Sun was really getting to know the muscles in her legs. Each one burned with its own unique agony.

Sun was startled at the change in tone. She paused, considering the offer, part of her just wanting to stop climbing the stairs. A smaller part, one made of iron, denied all the Voice's offers as false. Remember Aymet! Remember the Black Kingdom! Remember the sky cracking like the dome of a snow globe!
Sun bent her head, and continued the climb.

Finally, finally after ages and ages of stairs the faerie found the top. The Voice echoed in her head once more and she actually paused to look back down at the stairs she'd just traversed. So many other silvers seemed to be climbing the Tower... she had yet to see someone who wasn't. Did that mean they all had to die before coming here? Imryn hoped not. If there were those who could be spared for a bit longer, it might not be so bad. Knowing that you were't really there was just another burden to bear in this already horrid situation.

More and more stairs. Sun spared a thought for what lay outside. Was the world still there, or if there'd been a window, would she just see the void looking back at her? Was the Tower all that was left?
The Voice again. Bluster and cajoling failed, it sounded resigned. Apathetic, even. Sun found herself bored with the Voice's whining. If it really wanted to stop her, it should come down here and stop her! Stop throwing others about to do its work! Stop playing with fragments of others' memories!
If the Voice had a physical equivalent, Sun resolved then and there to beat it to smithereens. From somewhere, she found a little extra energy to put into climbing.

The soundless groan was starting to become habit forming for her as she trudged up the stairs slower and slower.
I can give you anything, right...Erintis mused as she thought to herself if it could give her anything it would have given her an elevator. Besides there was that nagging voice that said she needed to make sure the mirror was a lie.

[Enter] Julian frowned at the sign before him, once the Voice had stopped whining. Give up speaking. Fine, he didn't talk a whole lot anyways, unless you were his friend. And the only one here who even knew who he was was Belladonna, and he had lost her when he'd run into Lumi.
So up he went, in silence, any words or sounds in his throat frozen.
