Mathias blinked at Kiro's words, and wasn't sure what to say as he walked away. He turned when he heard Tia and nodded,"Yeah, pretty amazing...but I wonder what he meant by that..." he frowned, perplexed. The whole reason this organization was formed was to fight fiends...what could be worse than those?

"I'm not so sure myself." Tia replied to Mathias. "Hmmm..." She murmured while she stretched her body out. Apparently she was very antsy.

Enyo approached William with Issac who was also nearby. "Can you tell me the details of what you know about this?" She asked very calmly.

((Hope nobody minds, but I'm gonna skip to morning.))

William awoke the next morning in his room, which was fortunately not one of those that had been destroyed the previous night. He had spent several hours the night before organizing and directing the cleanup of the debris and damage from their battle, and the relocation of people whose rooms had been destroyed. The Captain of the Guard, Luther Arnol, had been happy to have the help.
Will had recovered his weapons the previous night, his katanas were both fine, but his kukri and one of his throwing daggers had been destroyed. He'd have to be sure to get new ones commissioned with Smith Ammerfell. Maybe it was time to talk with Master Bingham again, too.
Will rose, dressed, and armed himself with his remaining daggers and his mother's katana. He then left his room and made his way to the cafeteria where he helped himself to a large plate of eggs, bacon, and toast; and sat down to eat. He'd see if any of his comrades showed up to join him, and if any of them were assigned any new missions. He was sure that administration was having a fun time reorganizing teams again, which was a constant ordeal with the Corps.' rapid member turnover rate.

(Not at all. In fact, that might get us movin' again.)

Isaac rolled out of his bed, stiff as a board from 'helping.' "Damn it... Freakin' William and that idiot guard..." Isaac said to himself. Shuffling over to gather his clothes. He needed to bathe, but it almost hurt to even breath. He barely even had the strength to lift his vest with the pistol inside.

After bathing and dressing himself, he reluctantly left his halberd behind. He couldn't even pick it up. He had even had to think about whether or not he wanted to throw himself down the stairs to save him the pain of actually using them. But he figured he wouldn't want to get up then, so he suffered on his way down.

Shuffling into the mess hall, he was bumped by a few people, and grumbled at them. Not really wanting to waste the energy to scream at them. In the line for food, Emma, of all people, walked up behind him.

"Heh, hello little boy. You look rather sore this morning."

"Shut up..." Isaac mumbled. Trying to pick up a tray. This really wasn't working out for him. His arms would tense up, but he couldn't lift it. Emma reached over him and picked up two.

"Here. I'll get you a breakfast that you need." Emma said. "I'll even pay for it. Go find a seat."

Isaac just continued to grumble and shuffled away. Shuffling over to William he sat down and let his head hit the table. He didn't move from there.

Emma came walking out from the line with two trays packed full of food. Setting one down next to Isaac's head she took the seat next to William. Isaac's tray was filled with salted meats and two glasses of milk. "You'll feel better faster if you eat all of it. And yes, I realize they're not exactly 'breakfast items.' But they'll do ya' good." She was answered with nothing but a groan. A shaky hand rose to the table top and dragged a piece to his face, biting a piece off he chewed slowly. Emma chuckled. "Well, good morning Will."

Off in one of the other dorms. Train stirred. He was incredibly well rested, and was actually feeling... Good. Happily he prepared himself to go eat. He might actually be pleasant today. "Wow. This is the best I've felt in a long time." Train thought. He had slept almost since he Tyrone, and Enyo got back. He was stretching as he moved towards the mess hall. Entering, he actually smiled at the group of hunters at the table. It was quick, but it wasn't his usual smirk of 'ha ha, you suck.'

The Chamberlain walked briskly down the hallways, looking niether right nor left and pointedly ignoring any attempts to hail him. Most thought the personal aide to Geofram Valenti was a nose in the air priggish fellow that thought his station put him well above others...and those that thought so were very correct. The Chamberlain stopped before the door of Kiro as instructed and rapped smartly. The Hunter should be up by now, but the Chamberlain knew how soldiers and their ilk tended towards laziness. He longed to get back to his regular duties, but had been given explicit instructions to bring Kiro before General Valenti straight away. He tapped his foot impatiently, even though it had bee na few seconds and rapped his knuckles upon the door again, harder than before.

