He didn't trust Lilianna or the dragon for that matter, but he could at least use them to save his daughter. "Fine. I'll help you." Fenrir agreed after a moment of consideration. "But know this." He faced Lilianna. "We have a score to settle. Once you've regained your memories, I'll kill you."

A guy's voice laughed in Liliana's mind, seeming to relish the thought of taking on this "legendary" man. Liliana just nodded, glad for help to get her memories back. Aura snorted at Fenrir but flew back over to Liliana all the same. The man liked to make death threats way too much. "Jasper was last at the roots. Envy would be with him so we would need to actually be looking for her to find her," Aura explained. "Once we locate her, you'll be able to see her too to attack. Remember, it's the mirror to break, not your daughter. None of us here want to see Selene get hurt."

Liliana walked over to sit beside him. Leaning over, she rested her head on his shoulder. It was good to know someone was more ready to help than the other people she had met so far. "Despite how you act, you're not that horrible. I think someone hurt you real deep and now you hide behind a mask that is meant to scare everyone away," Liliana said. Smiling, she gave Fenrir a small, heartfelt hug. "It's okay to relax from time to time. Even if it's alone."

"I've figured out I can feel people out," she said, reaching out to hold his hand. "Emotions. So I had to make inferences from there. I wish I could remember. But I don't need my memories to know that sometimes all someone needs is a hug. Besides," she added, giving Fenrir a warm smile, "if you were all that horrible, you wouldn't be worried about your daughter. I'm sure you're a good father for her."

Liliana was curious now. "Why would you say that? Every child needs their father. I wish I could remember what mine was like or if I even had one. What about you and your father? Didn't he help raise you and teach you as you grew up?" She could feel the slight unease from him so she put her hand down on the grass.

Fenrir rolled his head back against the tree trunk, strands of his jet black hair fell back to show more of his face. "You know, I lost my memory too some time ago. But I found those responsible and recovered most of it." His electrifying blue eyes sharpened as Fenrir recounted the event. "I searched so hard for it, because I wanted to discover a side of myself I'd lost. Maybe find happiness, or even peace of mind would do. Anything that could tell me that I used to be different than what I am now. Do you know what I found?" Fenrir looked at Liliana. "Nothing. I have always been the way I am now. So discovering my past didn't change anything. Even when my memory was gone and I had my second start, I blindly followed into the same nature I had before."

"Just because it's what you've always been doesn't mean it's what you always have to be. Each new day is a new chance to try and change your future. If you just stay in the same pattern, you don't control your fate. It controls you." Liliana was feeling tired. The trip here had been long and tiring, Scooting closer to Fenrir, she leaned against him and closed her eyes. She wasn't going to fall asleep. She just wanted to rest her eyes from the assault of energies she had been looking at. Maybe if she wrapped her eyes, it would dim the colors...
