Kazuma walked in slowly after Miu. The whole way he had his hand at his chin, deeply contemplating his fate from here on out. He finally pulled his sword out, along with the sheath and set it down, sitting down on the cushions. He was very silent for a long time, but then spoke. "You know..That man may be right. Now that the war is over..no more Fathers, Brothers, and Sons will die..Maybe people can finally lead a peaceful life.." He glanced down at his sword. The blade itself was very bland, though the sheath had a string of flowers running down it. A warrior had no real need of ornamentation, but Kazuma liked it. He thought it had character.

But now it might not be used ever again..How many people had he killed? How many people that was a Mother's Son, a small boy's brother..his own Master had died by his blade. He was the 'Master' of iaijutsu himself, now. Yet he taught no one, so he was no real master. He spoke, but to no one in particular, mostly to himself, and he didn't make it clear of what he was talking about. "Would things have been easier if I had never embarked upon this journey..?"

((Her name is Nobara))

Masamune watched Yumi and nodded slowly. "Now, go get one of the casks, and begin pouring and forming the liquid steel. We're going to begin the forming process. Now it is pure, and you have to make it how you want. This will be tedious, and long. Be ready."

Mouki's eyes opened suddenly, despite the blindfold, and everything, he still opened his eyes out of habit. He stood and began to leave. The monks sighed in relief and Mouki walked down. His steps silent, and other senses on peak. He moved out of people's ways, and searched till he felt that presence. That man who knew iaijutsu so well. Kazuma...

At first Miu didn't say anything, she just sat there, following the lines of a golden dragon on her kimono with her finger.

"No it would not have been easier. You had a very good reason to leave that island and it is useless to even think about if it was a good decision or not. You should concentrate on the future, not on the past. The war didn't end the way you wanted it to end, now get over it and move on." Her words were surprisingly harsh and she realized that herself and quickly looked down at her hands resting in her lap.

"Ay ay... always ready... One of these you said?" She started pouring the steel into the form. I wonder what kind of ugly lump I'll be able to create. Yumi still wasn't convinced this was something that could be useful to her and she even found this whole weird blacksmith thingy boring, but the information Masamune had give her had been worth working for. Yumi now really felt an urge to get back to the mainland, since she very much wanted to see these fantastic swordsmen in action.

Kazuma sat there for a moment, thinking about what Miu had said. "So harsh, but you're correct I suppose. It's one of those things you think about when you start to get old. 'Did I live my life right? Would it have been better if i'd walked this path instead?' Old men sit on porches wondering things like this. When I left the island..I..suppose I was trying to run from my past. Or maybe it's..fate." He removed his hand from his chin, folding his arms across his chest. He felt the presence of someone..not near him, but..familiar, close. Still he couldn't quite make it out. Who was it..?

Masamune watched her and nodded slowly. "Yep, just like that. Now, you're going to pick up that large hammer over there, and the piece of steel you have now, and begin to hammer how you like. Remember though, if you don't heat it up until it's red you'll only be losing progress. You've got a very wide piece of metal at the moment, you're going to be folding it many, many times. And make sure you make each fold tight, and airless, or you'll make a faulty weapon and start over again."

Mouki stood at the door his nonexistant eyes watching for a long time. Then, he spoke, a voice Kazuma would recognize instantly. "Kazuma...it's been a long time. The war is futile as it has turned out. But, I feel a soul that is strong, one that will be able to handle us all...I think Chochmah could tell us more...but come with me. We should find that man quickly, or else we'll fall into nothingness like the Shinsengumi are..." Mouki stood at the doorway, blind as a bat, but he knew exactly how the people in the room were sitting, the flames flickerings, and even how it moved. Blind? Maybe, but he could do things no one else could...

Kazuma did not move. It would have been futile anyway. Mouki could always tell where he was..where anything was..that was his specialty. Most warriors would not, could not fight in the dark. But Mouki..he could fight..blind. "Fall into nothingness? Well, the Shinsengumi may have lost, but I feel our spirit will carry on. Besides, I would not know about you, have your skills fallen into disuse? I myself am as quick as ever I was, my..commrade." He stood up at this time, picking up his katana and securing it in his belt. "Follow someone? At the moment, there is no one I would follow. But that man with the killing aura..the man who strikes fear into you with but a glance..his path is a way of death and destruction for his own gains. I would follow no such man." Kazuma stood but a few feet from the door. The situation could become explosive in mere moments..

Mouki listens to the man. "Then you forget who you are. We're no one, and nothing more than rejects. You've met him I see...his way may be the way of death and destruction, but if I can defeat him, then I'll be the best. What about you Kazuma? You've lost what you were fighting for. Those you were with will turn against you, but you know we the ten, will always fight, will you be with us all? Or try to defy us? You'll lose if you do Kazuma...you know that. Your anger was always the worst, but that won't help against the nine of us...join us Kazuma, or wait for your death in lue of your defecting away to this useless life that will lead nowhere..." Mouki was intelligent, and some say he may one day rival Chochmah in his perceptions, but that didn't matter, Mouki didn't concern himself there, simply in his lack of sight...

