User ImageTristan couldn't help but grin underwater, giving almost an apologetic sort of laughing smile as she caught up to him. He almost... felt it. His eyes just confirmed it. Actually, it felt as if he knew where everyone was in the room. Uh... Oh wait, people did have electrical impulses in their bodies right? Oh.... Oh thats kinda sick. He chuckled to himself, swimming up towards the surface with her, arriving a few seconds sooner than her.

Breaking the surface, he breathed in, smoothing his wet hair from his eyes. He easily tread water he found, remembering that he had difficulty with it before. Huh, oh well, wasn't like he was about to complain. "Sorry, I just couldn't help myself." He said with a small laugh.

User ImageIt wasn't as if he was suddenly thinking perverted or anything. It was simply that he hadn't expected such a joyous reaction from her simply because he'd been able to help her a little. Then again, she had said something about being on the verge of losing control over her powers. That wouldn't have been a good thing, so maybe that's why she was suddenly so excitable. Her cheery mood had brightened him up as well. Whether she hugged him or not, he probably would have smiled anyway. He couldn't deny that he'd liked the hug. Hugging a pretty girl was always a fun thing, especially if he was pulled into it so suddenly.

She seemed so interested in his eyes. That would make it dangerously easy for him to pull her into his hypnosis if he really wanted to. Though, he was willing to guess that he wouldn't be able to do it right now. It was rare for him to be able to use his ablities more than once in such a short time. At the mention of what he used his power, Hyunn thought on it for a moment, trying to find a suitable answer. "Usually lightening the mood," He answered, twisting it a little. He was telling the truth, in a sense that's what it did if he was trying to flirt with someone less responsive to him. So it was a bit of an unfair advantage, but afterwards they didn't seem to mind, usually. "I haven't really found a huge use to help people with it, you being the only one so far truthfully. It's not like I can usually call on it whenever."

User ImageVira took a couple of bites of her fruit while she awaited his reply, not really minding the wait. She had pancakes to distract her after all. Lightening the mood.... That was an interesting response. She wonder what that included specifically. But she decided not to press too much. Blinking, she swallowed and nodded once, not honestly expecting herself to be the first he helped via this hypnosis he had. "Well, glad to be the guinea pig on that then." She spoke with a giggle, tilting her head with a smile.

She took a sip of her water, pondering the last part of what he said. He made it sound like the percentage rate of success was rather low. "It's not because of reasons like people being resistant to Jedi mind control is it?" She teased him gently, chuckling to herself. When she had run out of the orphanage once in an attempted run, a man found her and showed her some movies, Star Wars being one of them. Man she had been badly punished.... No, she was in too good a spirit to let those things bother him. And surprisingly, they did leave her alone. "Thats why we're here though, so we can get better. I'm sure there will be a point when you will be able to."

User ImageSo, it seemed that way on both ends, not just his. Seiji had run into a few odd things during his travels, but in the end nothing had been as challenging as his teachers had been. After all, most of what he dealt with while travelling had been human. As durable as some people could be, none of them had been much trouble for his Psyharden abilities. Ranka obviously wasn't like those normal people. Then again, none of them here at the academy were. Still, he was glad to find someone so suitable to spar with. It was a good change of pace for him. He shouldn't have been so hesitant about the idea. Seiji had known she could take care of herself.

"Well, I'm glad I could keep up so well. Even if I did slip up in the end." Literally. "They taught me as much as they could. I'm sure if I went back they might be able to teach me more now that I'm older. But they also told me that all the battle training they put me through would be good for me." More than he could every really imagine. It had saved his life on more than one occasion. On top of that, it was also one more thing that he could share with Ranka, in a way. Watching her brush the hair from his face, he smiled. Already she seemed able to be more intimate, even if it was just the little things. It was progress though. Progress that would carry on further.

User ImageRanka found herself chuckling a little when he said he slipped up. If he hadn't slipped, who knows how the battle may have ended up? Possibly in a draw from what she had seen. It wasn't like she was planning on carrying on until one of them won. He had seemed to be getting a bit tired or at least slightly fatigued, so she was glad they had stopped when they had. "Knowing any form of self-defense is wise. One never knows if a situation will call for it." She didn't realize it, but she was almost quoting her target, Tsuki Kobiyashi. The Elder's did instill certain beliefs into all of their creations. Especially those they expected would require the need to fight.

Leaning forward, she picked up her scythe, careful not to bump him as she reattached it in it's sheath on her back, taking her eye patch from it's pole. She tied it back around her head, covering up her oddly colored eye. She knew she didn't mind if he saw her like that, but she wasn't comfortable with others seeing it. His smile eased her, brushing her hair back so it flowed behind her rather than in front of her shoulder.

