It's not a knock off...the only thing I can really give them for being similar is that they're both card games.
I play MTG was well ^_^
I need to find my goblin deck...that thing was beastly.

The games are set up similar battle-wise, by my understanding. And Magic came first.
I dunno. I always despised Yu-Gi-Oh! ever since it became popular at my middle school.
Also: I really want to play Magic now. xd I want to destroy someone with Slivers.

There is one big difference you are forgetting, a vital difference: War is a simple game of luck, where MTG is a complicated game of skill and strategy.

Nah, I really don't feel like messing with it anymore right now.. Skype screen-sharing has no sound and is laggy as hell. Mikogo is a little better, but still no sound.
Mikogo will serve the purpose of me helping my girlfriends with Photoshop, but it won't work if we want to try to watch a movie together or something.