Kiro pushed aside his almost completely destroyed door, opening the best he could to see the Chamberlain there. "What is it? I take it quite a few people want to see me." Kiro asked. Kiro's killing intent and irritation from last night had subsided and he was now more lazy and tired of dealing with people as well as talking about Axis which was inevitable.

Enyo had been assigned a new solo mission already and had left in the morning. Her new team will have to deal with her absences from time to time for now on since there are missions only meant for her to complete because of her skills with information and obtaining knowledge.

(( You can move Kiro to the people he needs to talk with since I have no clue. ))

The Chamberlain sniffed in disdain at the Hunters tone, but stayed rigid and professional," My Lord General Geofram Valenti has sent for your presence. You are to accompany me to him at once." He spun on his heel and didn't bother waiting for a reply. Kiro sighed and followed, what choice did he have besides ignoring such an important summons? The Chamberlain lead Kiro through the compound, guards and other hunters looking at him curiously, unsurprising after yesterdays events. Before long they stopped before a large oaken door, and the Chamberlain knocked sharply, not opening the door until a faint voice beyond the thick portal bid them to enter. The Chamberlain swung the door aside but did not enter, instead stepping back to allow Kiro access. After Kiro stepped inside, the door closed behind with a solid impact. There before Kiro stood General Valenti, his hands clasped behind his back as he looked out a window at the morning sunshine. He was dressed in a long coat the reached to his knees, black material with fanciful patterns woven throughout with thread of gold. His hair had long gone gray, and was thin on top, but long in back, pulled back into a tail and held by a ribbon. His pants had been tucked into knee high cavalry boots that were polished until they gleamed. After a moment he turned to regard Kiro, and took him in for a moment, his blue eyes calculating,"I am guessing you wonder why I summoned you, and before we get to that....no, this is not about yesterday." He smiled then as he watched Kiro.
Kiro didn't show any outward reaction to Geoframs words, but he could tell Kiro was relieved somewhat at this news. Geofram stepped behind his desk and looked through a few pieces of parchment before continuing," Actually, I called you here to send you out on another mission...not exactly special but not run of the mill either. I'll give it to you in a nut shell. We had been contacted by a small community about a possible fiend presence in the area...a smaller holding called Yules Crossing. We dispatched a single junior hunter by the name of Gregory Thames to follow up the claimes before we commited an actual team. As you can imagine, the country folk can be jumpy and if we sent Hunters to every claim of a Fiend sighting....well, suffice it to say people can be mistaken. Gregory has yet to return from his mission. At this time we are not too concerned, as Gregory has been admonished before for taking extra time on missions for personal liesure. I chose you personally to travel to Yules Crossing and retrieve Gregory Thames for disciplinary action. You can take a full team of your choosing if you so wish, or go yourself alone if you wish." Geofram then sat in his chair behind his desk, Kiro, not given leave to sit, remained standing.
"I am sending you for two reasons, Hunter Kiro. One, after yesterdays...surprising....activities, I believe it would be best to get you out of the Citadel for a spell, avoid akward questions from your fellow Hunters. Second, also because of your performance yesterday, I believe you are well suited to the task. Now, do you have any questions or concerns, Hunter Kiro?" Geofram leaned forward expectantly, hands folded before him on his desk.

"Good morning, Emma." William said. "And good morning, Isaac." William said with a slight smile as he took a bite of his breakfast. "How you recovering from last night?" William knew well that Isaac had worked very hard the previous night, probably harder than he'd needed too. He figured the young Hunter was trying to prove himself to his new comrades. There was nothing wrong with that, but the only place that it truly mattered was in the field.

Matt walked into the cafeteria, in his usual good spirits. He was dressed in his full gear, though his gauntlet's knuckle blades were stored in their special satchel within his sash. He walked over to the food laden tables and piled a plate high with pancakes, sausage, bacon, and a couple of eggs and doused all of it in syrup. He gathered his utensils, checked out with the lady at the desk, and made his way to the table with the other Hunters. He set his tray down next to Isaac and took a seat.
"Mornin' guys." He said cheerfully and heartily began attacking his breakfast seemingly at random, rapidly devouring mouthfulls of whatever his fork happened to skewer from his plate.
He paused the voracious destruction of his food long enough to ask. "So, anybody get an assignment today? I didn't get anything. It's a little disappointing. I was thinking maybe I'd check the archives, and see if anything new and interesting came across."

