Mala groaned, exhausted and barely able to stay awake. "V-van? What's going on out there?" she murmured.

"A mutiny, that's for sure. Probably shouldn't see this." Van said sitting back down next to her. "From what I could hear earlier, the captain died from getting thrown back after failing to break your barrier, and I guess everyone's fighting for second in command now." he said before looking to Mala. "Are you going to be okay? You look exhausted."

Looking weakly at Van she said, "I'll...I'll be fine. I just need some rest. That brawl should keep them distracted, right?" She leaned against the wall, closing her eyes once more as she tried to rest herself for a moment.

"Yeah, you just rest up for now." Van said as he got back to his feet and scoured the pile of stuff that was in the room, finding a spare blanket that he folded up for Mala to use as a pillow. "If any do somehow survive, they probably won't have much fight left in 'em."

Mala opened her eyes to look at Van once more, taking the blanket and laying herself down on the floor. She folded her arms behind her head, keeping the blanket-pillow inbetween her arms and her head as she slowly began to fall asleep. "Thank you..." she murmured before conking out entirely.

Van just sat next to Mala against the wall, giving her a faint smile before he stared dully into the space in front of him. Something else to look forward to upon his freedom. Human interaction. The rest of the gods never did make for good company. A nap was tempting, but he couldn't risk any surviving pirates getting the jump on him.

The pirates eventually stopped fighting, all being either unconcious or dead.
The lack of noise made resting easier for Mala, since she seemed to relax more once the yelling died down.

Hearing the commotion had died down, Van decided it was safe to take a nap of his own. He scrounged for a makeshift pillow of his own before laying down near Mala.

Hours later, Mala woke up to find Van still sleeping and that none of the pirates had come into the room yet. Certainly they were both incredibly lucky. She slowly forced herself to get up and open the door to check outside. The massive ammount of blood made her go pale. She shrieked.

"WHAT? WHAT? Are there stragglers?!" Van bolted up suddenly upon hearing Mala's shriek and automatically grabbed his trusty board.

"So..so much blood. Holy crap! I was hoping I wouldn't have to see something like this again!" she exclaimed, reffering to the reason why they left home when she said the word 'again'. "Oh gods, they really went all out didn't they?!"

"I told you you shouldn't see it..." Van said calming down as he scratched the back of his head. "We should head up a deck. The less we have to look at this mess the better."

Mala nodded. "Y-yeah. Let's head up." she said, avoiding stepping on any blood or limbs at all costs. Once she was in a 'safezone', she bolted to the upper decks.
