Gendis scratched his head. "Well, we'll see how you measure up. Good luck with the tests." He smiled slightly and hung back, watching the small group forming around Azure.

Zendia regarded Azure intently. "I understand your motivations. I don't know if you heard, but my home planet Alderaan was destroyed by the Empire," she told her, somehow managing to keep her tone even and neutral, despite her own feelings. In response, Rusty gave a mournful hoot.

"By the way, you didn't see anyone else hoping to try out, did you?"

Zendia shook her head. "I haven't seen anyone else, save for Azure here. You'd think more people would wish to try out, yes?"

"Who would willingly want to risk their neck in a war with 10:1 odds?" Kefka laughed before putting on his helmet.
"Grab a fighter Azure," he instructed.

"Someone with a reason, Kefka. Someone with a reason," Zendia pensively offered. "By the way, what channels would I have to go through to requisition a new bird?"

"I'm so sorry." she said to Zendia. "Come on Saph, let's grab that Y-wing there." she said as she pointed at an empty Y-wing that she hadn't seen any of the others vacate.

"Okay, we'll try flying first. Wing up on me and Stardust and follow my lead," Kefka said as he pulled out from the hangar and raised the throttle.

"I'll take this one," Zendia said, climbing into her newly requisitioned Y-wing, as Rusty was lowered into the droid socket. With Kefka's orders, she then set to follow his lead.

Orrin was bored. Kekfa would do whatever he wished to test the pilot. It probably would be easier (and much to the dis-satisfaction of Orrin) probaby not test the limits of the pilot, but he needed shut-eye. He would have to figure out some way to get the squad some X-wings...

Gendis found a vacant room and occupied it. it was stark, but comforting somehow. he turned his comlink on full volume and settled down for a nice doze.

"Alright." she said as she pulled the helmet on over her leku. She then closed the hatch and geared up the engines. "Ok Saph, let's show them what we got." she told her droid as she used the repulser jets to lift off and exited the hanger to follow Kefka.

As the trio rocketed out of the hangar, they seemed to be going straight for the most part: before Kefka turned hard and barrelrolled under the ship.
"Take off 95% of shield power and send it to engines, Icy" Kefka instructed.
"Can you keep up Azure?"

Show-off ... Zendia thought to herself, even as she mimicked Kefka's maneuver. "Yes, too close, dear," she replied, as Rusty gave off his own startled shriek.
