If I had access, I'd link you to an interview with former WWE talent scout/agent/performer Tom Pritcherd, that covers exactly what you're talking about. You would find it of interest, because as a former drug addict the WWE sent to rehab, he has an interesting perspective on the lifestyle of abuse many of the last generation of pro wrestlers fell victim to.

I'm sure I would, I'll probably hunt around for it. One of the big things for me was the death of Owen Hart. I don't know how much you know about the Hart family but they're based here in Calgary which is my hometown.

Wally and I are both very familiar with the Hart family and their exploits. Owen's death hit us all very hard.

I am very knowledgeable about the Hart Family. I recommend that you find Martha Hart (Owen's widow)'s book and read it. I've read a review, and the things that are revealed in it are...crushingly horrifying.
I could never read the book itself because of how much what happened to him affected me...I was literally watching that night with a Blue Blazer action figure in my hands when he fell.

I could never read the book itself because of how much what happened to him affected me...I was literally watching that night with a Blue Blazer action figure in my hands when he fell.
