Medicine and magic are two different things.
And there was no black magic involved in the Salem witch triles. Forgive me if I come of as mean I just think Americans shouldn't use magic. Leave that to the old timers like England and Ireland and China and Japan, and the other European nations.

I don't know. I don't think that it's too odd for any of the states to have magic. After all, America doesn't consist of just Americans. Majority of the people in the U.S. came from all over the world. You have people from England, China, Mexico, Ireland, Germany (who has the magic abilities of a potato), and many other nations. Plus you do have the Native Americans who do believe in magic.
As for the Salem Witch Trails, a big part of the trial was a big blow-up of how people thought people were practicing black magic and trying to recruit people to being the Devil's servant by using magic to enslave people. Yeah, magic may not have actually been used, but this did still involve the death of many innocent people who were unjustly killed because they either "were" witches, were hiding a witch by refusing to call other people out as a witch, or (sometimes) just because someone wanted to be paid for finding a witch and so they found ways to trick others into thinking someone was a witch. In Massy's RPer defense, Massy (being a state) doesn't age (or, at least, not a whole lot), so she was probably mistaken for a witch and after a while, she probably thought, "You know what, if they're going to accuse me of using black magic, then I might as well know black magic!"

I get what you mean Mint. American's are more about being modern and being different and new. Which is why Alfred is unable to see all the creatures that Arthur sees.

XD I was considering starting up a HetaOni rp but lately no one seems to be liking my Hetalia rps. =/ @Guild: I plan to post for Italy soon, I'm just unsure as to where I should post him and whether or not I should rp him from scratch since I don't know what he's done prior to me joining.
