Oh hey, was it a scaredeo then? Nuru moved over to applaud at the teeny fuzzy boil riding the horsie determinedly, "Are they winning?" he asked the nearest passing person.
No, no it seemed they weren't as they soon called out for help.
Nuru moved in looking confused as he tried to get the kelpie to calm down, "Woa woa, what's going on?" he looked genuinely concerned.

Glad at least for the moment it seemed that Mort was at least ok. Moving about and trying to chew at the net. Good. But Alex's words soon run true in her ears. There were still Hunters, with nets, about and add on top of that this darn trap on the floor. Standing up, she brushed off her knees and straightened out her clothes. Not be a big target, right. The Jiang Shi was small so that would hopefully be easy enough. Hopefully. At least she had avoided the traps so far, her caution to enter the fighting before perhaps was her saving grace. "We need to figure out how to get these traps off everyone..." The ghoul piped in as she looked about warily at the remaining Hunters and students in traps. Oh. Now THIS was fun. Calder was full of energy, and with the foxfire as her hostage, she enjoyed jumping and bucking, and rearing back and kicking out in circles, letting out whinnies of enjoyment as she went.
When a boil approached to stop her, she only flared her nostrils and huffed his way. "No. Find your own Hunter to torture!"
With that she bucked around and flicked her tail at the boil before rearing up on her back legs. "Amrita! Look at the ugly backpack I have!!" She called out to her friend before continuing.
Calder would have had mercy, but for someone who clearly said he enjoyed mass killing, it just tended to keep the kelpie from being soft.

Amrita turned to heed Taima's warning, but couldn't dodge in time. The net enveloped her and brought her to the ground, and after a little bit of a struggle she looked up at Taima. Was she...apologizing? From her net the Patchwork gave her the most reassuring smile she could muster.
"N-not your fault! It's not the first time, won't be the last." She gave another struggle to try and get out, but all it did was tangle her limbs further. Uuugh, damnit, she hated nets! "I'm sorry I didn't get you out of yours first..." Amrita sighed, falling still once more. "Hey, I probably don't have to tell you this, but if someone tries to take you away, you fight. Even when you feel like your FEAR is gone, you keep trying to claw your way out. Don't worry about me, or anyone else, you try to resist no matter what, okay?" Her voice had taken a serious edge to it, but she knew how easy it was to give up; she considered it a few times in her (un)life, after all. She'd do her best to help Taima, but she was only one ghoul.
Oh well, back to struggling she went, trying her best to get free. Stupid nets!
Of course, all attempts to escape paused when Calder came by. Instead she just stared at the Mare through the loops of the net, and managed a chuckle. "That's hideous, Calder! ...You destroy that thing this instant!" She tsked, almost acting like she wasn't being pinned. Amrita's HP: 50/50 Status: Trapped! Baneful Quoting 'cause she's replying to Calder!

Rep only wished the golem had eaten something so he could make this rabid horse regret tormenting him like this. But the fact was that he was completely helpless, trying to lean with the bucking just to stop himself from getting whiplash.
And to think he'd thought rodeo was manly, it wasn't ******** manly at all, those rodeo cowboys had to be mashed to a pulp.
He hated horses, he hated rodeo, he hated every last bit of this.
"FU..UU..UU.CC..K.....YOUUUU" he yelled, intermittently accompanying Calder's movements with expletives. "When I get out of here." he snarled "I'm going to ******** FIND you. And you are going to eat my ******** axe you NAG."
He furiously continued. "And I'm going to find your ******** boyfriend too, and going to MINCEMEAT them too. Just ******** feed you both through the runic blender and LAUGH."

"What's that? You want to go faster? Okay!!" It was not good to make death threats to the mare that you were being tormented by.
"NAG COMING THROUGH!" Calder called out, and raced through those around her, bucking and kicking even faster. She had energy to spare.
Sorry Amrita but Calder was having a bit of fun. He felt someone would help you soon.

"Wait - that's not a--" and they werre back to tormenting the little creature again. Nuru tried to get in the way of Calder's rampage but was likely kicked here or there by her exuberance. That wasn't going to stop him though and soon he snapped, "YOU--" and pointed down at the ground, "PUT THE SCARELING DOWN RIGHT THIS INSTANT!"
"Before I MAKE you put them down!"
MoonKitsune Up to you if Calder actually kicked/injured him ofc, just leaving open the opportunity if you so desire since he's all kinds of all up in her way Quote: Nuru - Blue-skinned floppy-eared barghest boilStatus - Running Free HP - 40/40

"Faster? NOooooooooOOOoooooooo." He had to concede the insults were not a good idea, but at this point he was nothing but a fuzzy ball of incandescent rage. He was surprised the damn golem hadn't disintegrated with his pure and unrestrained fury at this predicament.
"I WILL END YOU."
He remained completely oblivious to the mistaken Barghest's attempts to intervene. He'd probably be grateful.

