Selene felt she had made a huge mistake by answering the text so quickly. One after another, students started to gather around Vanth, offering their help or bothering her - and Selene, while nodding to Melusine and whispering a soft "Selene," to her, started to back away and try to hide behind the group. She wanted to be neither seen, nor heard - if they needed her, she was there, but until then, she was not. No one would notice the little snake ghoul, and that was her own doing. She followed Vanth and Melusine wherever they went, like a quiet shadow.

May turned around to find Tarot looming next to her, asking her questions. "I dunno ... it's kinda weird. I wonder if it belongs to someone down here?" she whispered back. She looked around the tiny cave. Nothing really stood out to her.
She put a hand on Tex's shoulder, looming over him. "The coat's kind of nice. All shiny- I like it!" Not that she was going to take it. She'd already said before that she was leaving everything to ~mother Halloween~. "Maybe we should get a teacher to come down here ... Moving it seems kinda tough." It was a big brick after all. If they wanted to move it to the teachers, May wasn't volunteering to carry it.

He couldn't really explain why he'd done what he'd done, other than the fact that he felt an odd sort of kinship and attachment to Kato, despite the fact that the other boil was far from an ideal friend. But he'd spent the past three years getting to know him, and they at least knew each other well enough for Jinhai to stand up for him when it came down to it.
For the most part, that was.
Jinhai felt Kato's hand grip his for -
- for about a fraction of a second.
SPLASH!
He didn't even have to look to know who it was, though right now Jinhai was more concerned about getting air into his lungs than pushing Dis off of him. Though once his head managed to break the surface, Jinhai gasping for breath, he shoved at Dis'.
"Oh for Jack's sake, I do not - "
He fumbled in the water, his clothes feeling heavy as he dragged himself up, half entangled with everyone else. Thoroughly soaked, Jinhai pushed his now sodden hair away from his face, turned and looked calmly at Dis, gave a small smile -
- and then kneed him in his happy place.
"Come on, Kato," said Jinhai, quite lightly, and grasped the boil's arm, hauling him to his feet and half pulling, half dragging him out of the water and back onto dry land.

Arcana did in fact get the message. It took him a couple of minutes if not AWHILE to get over to the DETH members as their were students using the pool as a public sex bath.
Please let me get out, please let me get out.
Arcana squeaked, barely dodging Jinhai and Dis plus another as they jumped in and scrambled over to the group that was investigating some sort of cloak....or white/gold clothing.
"Hey....Thats pretty fine material for our world...." He peeked over Tex's shoulder and then backed away immediately. He'd watch okay, he'd watch.

Selene let out a yelp when the snake slid up her body, and then died inside once she realized she just let out a yelp. "Oh, Carafe, you should not sneak up on me like that, I was so surprised.." Nevertheless, she cuddled the snake against her, letting it wrap around her entire body, and continued to be Vanth's little silent shadow.

Red was soaked from tip to tail as she hauled Arel up and out of the water, slinging the unconscious ice demon over her shoulder with a grunt of effort. Cricket may or may not have been either pushed off or attempted to be slung over her other shoulders. Either way, Red sloshed her way out of the lake and whistled. "DEFENDERS ASSEMBLE! I'll meet you at our usual meeting place!" She roared, trying to make her voice heard. "If you're wet, dry yourself off too!" And with that, the Defenders leader was gone.

Vel continued to eye the pendant warily before snatching it up. She gave d**k a peculiar look, but before she could say anything else, Red had called for the Defenders. Eyes lighting up, she glanced to any other Defenders in the area, then hurried on away to head to the meeting place. ((Exit))

Cricket swooned over Red's shoulder as she was carried off.
Whether it was purposefully theatrical or unintended, it was rather amusing, if nothing else.

Selene heard Arcana's voice, and blushed heavily just at the sound of it. She bent her head close to Carafe's and whispered something very secret to the snake. No one could know the snake secrets.

It sounded like the Red-lady was calling for a meeting, so d**k shrugged his shoulders after Vel snatched the pendant away from him and followed after the raptor to go and head towards the 'regular meeting place.'
He'd stop by his dorm to dump some of the treasure he'd shoved into his pockets there...and get a new pair of sunglasses too.

Turning around at the voice, Pyre gave a soft laugh and shrugged. "Guess duty calls." She grinned and tried to ring a little more water out of her clothing as she too followed the fuzzy Defenders leader.

Carafe juggled this information. He was happy, sure, but now there would be less time for Carafe. Less time for Carafe pets. Less time for Carafe pets.
"Congratulationsss Misss Ssselene~" he whispered back (SNAKES CAN TOTALLY WHISPER). The frown on his snakey little face betrayed his thoughts though. "I sssuppossse thisss means lesss time ... for Carafe?"

Spotting Arcana near Tex, Tarot smiled and decided to take a step to the side so she was between Arcana and May, both of whom were leaning over the cowboil. She turned back toward the coat and stared at the bright splotches of red. Someone had said it was blood, right? Blood splatters didn’t sound like a good thing. “If it belongs to someone here, I think they would have claimed it by now,” she murmured.
“Do you mean the tablet?” Tarot asked May as her gaze flickered to the piece of stone. “Is there stuff on it? Maybe someone should try to read it.”Anyone else by the coat? ovoa

Eventually the shrieks just became too annoying, and Ashly stood up out of the water, her ears ringing with the sound. This entire venture had seemed to be completely pointless, and she very slowly began to make her way back to the shore, just as she heard Red yelling out to the defenders.
She guessed that was her cue to leave.
Struggling her way up to shore, she attempted to shake the water off of herself and ring out her long, dark hair, but she was a sodden mess. Undead and water really didn't mix well, did they? With a sigh that ended in coughing, she followed the other defenders out of the cavern.
