 H a w k p a w“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”___________________________Hawkpaw darted over to Thunderpaw as she fell into a coughing fit. He pressed his flank to hers for support her in case she fell.
“Thunderpaw! I told you you shouldn't try to speak.” He hissed, but in a concerned way. He turned to Nightflame with a grim look in his golden-amber eyes. “She's right. If your prey acts strangely, don't eat it. Kill it with your paws and bury it. We had a squirrel do the same thing to us not too long ago...A disease is spreading among the prey.”

(( Yeah, it only affects mammals...I shoulda said that. >> Oh well! No harm done. D: ))
[I stood quickly, feeling embarassed that Hawkpaw was, once again, helping me. I felt like I was taking something from him more than I was giving.]
"I'm fine," I whispered quickly, then did a double-take that I had the ability to speak.
[It seemed I could speak barely above a whisper now, but it hurt too much. I winced again as my throat throbbed painfully.]

 Brightspirit padded alongside her mate. "Where do you think we are?" She asked. Riverfang smiled. "Somewhere close to Stormclan. I can smell them" Brightspirit smiled and kept walking.

 NightFlame turned to the apprentice. He swiped his tail over her mouth. "Shhh. You shouldnt try to speak. Something is wrong with your throat." He said. "Relax we havent eaten them. We were trying to find a way to get rid of them. Thank you for your advice, soon-to-be-great-warrior." He said. He turned back to SilverStar to see if the leader had any advice as well. He glanced at IceStorm and she nodded. He saw IceStorm enter the medicine cats den and bring honey for thunderpaw.

 IceStorm padded next to Thunderpaw and gave her the Honey that was inside a large leaf used for carrying. "Here." She said. She wasnt going to stay near thunderpaw and make sure she is alright. *no... thunderpaw is a growing warrior. besides it seems to me she wants to be the one who stands on her own.* She thought to herself. She returned to NightFlame's side and looked up at her leader.

[I blinked, startled at Nightflame's sudden compliment. I felt slightly embarrassed, but dipped my head to show my respect.
I swallowed the honey that Icestorm brought, feeling it soothe my throat. I relaxed slightly.
I needed to remember to thank Icestorm. She seemed to always know the right way to act...she had let me stand strong. I quickly fluffed my pelt, shaking bits of twigs lose, and waited with everyone for Silverstar's response.]

 SilverClaw saw that a SeaClan cat had come. She padded over and heard what the cat had to say. It was obvious IceStorm and NightFlame were friends. She noticed Thunderpaw had a sore throat and saw that IceStorm had helped her. SilverClaw looked at Nightflame, he was a dark colored cat, with fangs prodding. He seemed the quiet type. SilverCla waited with everyone else for her leaders answer.

[Moonkit watched the following events with growing interest.]
"Mm, infected food you say?" she murmured as she padded to the clearing joining the ever growing group of clanmates.
[Her pelt brushed against Silverclaw's and she nodded respectfully to the warrior.
She kept walking and weaving among the steady crowd until she found Hawkpaw and Thunderpaw.
Feeling that they all reconciled with each other, she plopped her butt between them and stared intently at Silverstar.]

H a w k p a w“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”___________________________ Hawkpaw watched the crowd of warrior gathering around them with wide eyes. Being surrounded by so many big, strong cats made him feel like a kit. Yet, he had to do a double-take when he saw Moonkit weaving her way towards him and Thunderpaw. To his surprise, she sat down right between them. Sighing, he turned and gave Moonkit's ear a quick lick and smiled teasingly.
“Feeling better now?”

Brightspirit sat down. "Should we wait for them to find us?" She asked.
Riverfang sat down beside her. "Well, if we go into the camp, they'll attack us. So, yeah, we should wait"
Brightspirit sighed and looked around.

 [Silverstar's gaze held Nightflame's. Her green eyes held wisdom and thought. She started slowly.] "As we have not much experience with the Madness, we have little to offer. Though, I have some knowladge of it. If any cat tastes blood that was infected, they will go mad. They will develop an extreme bloodlust, and could eat catmeat. I have seen it before." [Sadness flooded the gentle she-cat's eyes as the memory of NightClan's Darkclaw and Nightstreak flooded her mind. She shook her head and spoke again, with authority.] "tell Mosstar to not have any cat eat any animal with foam around it's mouth. And, we have not yet found a cure, and there most likely isn't one, so all we may do is either watch our Clanmates suffer or put them out of their misery and let them join StarClan. This is the only advice I can offer." [Silverstar nods respectfully to the bold warrior, and steps back.] "Very well."

"Of course! I feel like I could take on any warrior -- or any snooty apprentice -- and win!" she teased, eyes gleaming.
[Moonkit batted his ear.
Slyly, she weaved away from him into the crowd.
Surprisingly, she found herself basically weaved between the cats directly facing Silverstar.
Her green gaze swept across the row of cats, landing on Moonkit.
She suddenly felt very uncomfortable.]
I'm still a 'kit' but in body and mind I'm an apprentice! she thought determinedly.
[She raised her head to stare back at the silvery she-cat.]

NightFlame listened to the leader's advice. His piercing blue eyes held no emotion what so ever. "I see." he blinked. ""Well, any advice is better than no advice. I suppose the incedent with NightStreak that happened recently explaind what could happen to a cat... or any animal for that matter." He said. He dipped his head to the leader. "Very Well then. Until, we meet again." He said. He turned and padded out of camp his tail waving farewell. He looked to the skies for a moment before leaving camp. *this place... it's strange to me, yet all of the cats here seem to be devoted and hard working* He closed his eyes and padded onwards. *I hope i can be as loyal and as strong as they are* He thought to himself.

[Silverstar swung her head and looked directly at Moonkit. Almost defiantly, the white kit returned her gaze. Silverstar's eyes softened, and couldn't help a look of admiration for the older kit cross her eyes. She turned back to Nightflame, waiting for a response, her eyes shining and her ears pricked.]

IceStorm heard what her leader said. "here. I'll walk you to the border." She said. She padded alongside NightFlame wondering what he was thinking when he had suddenly stopped at the entrance and looked up. His muscles were rippling as he padded forward, he seemed like a strong muscular cat, yet quiet and peaceful. IceStorm knew they were going to learn a lot from each other.
