Alec didn't exactly like the idea of stealing..but this boy was crafty he had to give it too Preacher. He'd been craft enough to grab it, he wouldn't begrudge him. "A..alright thanks!" he reached for the pie not closet to Shun quietly muching at it, breaking off some to feed his 4 legged companion. At least he'd offered to pay for the majority of it.
"yeah..but I might have gotten kicked in the river, or who knows what." He insisted to the other. "So, its the least I can do." he concluded quietly finishing what he'd been given at least feeling less like he'd gnaw his arm off. Dinner was some time away, this would do just fine. Alec didn't know Shun's situation, but judging from his demeanor and while reluctantly had caved at the offer on this particular matter.
"Thanks." He said to Preacher, a bit gently meaning it. "I have a name you know." Alec laughed some, arching a brow at the pressed nickname. Who did you call a Preacher anyway in nickname? A Peach? A Creeper? He wasn't sure, they had just met.

Preacher's wink made Lloren's eyes fly wide, suddenly aware she'd been seen. She had to go to that special, peaceful place in her mind for a few seconds to avoid blushing. Back to reality, she unfroze the expression on her face. Dammit muscles! "Uh." Is all she managed to say, looking down in shame.
When Zin expressed her concerns, Lloren was happy to forget her problem with really appreciating a certain androgyne's muscles and smiled softly at the sitting girl, empathy in action. "That's how I feel too! Don't worry, I'm sure it will be great this time. That unverified barge was the only thing that could go wrong. It's not like a titan will suddenly somersault over the wall and land on one of our horses!" She laughed at her own joke, and then gave Alec a nod at his statement. "That would be great, thank you again. And food sounds incredible. Would you mind if I joined you?" Her face was suddenly serious at that last statement. Food called to her.
The way Preacher produced pies from seemingly nowhere and gave them out despite definitely not being one to have the means to do so could only mean one thing. Well, it could mean more than one thing, but Lloren was willing to bet it wasn't the right one. She looked at them with a mix of hunger and dread. "Where... did you- uh." She looked at the other hungry faces around the table. Okay, maybe she should talk to Preacher about that later. "Nevermind." She took off toward the counter, pulling money out of her pocket to pay for the pies. Might as well treat them for their hard work. They were volunteers, after all... though her wallet was going to hurt for it. She sighed, waiting for the innkeep's attention.

Zin giggled at Lloren's joke. "You're right," she agreed, immediately cheering up. Everything that could have gone wrong had gone wrong-- so all that was left was to have a perfect parade. "Yeah, sit down!" she invited, scootching over to make room at the table.

"...A titan somersaulting over the great wall? Now that sounds crazier than a Wallist extremist at a gathering in the center of down town." Alec looked at the light haired girl in mock horror for a moment, before laughing it off with a joke. His blue eyes were suddenly cast skyward. A seriousness, and chill filling his body that not even the meat pie he had in his stomach could warm. Now that was an awful thought...
Shivering, trying to sake a sense of paranoia and dread Alec looked up at Lloren's agreement for food having began to stuff his face, thanks to Preachers doing. "No please come sit down, I guess I'll take a moment too." He eased himself into a chair sighing. He watched Lloren pay, his admiration for the trainee had grown. She too was a kind heart, and it was good to know others did in fact care.
Given everyone was busy..maybe he'd see himself out after they ate. A game to settle his mind perhaps? He wasn't too sure. For now he sat down, and mingled with the small group, keeping to himself his sudden extreme discomfort and worry something could happen to the precious Walls he called home.

Preacher looked at Alec curiously, swigging down some of the most delicious tea she'd had in a while. "Yeah ya got a name: it's Curry. And, oh, please ta sit down, Lloren. You do hard work - prolly famished. But nah, no more titan jokes! I'd ruther my belly full than theirs!" Preacher patted the seat next to her. Zin had scooched over juuust enough. She hadn't missed the 'uh' and, to be honest, it amused her to no end. But as she looked up at Lloren, she saw past her, out the window... at the canal.
A brow quirked as he noticed the little hidden package there. He said nothing, but nodded once to the younger boy.
"Thank you, Preacher," he murmured quietly while taking one of the meat pies. He moved off a little further and seated himself. Shun's gaze flitted up towards Alec, then shrugged, "Save your coin. This should be enough for now."

"Fair enough." he peered over at the older, nodding some in understanding at his now refusal. Alec now mostly done, relaxed in his seat, sort of leaning back in his chair letting it creak. He'd let it go unspoken there may be a next time. he was fine holding onto what he had in his pocket for the now.
At Preachers assertion he was Curry, the red head sighed a bit dramatically, before nodding his head in agreement. "Ok. Does that mean your Peaches, or Creeper too me?" He inquired flashing a rather charming smile. (Or so he thought anyway) trying to feign innocence. "Or I could call you Blueberry, with all that hair ya got man." The teen chuckled some, ready to bolt should he get fussed in any shape or form.

Lloren came back to the table, feeling her wallet sadly lighter. She promptly interrupted the possible Curry's- er, Alec's, possibly firestarting comments with a basket of bread to the table, or hoped to. "Now we -definitely- won't march on empty stomachs!" She stated proudly, grabbing one of the four entire loaves for herself. She had half a mind to lean in and whisper in Alec's ear a reminder of how bad it got for Axel to be a target of this hurricane in particular, but having bitten into her bread, her full focus was drawn to how delicious it was. It was pumpernickel. She didn't expect there to be leftovers. Most of all, she didn't expect Preacher to try to steal again. Slowly she dragged a chair under her and took a seat next to Zin, where she'd made room for her.
Outside, a couple volunteers chased after and caught up to the splintered wood boards drifting conspicuously on the surface of the canal. They were soon hoisted out of the water in fishing nets.

