Constance chuckled softly as Sister Tharven flicked Merrick's hair. She wasn't sure how she liked Merrick's hair better. She had liked him since the first moment she had seen him, but she had to admit the silver hair made him look..what was the word she was looking for?..Sexy. Yes, that was it. Sexy. Constance grinned wider and shook her head slightly. Her mind had drifted to other thoughts at that moment. Cassandra laughed, her eyes twinkling. "Dancing, it is a wonderful thing. It gives you such a rush, excitement. It's been a while since I have danced." She looked thoughtfully at Martha. "Perhaps the two of us will get our chance soon enough."~~~~ Merida sat on top of a stone wall, her feet dangling over the side. Her hands rested on either side of her as her face was upturned to look at the sky. Several of the dwellers here had slowed to look at her, but they had only smiled, nodded and continued on their way. She was sure that people like her didn't show up here often.

Sister Tharven tilted her head thoughtfully, having noticed the look in Constance's eyes even as she'd shaken her head slightly. "You were thinking of less than innocent things, eh? We do have private rooms upstairs if you need them," she said with amusement, deliberately teasing the girl. Merrick shifted subtly before he half turned, his gaze flickering out of the window. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi crossed her arms as she landed lightly on the balls of her feet a few yards away from Merida, looking out into the trees. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán saw Martha grin. "With luck, it'll come to pass," she said with amusement. -_-_-_-_-_-

Constance looked over at Sister Tharven with a grin. She found that she really liked this woman. "Hmm, well maybe we will take you up on that later," she said with a small shrug. "But Merrick is supposed to be showing me around, isn't that right Merrick?" Constance asked as she walked up to Merrick, looking up at him. ~~~~ Merida blinked and looked Kasumi's way. She hadn't heard anything, but she had sensed that she wasn't alone anymore. She smiled a little. "Needed some air Kasumi?"~~~~ "Yes, with luck," Cassandra said with a smile and nod. She looked up and saw Amelia and Carolyn standing up to look around, she assumed. She glanced over at Lorcan. "Did you want to see more of this place?"

Sister Tharven laughed. "Well don't let an old woman keep you waiting, lovebirds," she said with a chuckle. Merrick rolled his eyes as he glanced at a large oaken door that led to the cellar. "The cellar is this way; it looks much like a normal wine cellar, but has other drinks rather than simple grape wine, though it does have a few varieties of that; I personally like the blueberry wine, since its sweet with a slightly bitter aftertaste," he said with a shrug. He remembered when he and Hort, when they were but nine and seven respectively, had challenged each other to roll barrels of wine and ale up the ramp usually used for preparing the barrels. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi tilted her head. "I've gotten used to being in more wide open areas... lived in a desert village for a while that was actually pretty pleasant, except for that homicidal sand manipulating kid," she said wryly. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán tilted his head in a nod. "I can do that, if you like," she said with a giggle. Hort sighed as he rolled his eyes. "I suppose I'll be pushing you around, eh?" he said dryly with an edge of amused cockiness. Martha stuck out her tongue. "No, I can get around just fine!!" she said with an edge of amused annoyance. -_-_-_-_-_-

"Let's go see," Constance said with a grin as she looked at the cellar door. She hadn't ever tried a blueberry wine. She preferred sweet wine, but mostly she liked fruity tasting drinks. ~~~ Merida's head tilted to the side slightly as she listened to Kasumi. "Such an interesting life you have lived my friend." She pushed her hair over her shoulder. Sometimes Merida wish her own life were a bit more interesting, but the interesting it had become..well that wasn't what she had wanted exactly. She only hoped all of them would make it out of this alive. "Back at the meeting, you and Amelia were whispering to each other. What did she say to you?"~~~ "I would love for you to come with us, if you want." Cassandra said as she stood up from her seat and smoothed out the wrinkles in her clothes.