Elly giggled a bit and sucker punched his arm for doing that. She dunked down again and went to the bottom and then came back up, her long her now slicked back. "Well it seems like you can swim now," she commented with a smile. It was good that he remembered how to do it, just incase something happened where he had to swim in the future.

Elly then let her body float more to the urface and she lay on her back and closed her eyes. The sounds of people talking and water being filtered sounded so soothing at the moment. She could feel her body relaxing as she lay there too, which felt not only wonderful, but also a bit strange too. It was probably the whole, 'can't save drowning people or self' thought that made things feel out of whack, kind of like being around cigerette smoke in a room when you aren't really used to it and you don't smoke yourself. But Elly didn't let this get in the way of her fun. Plus, that's what life guards were for, which usually consisted of water elementals that were certified in drawing it out of ones body.

User ImageA guinea pig, well it wasn't exactly true. But not wrong either. He'd never really tried anything of the sort before. Usually in his regular scenarios they were either happy to flirt with him or a little more cautious. It wasn't something bothering them that prevented him from helping. What was there to help if they weren't feeling upset? He could help them relax at times, but in Vira's case it had been obvious something else was tugging at the back of her mind. He guessed he could do that to more people, but it wouldn't have as great an effect as it did on her.

At the mention of Jedi mind control, Hyunn thought on it for a moment. It was sort of like that. Though every time he'd tried so far the person succumbed whether they wanted to or not. Sometimes it varied on how strong of a grip he had on his power. Vira seemed very interested in his eyes, even without him using his hypnosis, that surely had an effect on how easily she fell under his power. "Mm, maybe. I don't really think so. I mean, sometimes I seem to have better control over it. Other times not so much." He paused, his attention returning to his pancakes for a moment as he reached for them, stuffing a piece into his mouth as he listened to Vira. "Yeah that's true. I'm hoping by time I leave this place I'll have full control. Able to use it whenever I want. Then again I guess that's the goal we'd all like to have."

User ImageSelf defense had been a part of his training ever since his teachers took him in. He hadn't been the only one they were training. So it wasn't like he had their complete attention to himself. It was simply that he seemed to progress at an excelling rate. So on occasion, he would have private lessons aside from the others. His progress in combat was even more so. Which was likely why Brahn had always pushed him so hard. He'd noticed that the other Psyhardens they'd trained didn't have combat as nearly as tough as he did. Still, these days he appreciated all the effort Brahn put into it for him. "Could end up in a world of trouble and not even notice it. Aside from keeping the body fit, self-defense usually keeps the mind sharp too." Their sparring match had been proof of that. If he didn't have as much training as he did, she would have overpowered him much sooner.

Regardless, the match had been fun. Even though his slip had caused his loss, he wouldn't have to expend any more Kei for the rest of the day. Which was good. Not only that, but he'd learned a few things about her as well. She could definitely handle herself in a scnario of conflict. He wouldn't have to worry about that anytime soon. Especially if she was being serious. He looked to their hands, running his thumb over the back of her hand as he'd done the day before. This was only the beginning of the day. When the news of having classes cancelled for today, Seiji wasn't sure what he was going to do with himself. But this had been a good start to his day. He was sure it would be a good one.

User ImageVira chuckled a bit, he seemed to be taking her joke so seriously. Ah well, sometimes it was good to be serious though. "I only start to lose control in certain situations. Usually relating to my emotions. Least yours doesn't run the risk of destroying anyone in the vicinity." She gave a nervous chuckle, sipping at her water as she felt it getting a bit warmer. She had another breeze roll through, gentle this time as opposed to that one earlier.

Sighing lightly, she nodded once, looking up to the sky through the leaves of the tree. "I don't want to feel like I'm a risk to everyone around me. I'm sure everyone just wants to be able to continue with their lives with their powers. I'm sure it's easier for some than others." She thought of a couple of people in her class, tempted to bring her knee's into her chest, but her skirt prevented her from doing so. She bit into her pancakes, not having too much left to eat.

User ImageWhat he said was very true, causing Ranka to nod once, remembering how some of those soldiers had seemed so.... novice. She could see how their spirits wavered. Not that she could blame them against the force she had commanded. Oh those had been dark days.... Shaking her head, she didn't want to dwell on such matters. "If one doesn't train the mind, certain situations can lead to their downfall." She agreed softly, her eye refocusing upon his.

Her eye did lower as he stroked her hand with his thumb, a faint smile rising to her lips. It never ceased to make her feel warm in her chest. Though.... her dream was nagging at her again, pushing it away forcefully as she looked up to him once more. "Is there anything you wished to do now that we have a free day? Besides grabbing you a drink for the moment." She inquired, adjusting the sleeves of her dress with her free hand.

