Strongheart jumped back her eyes wide and her fur raised. She didn't mean for her fur to fluff out, but it did anyways. She realized her fur was fluffed out and then tried to make it go flat, but she couldn't, so she said, "I didn't mean for my fur to fluff out I swear. It's just I've never seen that before..."

Strongheart could see the hurt in Saber's eyes and said apologetically, "I'm sorry. I've just never seen that before is all. I'm not going to be mean or anything, I promise. I'm a very accepting wolf and you are a member of the pack, so I won't turn my back on you." Strongheart walked over to Saber and looked up at him hoping he'd believe her.

Strongheart looked at Saber and smiled, her tail wagging slightly. "It's no problem. I treat others the way I would want them to treat me. I know what it's like to be abandoned and it's not fun. Like I said earlier, my mother brought me to this pack as a tiny pup and then after a while she just left." she looked at the ground and pawed it after she finished speaking.

Foxpelt was beginning to pace and was getting anxious. He was itching for a fight, but he also wanted to flee for his life. 'Why am I such a coward?' he thought as he paced.

"I guess you can help me, but I don't like the thought of someone risking their life for me. No one has ever done that for me before. I've always done everything myself. I suppose it was because I didn't want anyone to get hurt for me. I mean I'm just a small wolf that tries to heal and do other things, but I'm no good at any of it...... My mother always told me that I was always going to be a runty wolf and other cruel things...... She was never kind to me. I'm guessing it was because I was the only pup that lived out of the litter, but still you don't tell a pup that....." Strongheart said as she curled up and covered her eyes with her tail, not wanting Saber to see how upset she was, however, her voice was shaking and that was sure to give her away.

Strongheart looked up at Saber and then said, "Thank you Saber." before putting her tail over her muzzle again. 'I wonder if I should do this or not.....' she thought as she sat up and started making tiny pebbles, then making them float in the air. She wanted so badly to pelt the camp with the stones, but knew it could lead to all of the wolves getting hurt or worse.
Foxpelt saw Strongheart, but did nothing and he thought, 'Well, maybe something's going to happen after all.'