Kazuma rested his hand on the handle of his katana, the sheath shifting slightly in reaction to the weight. It hadn't been his drawing hand. He didn't want to show aggresion. "A Reject..maybe, but i've found happiness in my life, Mouki. Perhaps you should worry less about defeating every person you come across, and worry more about becoming happy in life."

"You won't defeat that man. Do you think all nine others will ally themselves? I don't know. Much time has passed since we have left that island. I wonder..if you seek to challenge him..could you even defeat me?"

Mouki slowly shakes his head in response to Kazuma's words. "Can I beat you? Of course I can. Your slices can't kill me, and even if they miraculously land on me, I'll be attacking you right back. You over estimate this, 'happiness' and underestimate the restlessness in all of our souls. This man...he'll make Japan what it should be. Not of guns or anything else, but of how it once was. Even you should be able to appreciate that. Oh, and Kazuma...if I were to attack you right now, you would be missing a head."

In that instant Kazuma could see Mouki's attack slicing through with speed to his neck, and then it was all not there. Mouki was walking away from the door down the steps. His silence nearly prevailing, except that he didn't care if Kazuma heard him at the moment...

Miu sat frozen to her spot, during the whole conversation she stayed silent, since she knew she probably shouldn't be sticking her nose into their business. Also, she feared this man, she sensed he was unbeleivably dangerous, so dangerous that even Kazuma would be in trouble.

Quickly Yumi heated up the steel and while she did so she picked up the hammer. Hesitating slightly she then started working with the steel.

Hungry... Nobara had wandered out of the centre of the town and was now looking for some decent looking inn or just somewhere to get some food. Around 10 minutes she walked around, then got tired of searching and just barged into a house she smelled someone was cooking dinner in.

"Ciao!" She waved her hand and at the same time 10 needles flew out of her sleeve and pierced the peacefully dining couple. The woman and the man gasped for breathe a while then sank down to the floor with a gurgling sound, they had both choked in their own blood. Nobara kicked the woman so that her blood wouldn't drop down on the food then calmly sat down to eat. It had all happened swiftly and soundlessly, the only abnormal thing seemed to be the pair with widely opened eyes and the growing pool of blood beneath them. Outside you could hear a few birds chirping happily. Nobara continued chewing on the bread, moved her foot slightly so that she wouldn't get bloodstains on her socks and took a sip of the teacup.

Kazuma stepped away from the door. There was little else he could say to Mouki. "That man..such a shame." He walked back over to the cushions and set himself down. This time he did not remove his sword, indicating somewhat that he expected trouble, or at least was prepared for it. "Men like us will never find rest, no matter how much we change..we are bound by strings of fate to destroy and kill. Sometimes I wish I had settled for a simpler life.."

"Even in simplicity there will be found death and destruction. The ten will continue to kill till they are tamed..." Sakura sat sipping tea near Miu. He smiled and offered it to her. "Tea?" This man, somehow evaded even Mouki's sense, as he didn't seem to note the other person, though he had referred to a person, most likely Miu.

Chochmah was walking towards that small little town where Kazuma and Miu were, as well as where Mouki had gone. Chochmah had always been one of the most difficult battlers among the ten, but wasn't invincible as he seemed. Only in normal to expert fights. The master fights and beyond were a little more challenging, though not by much. He now headed toward Kazuma.

Hakkyou began walking away from Edo now, he wanted to find another place, somewhere nice and comfortable to rest for a while. Maybe find someone to kill...

Kazuma's eyes quite visibly twitched as he heard the voice sound from beside his partner. The loud click of his hand rushing to his sheath sounded in the room, his thumb flicking the handguard away from the sheath, his drawing hand catching the handle, which was wrapped in cloth for a better grip. A loud shnnkk sound followed as the blade slid from the sheath, only to be whipped around and swung toward the voice heard earlier. He had no time for identification of the person, only time to swing his blade. Men who were hunted were not given the luxury of deciding who was friend or foe.

Sakura had moved with Kazuma's first movement. He was up in Kazuma's face, and using Kazuma's momentum, twisted the blade out and away from his hand and had him down on the floor within that same count, by a simply twist of his wrist. Sakura's grey eyes looked deep into Kazumas'. "I don't kill people like you do Kazuma, but I don't take it lightly when people make attempts on my life." Sakura drove the blade into the wood inches away from Kazuma's head, rose and walked back over to his tea. He smiled at Miu. "I apoligize for his actions, did you want that tea?"

"Tea?" Then Miu blinked and suddenly Kazuma was on the floor and Sakura asking her again if she wanted tea. She blinked a few more times then smiled.

"Yes... tea sounds good to me."
