I go to Belmont, it's in Langford xp oh and I'm in grade 12. *blinks, no idea where that is* sweatdrop i live in victoria during the summers and spring break 3nodding AAAND i have an old friend who's probly forgot about me who goes to Belmont! i havent actually talked to her since grade 7 ( like, 4 years ago blaugh ) but my friend told me she moved out to langley.... her names Ally (or Alli? or Allie? omg...) well its pronounced like that..... shes in grade 11 xp

Ugh, I hate Vancouver. Filthy place covered in graffiti and homeless people on every 2nd streetcorner. I'm moving as soon as I finish school. xp I like B.C though, I'm just moving somewhere nicer in B.C.
EDIT: Certain areas of Vancouver are nice enough, but they won't be much longer as the city continues to grow. sad

forever_love28 BC rules. i want to live in vancouver when i'm older. i'm from England My family is in England, I was born and raised here. When I visited them earlier this year, London reminded me of Vancouver, only NICER. Portsmouth is a nice place though. If you like cities, help yourself to Vancouver, or even Richmond, the mini Vancouver who's only just starting to get it's own high-rise canned-people housing. Though, certain parts of Vancouver are pretty, I just can't help but see it as only a matter of time before they too replace the oxygen in the air with fumes. neutral

I think BC, and Vancouver in particular, has always been set onto a pedestal. It's an idealized (as well as idolized) place of nothing but inflation especially in terms of tuition, gas, hydro, rent and food.
Be real, check out the classifieds for apartments and the cheapest seem to be 600+ in the east... easily 1200+ for downtown. I will never understand how people can go through with that...I will die paying my rent crying
I guess England's living expense is even MORE expensive.

EDIT: Certain areas of Vancouver are nice enough, but they won't be much longer as the city continues to grow. sad Wow, it seems like you've been mostly exposed to the crappy side of Vancouver. xp There are still lots of nice places to live in this city, and lots of beautiful places.....I've lived near the suburbs all my life so I don't exactly share your view of Vancouver (but don't get me wrong, I don't think Vancouver is the perfect city. I've been in the infamous downtown eastside before, cuz my grandmother lives around there). Yes, Vancouver is expanding but it will be a very long time from now til the city becomes overpopulated.