Alede OOC - I'm actually not sure what Merida's referring to. sweatdrop Merrick cocked his head with amusement as he lightly tugged on the door, hearing it creak open. "Maybe it's a good thing that a certain someone didn't break out the October Ale; that stuff has a strong flavor of peaches, hazelnuts, and strawberries with an aftertaste of honeyed almonds," he said thoughtfully; it was also the only naturally alcoholic drink they made at the Abbey. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi smiled slightly. "That would be telling," she said with a slight chiding tone in her voice; it was obvious she was teasing Merida. "Besides, you travel enough, you tend to find that what science says the world is like... is far from what it actually is; in fact, there is a powerful illusion similar to what hides this land that hides the one that I just referred to... the nature of the land is distinctly Japanese, but they speak English just as easily as anything," she said wryly. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán saw Hort shrug, as if he wasn't that interested as Martha rolled back from the table and rolled towards the stairs where a ramp with a slightly noticeable set of bumps similar to speed bumps was nearer to the wall. -_-_-_-_-_-

Kaosujin Ryu lol it was when Amelia told Kasumi she recognized her back during the witch trials...so what plan did you have for Virgil? Constance chuckled softly and nodded. "A good thing. Don't know if I could have stopped myself. Peaches and Strawberries are my favorite." She waited as Merrick pulled the door to the cellar open. She wondered exactly how many bottles they had down there. Well she was about to find out. ~~~ Merida grinned at her friend. She knew that Kasumi was old, but she had never been able to pry out of her exactly how old she was. "Things that are hidden are usually worth hiding." She said thoughtfully. "This land here. It's too beautiful, too peaceful. If everyone could find it, it would no doubt be ruined."~~~ Cassandra watched Martha towards the stairs and then turned to Lorcan. "She moves pretty fast in that thing," she said with a smile. She held her hand out to him, waiting for him to join here so they could follow after the young haremaid.

Alede OOC - *shrugs* No real idea; he's kinda a character that pops up more randomly than the Weasel, though he most likely won't intervene in anything directly. Merrick shrugged slightly as he tilted his head at the large foot and a half diameter barrels stacked six high and seven deep for probably three times over in front of them and six times to their right with two feet of distance separating each stack. "Meh, it isn't too bad, though the ale in question, per barrel is somewhere between fifteen and eighteen percent alcohol," he said wryly. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi tilted her head with a half smile. "They'd probably try the same if they knew about the hidden Countries that take up most of the Pacific Ocean; there are a few gateways that lead from say, Seattle, Anchorage, Tokyo, and Seoul, that lead there, but most of the time for one to get there, it takes a certain ferry at a certain time... funny how seals work, really... the ferry has a seal set up on it to peirce the illusion barrier, but otherwise, as far as humanity is concerned, the illusion and what it hides doesn't exist whatsoever," she said with a laugh. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán chuckled softly. "Guess she's the kind to move quick and talk quicker," he said quietly. "I heard that," Martha said, amused as she shifted in a one wheeled spin. Lorcan sighed, rolling his eyes as he shrugged in embarrassment after taking Cassandra's hand. -_-_-_-_-_-

Constance whistled softly as she saw all the barrels of alcohol. "Hmm, that's a lot." She said as she looked over at Merrick. "No doubt it's kicked many people on their butts." She smiled widely at him. She ran a finger lightly down Merrick's arm. "Can we try one of the wines? Do you think they would mind?"~~~~ Merida was quiet for a moment as she studied her friend. "Want to tell me about what you saw in there?" She asked softly. Nobody was around that she could see, but one could never be too careful. She hoped it wasn't anything bad, but judging by the way Kasumi hadn't wanted to talk about it before...it was bad. ~~~~ Cassandra laughed softly as she held onto Lorcan's hand and began to follow after Martha. "A thing to remember is that they have very good hearing here. If you don't want them to hear what you say, then don't say it or put a little spell around you." She lightly nudged Lorcan as she looked up at him with a loving smile.

Merrick shrugged. "Probably two of these stacks are October Ale, while the others are different wines ranging from blackberry, blueberry, peach, almond, mint tea," he said wryly with a shrug; he was going by what he smelled in the air to tell what was in the cellar. He lightly pressed his fingertips to the dirt floor, concentrating. To his surprise, the clay dust congealed and hardened into clay goblets as he unconsciously used geokinesis to form them. "I don't see why not," he said with amusement. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi shifted subtly, her head dipping momentarily. "The head of the desert village I lived in for a while, a guy by the name of Verōmaru, used his pregnant wife to seal a sand elemental into her unborn child... the child was born premature before the mother died... and the a*****e wanted to use the child as a 'weapon to prove the village's strength'... it wasn't long after that I headed to another village a week away from there; they usually use either wagons or feet for travel," she sighed. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán "We tend to listen more often than speak, most of the time," Martha giggled as she tilted her head. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs, having finished icing the cake upstairs, slipped quietly down the stairs behind Constance, his eyes widening slightly as he saw Merrick form the goblets. "Nobody will mind if you try the wines; I made some of them myself," he said with amusement as he stood on the bottom step a couple of feet behind the pair.