((Calder would be mindful not to hurt others.)) The tone of the boil's voice got Calder to stop in her tracks, and then lower her head with her ears back. "But.....But....But he's a Hunter! Not a scarling. He said he enjoyed killing us. Come on!!!!" She whined, mumbling. "I want to make his insides mushy." :C

Michael had been here the whole time. Really. He would unimpressed face at anyone who argued. Er. She would. Oh God. Shut. Up. Nuucha. The thunderbird had started cackling the moment he'd realized Michael was female again and hadn’t stopped. It was quite distracting, and annoying and was frankly pissing her off. It was this kind of possibility (and the memory of his introduction to Deus) that had made Michael quite happy to avoid golems and leave this sort of thing up to Death. Stupid mission. Snarling, which sounded a lot more menacing in this golem than it would normally, Michael raised her trap gun and aimed for the nearest monster to take her aggression out on. It just so happened that Nuru was in her sight. Pulling the trigger she watched as the net soared right past the ghost-dog-thing. She glared at the gun as though it was it's fault. HP: 10/10 Target: Nuru Attack: Trap - Fail (1/2) Appearance: Female, Average sized, Werewolf.

Nuru walked over and attempted to reach up for the creature on Calder's back, "Then let me take them, ah'll be responsible, okeh?" even though he was pretty clueless. He didn't understand the circumstances. He kinda thinks Calder is out of her mind, in fact. A small fuzzy scareling like that killing people? Ridiculous!
He could swear he felt a strong breeze whiz right past his head. Looked up for the source but it was long gone. Must be the crazy horse vibes. He's not catching crazy, no way.
MoonKitsune S'cool just wanted to give you the freedomz :> (and sorry for double quote. Someone attacked nuru and I missed it the first go round XD) Quote: Nuru - Blue-skinned floppy-eared barghest boilStatus - Running Free HP - 40/40

Rep flopped forward onto the kelpie's back with a heavy groan as she stopped dead.
"Auuuuuugh ******** helllll."
He still couldn't move and could only look over at the Barghest hopefully, incapable of even thinking straight enough to string together a few words, his brain felt like it was in tiny shattered pieces in his golem's skull
He gave Nuru a meaningful look and pleaded"Hburghlbe mepherble."

It was then that Michael actually registered the ghost-dog-things companions and that one of them was a half-crumpled golem in the process of being tortured by some horse-thing. She faced palmed hard. Loading her last shot into her net gun she aimed at the horse, hoping not to hit whoever it was in the golem as that would kind of ruin her attempts to save them, and fired. Once again the net flew over her target harmlessly. Michael threw down the trap gun in disgusts and made a mental note to get some long range practice in when he got back. Amrita's apology only made her feel more guilty. She wasn't a fledgeling anymore, she didn't need looking after! "Well, duh," Taima replied, frustration bleeding into her tone, both the entrapment and the sting of failure making her snappy. "I'm not going to just let anyone take me anywhere. Not unless they're prepared to lose a limb or two first." She flashed Amrita a grin that wasn't nearly as impressive as it would have been with a beak full of sharp teeth, but the intent was the same. Her mood lightened a little as Calder galloped by with a fluffy boil on his (her?) back that was spewing threats and obscenities. She put her attempts to free herself from the net on pause in favor of watching, even snickering a little. Honestly, that guy probably had it even worse than they did!

Five minutes and five seconds was the exact time that it took Mark to activate the trap. For Hunters it seemed longer, painfully slow, missions that often consisted only of mere hours dragging past what seemed like months and months of soul-weary, body-searing agony. For students, it was not enough. Not nearly enough to explain the pain of losing ally after ally, not nearly enough to explain why it was always them. Why they were the ones who had to fight, why not someone else, why why why why-
- The ground hummed, noisily, loudly, and then erupted in white, enclosing everything, all students, even the Heirs, within the rectangle -
- Just as Medea pushed herself inside, her cloak tattered, appearance more decrepit than usual she shrieked, eyes practically rabid, as she planted another summoned sceptre into the ground, wedged between the glowing cracks. The very cavern hummed and shivered, Fear struggling with Runic magic, a surge of blue-white and dark crimson struggling against each other. Slowly, however, the High Priestess was winning, everything turning dark again, the ground once flickering again into an illusion: spindly trees, low fog, the loud howl of-
- The room shifted back again as one very pissed Death division lead, appearance just as unruly, broke the illusion with a single shockwave, pushing all occupants back. The excess Fear drove into the ground, shaking the tiles as the ground beneath them crackled again, ceiling crumbling, threatening to collapse from the strain of Fear. Unable to handle the surge of Fear, the staff Medea had summoned cracked from the very tip, the orb shattering, fading into black.
And then everything exploded. Pain. Whites. Waiting again, holding their breath, wishing once again that the dissipation would be fast.
Yet, when they reappeared again in the nurse's office, after the shock and pain wore off, there was another more immediate problem.
Some of them were missing. OOC - ALL HUNTERS: Welp, if you were unlucky your golem body blew up in the crossfire, if you were a little luckier, the trap worked - you see some of the students seemingly flicker and then disappear and then - - YOU WAKE UP BACK IN DEUS. HOORAY. I think. Maybe you should report back here, it really doesn't seem like the mission had any sort of real conclusion other than you kinda blew up. - ALL STUDENTS. You have dissipated and are now in Cricket's office HERE. Just use the dice healing mechanics on yourself, you don't actually need to bother yourself with Cricket, she seems busy. - SOME STUDENTS ARE MISSING: but which ones? It's hard to tell how many of them were in the cave. Maybe they just dissipated and... arrived in another location? A skellyphone text might help. - HAVE YOU BEEN CALLED? IF you have been QUOTED HERE then it seems you are very, very unlucky. - HEIRS - Just go here!