User ImageHyunn seemed to eat through his pancakes rather quickly as he listened to her talk. He'd suddenly felt more hungry all of a sudden. Two pancakes left, he returned his attention back to her. It seemed the topic was drifting back towards more serious matters. He'd have to steer away from that conversation to avoid anything that might cause her to get upset. He wasn't sure if he would be able to use his powers again so soon should the need arise. "Maybe, but I don't think if I lost control anything would happen. My power isn't exactly super active anyway. In fact I have more trouble invoking it than not."

Sometimes it felt like his hypnosis liked to lair more dormant then becoming active. As she spoke about not wanting to risk others, he tried to think of something else, to move onto another topic without completely switching. "Well we all have different rates of learning. Besides, I'm sure it comes in handy for you. I'm sure many people would love to be able to feel the experience of flying. It must be a wonderful sense of freedom."

User ImagePlacing her plate aside, Vira was done for now, simply content to sip at her water. It felt like such a lazy day.... Almost like it did at the park when she'd be singing with Tristan playing guitar next to her. A soft smile spread across her lips, her golden eyes briefly appearing distant until she heard him speak. Blinking twice, she snapped out of it and turned to look at him, chuckling a bit. "You'll get the hang of it. Just need some more practice and a better understanding as to how it happens. Was there a factor in one situation that allowed you to succeed? Was it absent in another time when you failed? Stuff like that. Almost like testing a hypothesis." She grinned, remembering how well she had done in their chemistry class. Though.... probably helped that sometimes it felt like the gases and liquids spoke to her.

Initially his suggestion surprised her. Came in handy? As he explained what he meant, she understood, giggling as she brightened up a bit. "I'm sometimes saddened to know that they can't join me. Or they feel afraid when I offer them a flight. It is.... I've always loved it." Now she paused, tilting her head a bit. "Do.... do you want to give it a shot? I promise I won't drop you." She asked, albeit hesitantly. Most tended to refuse with some excuse attached.

User ImageDownfall was much more than it could lead to. He was certain she knew about that as well. A loss or slip up could cost one a lot more than a bit of embarassment as it had for him. Death was often the penalty in more serious scenarios. He was glad his life hadn't become forfeit thus far. It would be a shame to die so soon after finally finding a good place to be. He was enjoying his stay here at Estelle. The fact that he had met Ranka making it much more so.

As she asked the question, he had to think on it for a moment. What did he want to do? It was a free day, so he could do absolutely anything he wanted. It was just going to be a matter of what to do. Without classes, they could roam and find all sorts of things to do, he was sure. "I don't really know yet." He answered, unable to think of anything at the moment. "I guess I really didn't think I would have a whole lot of free time with classes and all. Now that we're suddenly free I can't think of what I'd like to do." He wasn't sure if Ranka would really have an idea either. She mentioned yesterday she didn't know a whole lot when it came to recreation. He would think of something eventually.

User ImageHmmm, she didn't know anything fun. She only knew work. She was sure Sheryl would have idea's, but she didn't want to disturb her while she recuperated. At this point, she just didn't want to dwell upon what was in the back of her head. She didn't know enough facts to be worrying so now.

"There isn't a lot to do here at school, is there?" Ranka spoke softly, glancing around them. It wasn't like she ever did sports, or write, or draw, or do music. She had never been taught such things. There had been no need to. Help the dead move on, fight, obey, observe, and oversee her realm were all she needed to do.

User ImageUnlike Vira, Hyunn was eager to finish off his food. He loved the taste of syrup and pancakes. It was one of his favorite breakfasts growing up. Having them in abundance here was always nice for him. As he finished, he set his plate down, picking up what was left of his juice. He tilted his head slightly, thinking on her words. He'd thought of it like that once but hadn't really come up with any results. Though now that he was learning more it might come in handy. He'd have to try it sometime. "Yeah, I'm sure it just takes time." He replied, still thinking back on it for a moment.

He smiled, seeing her cheer up a little. It was good that he'd managed to distract her from such thoughts. He honestly didn't think he'd manage another session of hypnotism right now. Least not for a little while. It sounded like she enjoyed flying. He'd always honestly wondered at it, though at the offer he had to stop and think. He couldn't imagine why people might deny the offer. He'd always wondered what it would be like to fly through the air without gravity limiting him. It was something he had always wanted to experience. "I don't see why not." he finally answered, trusting that she would keep a firm grip on him while they lifted up. On top of that she'd have to keep him fairly close for this. He liked the thought of that. "I bet it would be pretty fun."