Emma nodded to William, and then to Matt when he walked in. Isaac made no noise, his first groan was more than sufficient for the whole day. The boy was simply not having any of it today. Emma grinned, "I doubt I'd be the first to know if my team has an assignment. I think they'd go straight to Gene. I'd either forget or something along the way..." Emma said. "On that note... William if you guys have anything I don't think you should take him," Emma advised, indicating Isaac. She poked him in the top of the head then, resulting in yet another groan. "Drink." The woman ordered.

Isaac slowly started attempting to get a drink. It would happen, eventually. This was about when Train waltz in, something that never happened. "Good morning everyone!" Train said, Emma shivered. "Oh sweet lord..." She muttered. "Happy, not deaf Emma." Train scoffed on his way by to get his own breakfast. It was a few simple pastries and some toast.

"How is everyone today?" Train asked, not that he really had to. He could see their emotions, though Isaac's was quite evident without the ability to read auras.

Kiro sighed at the situation. He was lucky to be let off the way he was and was given special permission to take his own team for a new mission. Kiro already knew what the team he wanted was though. "I would like to bring my own team of William and Issac like last time. We have some experience together now and and I was continue building on that." Kiro answered truthfully.

"Yeah, you're probably right." William said, glancing down at his obviously still exhausted teammate. "Like I said, though, so far we haven't gotten anything. So there's probably no need to worry anyways."
"Maybe if nothing else we can all get in some practice." Matt said. "Anybody willing to go a few rounds in the Arena?" The rowdy ruffian asked.
"I will." Said a voice from the cafeteria entrance.
Matt and William turned their heads, despite the fact that they both recognized the deep basso voice, and laid eyes on Tyrone.
"It's been a helluva long time since we've gone toe to toe, Ty." Matt said as he rose to his feet, seemingly having forgotten all about his remaining breakfast. He seemed enlivened, and it was obvious just looking at him that he was brimming at the prospect of this potential match. "Sure, you're still up to the task?" Matt jabbed.
"I'm pretty sure. But who knows, maybe since last time you'll have managed to catch up to me a little."
"Alright, big man, let's do this!" Matt said.
"Oh, God, somebody call Kimiko." William said to the other Hunters at the table, with a note of exasperation in his voice.

Geofram nodded sagely and smiled,"Very well, I approve your request on the spot, no need for official papers on this, as the senior members of the order already know of the situation. If you have additional questions you may ask them now, otherwise my chamberlain will have your mission information ready for you when you leave my rooms, which will include a brief description of our missing Hunter as well as a map to Yules Crossing."

Kiro turned to leave the room but stopped at the door. "I actually do have one question, did the two bodies from the attack last night get burned?" Kiro asked. He was quite concerned about this one detail so he figured he made sure it was taken care of. "Also, I would like my room repaired when I get back." Kiro added slyly.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 29, 2010 7:16 pm

Geofram quirked a brow at Kiro's last words,"Hm, if you'd like your room repaired in a timely fashion I might suggest that you put in a request form to our head carpenter and mason for materials and labor....in the mean time if your worried about security there are plenty of empty dorm rooms still available to be filled. You would be more than welcome to move your belongings to any vacant room, just remember to notify the main register of your room change. As for your other query... strange you should ask. The female should be being put into the crematorium this very morning, but the male however...his body seems to be missing."
Geofram frowned as he took up a sheet of parchment and scanned the document,"The guards on duty over the corpses reported no incidents out of the ordinary...the body appears to have vanished. Rest assured I will be putting forth a full and thorough investigation into this matter. In the meantime Hunter Kiro, ready your team and return to us with all speed and safety." Geofram went back to studying reports on his desk, clearly he had given a dismissal.

Kiro left out the door and closed it, stopping just outside in the hallway for a moment to think. He didn't really care about his room, it was actually a joke and didn't mean much by it though the other issue bothered him. So they got HAX series still, huh? That's going to be annoying in the future. Kiro thought and walked off, beginning to make his way to where he assumed everyone else was already, breakfast.