Shun had made quick work of his meat pie. It was the only thing he had eaten all day after all. It might not have been much, but it should at least tide him over for awhile. Shortly after he had finished, Lloren came by with... a lot of bread. He eyed the loaves, but soon diverted his attention towards Alec and Preacher. At their little exchange, he just sort of shook his head slowly.
This probably won't end well.

Alec planted his chair on the ground, reaching quietly and mouthing a soft thank you to Lloren chewing quietly at the bread. "Nope. Marching on an empty stomach sounds awful." he murmured after finishing swallowing his food. " Ah yeah! I'm looking forward to it. Should be cool to watch." He commented in relation to the marching, and their stomach. Maybe if they did this again he could march in uniform..wouldn't that be something? His mind was wandering, lost in thought wondering what would happen.
Otherwise, he still was attentive for the most part.
Really,of course Alec didn't know how Preacher would take to his teasing. It hadn't been meant to be harmful, it was just how the male was. He'd stick to his guns, especially if Preacher kept it up on his end.

Preacher slowly turned her head towards Alec. She tapped her upper lip, as if carefully considering her nickname options. Then she leveled a hard glare at the red-headed boy. Even considering how irritating that teasing was... Alec didn't annoy her quite like Axel. It was alright, she supposed. At least she didn't want to knock his block off. After a long pause, she finally spoke.
"Ta you? It's Preacher. Only Preacher.I don't need a girly nickname, Curry." Preacher put both arms on the table and leaned forward, muscles bunching slightly. Alec meant no harm but.. Technically Preacher was a nickname. Or rather, a sort of cast-off for one girl who hadn't been given one at birth. "You kin remember Preacher well enough, right?" And suddenly, she smiled, that same cheeky smile as usual.

Swallowing her latest mouthful of bread, she was transfixed by the bulge in Preacher's muscles as she leaned forward, but quickly looked up again. Daamn, she wanted muscles like those, but it was no reason to be so rude. "You're rather hard to forget!" She laughed. "Um... so you work out, right? What's your routine like?" She asked, totally casually. Yes. Good.

Alec leveled the same amount of intensity as the other displayed, staring at Preacher with that sort of small smile on his face still. When Preacher stressed his nickname as Curry again, he simply replied calmly. "Sure Peaches, I can remember that easy enough." Alec shift in his chair some, keeping an eye on Preacher. He'd seen the other boy spring into action before..he was quick. Maybe as quick as he was. Either way Alec was simply testing the waters.

Day 8: The Parade is over!
Congratulations, we made it to the last day! The winner will be raffled at midnight EST/11 PM CMD/9PM PST, the 25th. So many tickets to tally gosh. I wonder if anyone would be willing to double check with me. rofl LEON IS A SAINT

Once more, streamers everywhere, Excitement and cheers in the air. Crowds aplenty line the streets, As horse and human march the beats Of rows of drummers Hooves in numbers And the song and dance of everyfolk. Down the canal drift joyous sounds Flower petals dance, peace abounds A hundred years ago, these walls were made A hundred years, till this parade.
The signal was given, and the Field Parade Marshal- back in full health- declared the march's new beginning. For every participant that had left the Parade for worry of another disaster, it looked as if like another had joined, eager to make Shinganshina's 100-year festival a success. The heroics of the young and their ensuing efforts to resume the parade had been inspirational to no few townsfolk.
They ran the full length of the canal- from one end of Shinganshina's citied areas to the other. No more people fell into the water. It took hours to cover the distance, and by the end of it, it was afternoon; the wall's shadows, only just having begun to stretch.
With the closing of the parade, much of it dissolved as people left to enjoy the other aspects of the festival, bringing costumed folk to booths and Stationary Guardsmen to the various pubs of Shinganshina or (more rarely) back to their posts. Many did not go their seperate ways, however; most musicians self-assembled into bands and stuck to groups of eager dancers mostly drawn from the parade's crowd.
Meanwhile, a banquet was almost done being set up at the commissioned Inn for the volunteers. Tables had been dragged into the inner courtyard, set with food and dishes in advance while the Parade had still been in progress. Barrels of ale sat against the wall of the building, small lineups already beginning to form behind them. The area milled mostly with happy, but rightfully tired, neighbors, come early to bring in and return their things and costumes. One area had been cleared, however, for dancing; a quartet of musicians played leisurely tunes on their instruments should anyone rise to go dance. Some would doubtlessly head there after their meals.
The field parade marshal stood at the end of a table, smiling, talking and shaking hands with one waiting guest after the next. He looked like he would be busy for some time still.
*It's the last day. RP wherever you want in town, no need to limit yourself to that area!

And so, we reach the last day of this RP event. I've found it to be a very fun and engaging experience, full of the richness of your characters and many funny moments where you had me cramping up with laughter. It couldn't have gone this smoothly without the help of a few kind people who were quick to help me correct a small number of still-quite-embarrassing derp-ups, so I wanted to say thanks, u gaize. I love you. quq <3 You've all been great sports! I hope you've all gotten the hang of RPing your characters, made some memories, and formed some bonds in the process. I really look forward to seeing you around in the next RP events... and let's not forget the booths! heart SEE YOU THERE. scream BUT WHO WILL WIN THE 1 POTATO??! ONLY TODAY WILL TELL.
