth as he leaned against the wall. However, the sound of voices from the room behind him was enough to cause him to stirr. Blinking sleepily, Brayden was unable to catch the exchange, still caught halfway between sleep and awareness. However, it had a least alerted him to the fact that Kaya, and apparently Danny too, were both awake.
Rising from his vigil, Brayden stretched, wincing as a few sore muscles complained at his choice in a napping spot. Shouldering his bag, he stood, turning to face the door to the room as he rapped gently on the wood.
"Kaya?" he inquried, before cracking open the door, "You alright in here? You gave us all a scare collapsing in the- huh? What's wrong?" he asked, spotting the tears. "Did something happen?" he inquired without thinking. Well, of course something happened... The question was, of course, what.
Setting down his bag in a random corner, Brayden entered the room, crossing it in a fluid motion to end up sitting cross-legged on the bed beside the prince. He hesitated for a brief moment before resting his head on Kaya's shoulder reassuringly.
"You alright?"

Brayden's eyes widened as he looked to Danny, "I... I'm sorry to hear that," he murmured, shaking his head slightly as he heard Kaya's discovery. He had to admit he was more than curious as to the story behind Danny, but figured now wasn't quite the best time to ask, with Danny's mother's death still fresh news.
Brayden was caught with indecision for a bit. For one, Brayden didn't really feel any confidence in comforting people. He was at a loss as for what to say that might make Kaya feel any better. Death was a heavy shadow indeed. For the time, Brayden hoped his presence alone would be eough for now.
"I can't suggest what to do, but know you have my support in whichever way you choose," Brayden offered. "I'm sure I could help watch Danny if you choose to let him stay with us, and I'm sure the others would be just as willing to help out. I know Nona seemed quite attatched to the kid," Brayden smiled, "I can't speak for them, but I suspect they'd be quite apt to assist you too."
"On the other hand, we'd also be willing to go along with you if you plan on taking him back to your homeland," he assured the prince after a pause.
"But if you honestly want my opinion, I say this kid's already come quite a ways in search of his dad, I think he'd like to stay. But then again," Brayden smiled, "I can't really speak for Danny either."

Nona nodded, happily. "I could always look after your little squirt for you!" Nona said lovingly, running her fingers once again through the young boy's hair. "We could always use another member on our team. All we have to do is get him a pokemon to train...unless he already has one, of course, and..."
Then a thought struck her. "You know, we could always train him to be a trainer while we save the world. After all, with Kaya as his father, there is no way he skipped the pokemon-training gene."
Another thought struck her. She stuck her "paw" in her mouth, her knuckles almost all the way healed by now. "You know, there is a gym here...he might be able to help. Plus, I could always use another gym badge..." A smile crept over her face.
One final thought struck her. "Hey! I know! If little Danny needs his first pokemon...I think I got the one for him." Bio looked a little fearful. "My brother, in Petalburg, buys the eggs from the day-care center that no one wants, and hatches them himself. Then he gives them to starting trainers passing through." Nona smiled widely, as she continued, "I believe he has an elekid now that he's working on a bit...There's always that option."
Bio sighed with releif. Nona wasn't giving him away! He hugged her close, as though not wanting to leave her.

Chloe recalled Entreri to prevent trouble, catching up to the group in time to catch the last bit of conversation going on.
"Yeah, even if he doesn't, if all else fails we can go explore the cave here on Dewford a bit. That's where Sasha caught her Aron, right?" she smiled.
"And I vote let the kid stay if he wants too. The more the merrier, right?" she smiled, "And he seems to have taken a liking to Kaya, so I say he's a welcome addition," Chloe laughed.
She couldn't help but grin at Danny's question to Brayden.
"I'm sure we all wouldn't mind a bit of training before trying to track down Lance, and helping a new trainer start out with Danny here would be much more interesting than just training on our own."

"So you need a Heart Compass to get home?" Brayden asked, curious. Having never been to Kaya's homeland himself, he was a tad curious as to the route one would take to get there.
Brayden's eyes widened slightly at the question Danny asked of him, flushing slightly.
"Other Daddy?" he asked, looking to Kaya, "Well... I suppose so, adoptive anyway," he smiled faintly down at Danny.
"And it would be our pleasure to teach you everything you know to be a trainer, I'm sure," he laughed.

Nona shook her head. "Sadly, no. Dave only does one egg at a time, and right now he's working with the Elekid. I don't even think he owns a steel pokemon.
Nona had to smile at the "Daddy/Other Daddy comment." It reminded her of her two moms. Giggling, she pipped in, "You know, Danny, you could always call them both Daddy and have them get confused, right?" She used to do that just to bug her moms...Oh, the memories.
"Well...where should we start with the Training-of-Daniel-in-the-Art-of-Training? How to catch a pokemon, or how to battle?" Nona smiled a little at the last part, licking her knuckle. "You know, I could help with that second part, the battling one...I still need this town's Gym badge."
She was excited. She could teach her "little nephew" (since Kaya and her felt like siblings) how to battle and train...with the help of the others, of course.

Chloe couldn't resist a smile at the "Daddy Brayden" title her friend had been dubbed with. She was quite sure Brayden and Kaya would make good "parents" of sorts, and with the girls to help out, how much trouble could one kid be?
A recollection of Atlas and Entreri shot through her mind, but she waved it off as she focused back on the conversation at hand.
"I'm fine with either way," Chloe agreed with a nod to the suggestion on getting Danny aqquainted with being a trainer.
"Later on I might split off for a bit, I had planned on going to Sinnoh for some exploring in Snowpoint." She hoped hanging out in an icier habitat might make Entreri a tad less iritable, "But I'll stick around for bit before that. I think both the catching and battling could be done here on Dewford," she smiled.
"A gym battle sounds like a good idea, that'll give Danny an idea on how battling works. Either before or after we can see about catching a steel type, or we can head elsewhere to do that."
"I"m Chloe, by the way," she introduced herself to Danny with a grin. "Nice to meetcha."

Nona stopped for a moment to understand what Kaya had said. "...You mean we ALL get to go to Harmony Island?" Nona's eyes went wide with excitement. She loved travelling to new places, and this was part of it.
Plus, Kaya's people seemed really, really cool. They could talk to pokemon!
"Sweetness..." She said, starting to suck on her knuckles again. " 'O, 'hou'd 'ee 'tar'h u'i'ff 'au'dd'n oh'r 'atch'n 'irst'h?" (Translation: So, should we start weith battling or catching first?)
