“Holy Crap!” Gage breathed as they where once again on top of the ground. He was still almost in complete dismay that Kai would lie and say she was about to trap the darn squirrel. She was way to petrified, and they both knew that. Somehow, Gage and Shinji had managed to pull Kai back into reality, that was good, for now at least. Now back to the current mini-crisis. How where they going to get rid of that nu’ cense of a squirrel and his gang of mini-hoodlum ninjas.

He listened quietly as Kai spoke, he knew what he was going to do before she even finished. Gage bent down for a second then bent down to un-tie his shoe. Once he was finished he stood and looked a Kai, “Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing…” He said reassuring her he wasn’t going to do anything out of the ordinary. The question on everyone’s mind at this present moment was, no doubt, what the hell is Gage going to do this time, though, maybe in Shinji's eyes, right about now, Gage also looked so stupid, but that didn't bother him. He was going to gid rid of these noise-makers.

Gage began to walk back to the place where all of the kunai, thrown by the squirrels, had landed. Gage began to walk in-between some of the kunai that where stuck in the ground and used his chakra to wrap his shoe string around one. The squirrels would, no doubt, fall for it, but Gage had to at least make it look real. Suddenly, Gage tripped and fell face first onto the ground. He was waiting, hoping, and swearing, that if Kai missed this chance he was killing these pest. “Wait for it!” Gage said as he watched the squirrels before him.

Gage just laid there, flat, and was listening for something to approach, but not a single kunai. There was a few reasons why Gage heard it coming, for one it was an old beat up kunai, the knicks and scratches would easily make sounds in the air, also Gage was a semi-trained assassin, these un-trained rodents where no match for Gage. ‘Crap! The rodents didn’t fall for it, plan B then…’ Gage thought as he heard the kunai whistle through the air. He didn’t have much time to react, but what happened next wasn’t on anyone’s guess list. No, not even the squirrels would of saw that one coming, but what would it be?

Gage pushed himself forwards a little, so as when the kunai made contact he wouldn’t feel awkward about where it hit him. The kunai missed its first target, but managed to hit Gage in the leg, or so the dumb animals thought. As soon as the kunai made contact, Gage disappeared. He then landed quietly on a near by tree branch; the kunai lay dormant in a chunk of wood.

Gage then reached into his ninja tools bag and withdrew a kunai and a light bomb. He took the kunai in his left hand and chunked it in front of the gang of rodents, then smiled. “Now Kai!” He said happily as he tossed the light bomb down towards the squirrels. Kai would, hopefully, start the possession jutsu before the light bomb hit, the kunai was a distraction, but the light bomb was to speed up the process. Gage turned his head away from the squirrels and listened as the light bomb popped. He hoped that Kai had finally captured those rodents.

Immediately after throwing his kunai and light bomb, Gage would be rather surprised to feel something lightly poke him in the side. If he turned to look, he would find a rather fearsome sight. Five squirrels were beside him on the branch, two on the branch itself, holding up the blade of a rather high quality katana. The other three, were coiled up like a spring standing on each other's shoulders, the one on top of the stack holding the handle of the katana, and the one on bottom standing on the trunk of the tree. About half a second after Gage felt the tapping, the three squirrels would stand themselves to full height, stabbing the blade into his side with rather impressive force.

On the ground with the rest, the squirrels stared at Kai rather oddly. They had somehow all managed to procure rather stylish sunglasses, which they were now wearing to avoid the effects of the flash bomb. The reason they were staring, was because they really weren't quite sure what the girl was thinking. They knew of the Nara clan and it's power. They also knew very well the weakness of that power. They also knew, that even if the boy on the branch managed to avoid the team that had followed him, there was no way he could protect the girl from all of them. "Do it." The leader squeaked to his followers, the rodents immediately leaping into action as they all went straight for Kai. Within two seconds, the squirrels would pounce on her, with all of their blades aimed for human flesh. If she miraculously avoided death, she would definitely still be in the hospital for the next year or so.

{ Invalidating your last post Duo, seeing as you kind of didn't wait for mine. That's a big no no. Also, once again I'm not going to bother worry about it right now, but you should never use that strategy again. Throwing a light bomb is great for Naras, yes, but only if it's behind them. Throwing one in front of them makes it impossible to create a shadow in that area, so really, this would never have worked even if you weren't fighting 51 rodents.

I'm not really sure if Kagemane would even work on a rodent anyways. Now, since Cobra PM'd me asking me not to kill you guys, you should probably stop posting for the night, until he can get on and save you. He did tell me if it came to this that he would.

Squirrel Overlord

When the shuriken hit the katana, it did indeed knock it from the squirrel's grip, throwing it, and them, to the ground in a tangled mess. One of the squirrels, with slightly better reflexes than the rest, attempted to catch the flying blade. It succeeded, kind of, as it found itself suspended by it flying through the air.

On the ground, the attacking squirrels found themselves in a similar tangle up as their target was intercepted by a blur, and vanished below the ground once more. They quickly recovered, spinning around to where they heard the target come back up again, and charged once more. Before they could get past the leader however, they were stopped as he held up one paw to the side, the universal symbol to halt. He could sense the power of this person, and going by the human's ranking system, this man was at least a jounin. He trained his followers well, but not that well.

As the charging force stopped, the leader took one step forward, leaving it's cleaver embedded in the ground beside him. Reaching up to his face, he slowly pulled off the sunglasses, before snapping his arm towards Shinji, pointing the glasses at him and Kai. "We want the girl of course! She has disgraced our sacred tree with her incessant napping, and has dared to insult the order of the holy acorn!" He chattered angrily, before pausing slightly. "But you obviously do not wish to sacrifice the wench. Give us the sacred tree, and we will halt!" With the final words, he swung his arm around once more, pointing towards the tree, where one of the younger squirrels had procured a flag emblazoned with a golden acorn, and was holding it up from the highest branch, waving it proudly in the air.

{ Indeed. He's the only one that doesn't realize humans can't understand him. Luckily, he uses a lot of motions when he speaks. }

" Awww man, This has gone to negotiations? " Kenji said sighing, Jumping out of the tree, and discarding his shirt, Hat, and even his pants. However this didn't leave him nude. Infact he was in ninja attire, except for the face mask, which he didn't particularly like to wear. " Well, there goes those clothes. " Kenji said sighing. " Hey, ask if We can have weekly training exercises with them! " Kenji asked laughing. " I thought this was a fairly grand spectacle! " Kenji said smiling as he walked towads the group of Shinji, Gage, Kai, and the Squirrel mob. " Plus I Need to Have someone to spar with if I hope to ever get any real training in. I mean, I've only ever heard of us in peace with other Villages, so the chance of us getting any real combat training is fairly low. " Kenji said laughing as he stood next to Shinji with his hands behind his head, on leg lifted a bit so that he stood on it's toes, and his smile glistening in the sunlight.

"But...." She smacked her head to the ground in a tired notion. "How was I suppose to see a glowing acorn symbol on my special tree I planted?" She stood up and glared at Shinji for several minutes till she turned and sat on a boulder. "Why...why couldn't it be deer? Deer are nice....but noo it had to be squirrels taking over my tree." She thought. "And I'm not lazy! I'm simply tired alot."
