Several more shots came exploding out, Gale trying desperately to just breathe normally. He finished off a few more swarms of insects and turned to face Stormy, breathing a little bit harder than he normally would have.
"Yes, well, Jack Sparrow and John Watson have nothing on you," he said, and grabbed her hand and squeezed before spinning back around, half kneeling down on the ground to reposition the rifle, tilting his head to peer through the telescopic lens.

He did not want to actually follow Caelius, but there was something to be said about a man who seemed to never get hurt on his own. Gale trained the rifle in the right direction and tried to surreptitiously go one way -
- at least until Caelius noticed.
"Damnation."

"Suppose not . . ." Gale got a distracted smile as she followed after, because while Caelius didn't look sane (when did he?), staying in the wake of the Death Lead's large scythe at least kept them safe from harm. Until they both got knocked out of the way at least.
Damn kids get off his lawn.

Peyton had tried to ignore everyone as they'd been taking pictures, but the screams made that impossible. Her nerves still frazzled, even with the bourbon, the small teen had jerked to her feet, sending her chair crashing to the floor as the lights had gone out.
What happened next was chaos, and the Sun spot was screaming right along with everything else as the side doors crashed in and a giant ******** spider revealed itself. <******** this!" She squeaked, inarticulate as waves of tiny black bodies began to scurry towards her. She summoned Warrick, but what the hell were knuckledusters going to do against bugs? Nothing!
Instead she stamped at the nightmarish wave that came towards her, grateful that she'd worn boots instead of anything with open toes.

Those massive legs made awfully convenient targets. It was easy enough to hit, especially with Allan by his side. The Fear-wrapped fangs of Gir's blade sank into one of the waving appendages, the weapon growling and snarling triumphantly as they ripped their way through it.
It also brought a bunch of bugs crashing down on them, their tiny teeth nibbling at his Fear shield before he was able to brush them off. He stomped them underfoot as quickly as he was able, but started to feel a little woozy from the bites.

Melvin had stepped back from a tablet because of a spider. Just one, on a screen, not actually being there. Needless to say, seeing a room filled with spiders spilling from the ceiling and all around went past any semblance of a comfort level and straight into hysterical panic.
It was like before....
Gasping for air, the Lifer clawed at his hair and stepped back, arms close to his body and jerking away from the walls and anything. He jumped as the ground crawled with spiders, jumping up to a chair and gasping in short breathes, eyes wide as he looked for any exit. He couldn't be here. He wanted to run. Out. OUT!
Saliva shaking in his hands, he pointed down and shot at the spiders at his feet. "Get back!"

In his daze, Otto somehow got in the way of some fancy formation, and was quickly yelled at and shoved back into the clusters of happy waiters with bugs for brains. << Q u Q...... They're just.... piñata! Whack the silly piñatas, Otto!>> Tenya was trying very hard to keep Otto sane. It was miraculous, really. His eye twitched, and his grip on sanity too. Ofelia hit and tried to keep track of how many times she'd hit in her head but it was hard with so many people already running about and smacking into things. Everyone was fighting hard, right? She'd fight hard too because the monster needed to go away before the ship sank and she drowned.
The only problem? She took too much damage, or something, and suddenly her shield felt ridiculous alongside the rest of her body. It was like she had a weight on her arms and chest and moving was going to get a lot harder from here out.

Still freaking his every living s**t out, Melvin continued to shoot at the ground. The spiders managed to jump back, but only seemed to jump up like popcorn each time he shot into their masses. It was times like these that he wished he had a blowtorch more than a gun.
He continued to fire.

"******** spiders!" Her voice was shrill, and there wasn't a hint of her usual sass or sarcasm. She didn't like bugs, and spiders were worst. It was incredibly girly, embarrassing even, but there was nothing she could really do about it. Phobias weren't rational.
She kicked at another wave of spiders.