Constance watched as Merrick formed the goblets, a smile on her face. They were nice. She had been listening to Merrick, and she didn't hear Hobbs come down so when he spoke she jumped and spun around. "Hobbs! You scared me." She laughed softly. "Haven't you ever been told not to sneak up on people?" Her eyes twinkled with laughter. ~~~~ "Some people are terrible," Merida said with a small nod as she listened to Kasumi's story. Hell a lot of people were terrible like that, but there was more good than bad. "So what happened to the child," she asked with curiosity. ~~~~ Cassandra remembered that about them. They liked to listen, and if need be they would give advice. "So, where are we going first Martha?"

Merrick simply tilted his head as he looked up from the ground, amused as Hobbs revealed himself. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi shrugged slightly. "I don't know; the last I saw of him, he was with his brother and sister," she sighed. "Of course, in a way, I ended up out of the frying pan and into the fire... I saw mobs chasing a boy likely no older than four, maybe five... and when they did catch him," she said softly, her tone sad as she shivered; she'd seen and done things that were far from pleasant, but what she'd seen in that village was brutal and vicious. "I tried to adopt the boy, but couldn't... a man with one eye and arm claimed that the village's 'weapon' couldn't leave under any circumstances," she said quietly. A faint smile flickered over her face, as she hadn't revealed a crucial secret. "We're most likely going to head there next... especially since I didn't reveal one critical detail when I spoke to the so called 'elderly council member'... the boy's mother is my granddaughter," she said quietly. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán smiled slightly. "I was thinking we'd see about a certain mutual 'motherly' friend," Martha tilted her head as she spoke; she knew almost immediately Cassandra knew who she was talking about: Mother Mellus, since she was the resident herbalist and healer in Redwall. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs chuckled before he spoke. "What's the fun in that?" he said with a deadpan tone and a large grin as he picked up a thin hose with a barbed end and nozzle.

Constance chuckled softly and nodded. "Yes, I suppose you're right." She brushed her hand lightly through her hair. She moved out of his way. ~~~~~ Merida stared open mouthed at Kasumi. Finally she shook her head a little. "Why didn't you say anything about that before? And how long ago was that?" If she was startled to learn that her friend had a granddaughter, she didn't show it. Them going there next must mean that Kasumi intended to see the boy. ~~~~ Cassandra's head tilted to the side slightly as she tired to figure out who Martha was talking about. After a moment she smiled and chuckled. "Mother Mellus, huh? It will be good to see her again."

Merrick chuckled. "If I didn't know better, I would have said you were a Kitsune yourself, Hobbs, with how you enjoy a good prank," he said with amusement. -_-_-_-_-_- Kasumi shifted subtly. "What Damon didn't realize was that the so-called 'bindings' they had on me only held me physically; they didn't know that I could project my energy, my aura, into a physical double, and it was roughly four, maybe five years ago," she sighed as she shifted, an aura of golden red light flickering around her to form into an exact double of Kasumi. The clone grinned at Merida's face. "What's so surprising about me having a family... a few times over? The hard part isn't having the family... it's having to leave them to keep the fact that I'm practically immortal a secret that's truly hard," the clone said wryly. -_-_-_-_-_- Lorcán tilted his head with a thoughtful expression. Martha laughed as she shifted her arms, rolling up the ramp. -_-_-_-_-_- Hobbs chuckled at Constance's comment before he shrugged at Merrick's amused comment before he jabbed the barbed end into one of the barrels of peach and earthpea wine; the earthpeas gave it a subtle earthy flavor with a slight hint of tangiess.

Constance chuckled at Merrick's comment. She knew a lot of people who liked to prank. She leaned slightly against one barrel as Hobbs stuck the barbed end into one of the other barrels. ~~~~ "It's not surprising that you have a family," Merida said slowly as she grinned at her friend and the double she had made. "It's still surprising to realize how old you really are." She folded her hands together. "And you know you don't have to leave us, right? We know that you are practically immortal, and it doesn't bother us in the slightest. Well it doesn't bother me at all."~~~~ Cassandra walked quietly with Lorcan as they followed after Martha. Everything here was the same, yet different. She had been gone too long this time. No doubt she would come across some who had something to say about it. She hadn't meant to stay away for so long, but with all the things that had been happening...it was unavoidable.
