So really in reality to not get circumcised vs. to get circumcised really isn't better one way or the other?? Its more a matter of preference??
Hmmm......ok. Then I guess we'll just make a deicision based on what we do have. I just don't want the baby to be deprived of anything.

Hikari Aijuntani So really in reality to not get circumcised vs. to get circumcised really isn't better one way or the other?? Its more a matter of preference?? 3nodding That's right. The hospital gave me paperwork saying the exact same thing. There isn't compelling evidence one way or the other so it really is personal preference. That being said, we did it as well. Chris really wanted it, where I was more inclined to let things be. I let him have the final say on that issue though, as it seemed to be really important to him.

Yeah Hikari you have to make due.
I mean for instance it's proven to lower the amount of UTI (urinary tract infections) a male child will have over a life time.
BUT on the other hand, 1 in four adults has a UTI and doesn't know it and it clears up on it's own. Getting a UTI could be as easy as taking a bath for JUST too long an amount of time.
On one hand, circumcision shows to cut down the chances of their female sexual partners getting cervical cancer.
BUT on the other hand that's only because having the foreskin keeps the p***s moist and makes it easier to contract HPV (which is what is REALLY giving the women cervical cancer). AND if your child, as an adult, gets checked frequently for HPV, and his partners are keeping up on their yearly exams can catch HPV before it cause cervical cancer.
So you see what I mean?
The Benefits, are good...but not like LIFE SAVING OMG! So it's a hard decision to make based solely on the information.

Caffeine- Yeah, I was reading in a magazine that up to maybe 2 cups of coffee a day is still a safe amount of caffeine. I do have my occasional soda or glass of tea here and there but I try not to get carried away. whee
As for the cicumcision, I always planned on have my baby circumsized simply for the reasons already stated by Nopenname. I never really questioned it. 3nodding

30 days!! I'm so excited for you!
This is so funny, I've been ALL into cereals lately. Anything sweet and almost kidlike I've been going for. Reese's puffs, rice krispie treat cereal, heck even Frankberry seems to call my name.

Luna - lol, me too. Fruit loops, Trix, and Crunch Berries. sweatdrop
Has anyone else either ever felt like or gotten to a point for they feel kinda depressed over simply not being able to wear normal clothes??
I seem to feel that way all the time now. I just want to get back into my old worn jeans or my pretty hankerchief dress I used to be able to wear. I'm tired of maternity shopping, and having to wear the same clothes all the time cuz as I get bigger only certain maternity clothes fit later on.
Its hard going to my husband's unit picnic thingies and seeing all these other wives/girlfriends/moms who seems to be pencil thina nd can wear whatever they want, and here I am with limited clothing choices and just feeling big and in the way. And I know its just me "feeling" that way because no one has made me feel that way.

Oh, I hear you on the sweet cereals! I LOVE fruit loops now. xd
As for the whole being depressed about wearing normal clothes, I feel like that pretty much all the time. Recently my insecurities are bringing out the worst in me and I think about my husband leaving me for someone thinner and prettier who doesn't have an enormous pregnant belly. I've always heard of the insecurities a pregnant woman feels like on TV shows "Honey, do you think I'm sexy?" and I used to laugh about it but now I know exactly what it feels like and I hate feeling this way. Poor hubby's been sucking it all up (all the arguements we get into about how insecure I am) and trying his best to make me feel better but it all seems to go in through one ear and out the other. BAH! stressed

Mmm, fruit loops! I go on food jags all the time now, I'm like a bad kid! lol
I can also completely relate to feeling all blah, and big and awkward. I was just thinking about it the other day, and I came to this conclusion. All the worring I did, despite my boyfriend's constant support and love, prevented me from enjoying the majority of my pregnancy. Also, People expect pregnant women to gain weight and get rounder, and some men even find it to be a big turn-on, so why should we trouble ourselves feeling bad about a natural thing?
I know from personal experiance that it's easier said than done, to put aside all of our body-image issues, but it's worth forgeting about for 9 months, just to take one more thing off our 'concerns' list. Because god knows there are many things to get concerned about during pregnancy.

lol Just wait until you hit month 9 and none of your maternity clothes fit either. That's when the real fun begins.
My last two weeks, even my huge maternity shirts and pants couldn't cover my belly and man, was I ever a grouch.

I don't have very much maternity clothes because I was able to wear all my normal clothes until I was closer to 6 months. That's when my belly suddenly started growing and I've quickly outgrown that clothes. It's frustrating. I too have been wearing a bunch of the hubby's big T's. It seems they're the only thing to fully cover my belly and they don't ride up when I stretch! whee

Torture! gonk Today is my brothers birthday and guess who made the cake...me. So now i have to sit here and stare at it till tonight gonk it smells so good.. i just want to eat it! Now! I did my moms birthday cake saturday and had the same torture. Its neat that theyre birthdays are so close but too bad that when igo to the doctor this week ill probably of gained 10 lbs lol. Other than that im enjoying our cooler weather this week although its going up now =( im so happy only 8 weeks left *does a preggy dance* How is everyone? **And side note i decided to circumsive my first and this one will be too. No real reason except some people i know said its harder to take care of uncircumsized and that sex was painful and he decided to get circumsized later on in life and it was the worst pain ever. He wished his parents had done it when he was a baby so that he didnt remember xd But again its all preference i got the same paper work that its recommended by my hospital but theres no 100% evidence either way *shrug*

What I don't understand is if hospitals/doctors recommend circumcisions then why don't most insurance companies cover it in their health plan?? I mean, it would be one less thing for them to pay on if someone decides to indeed to choose not to have their child have one.
But its an elective procedure, regardless of a hospitals' recommendation. Well, sorry lung cancer due to years of smoking is by all technicalities an elective, and its still covered in health plans.
But we've pretty much decided a yes for a circumsicion, and then we'll just pay off te hospital bill as it comes.
Yeah I've started wearing my husband's Ts too, simply because they're rommier than my maternity shirts. And they strech with me wear my maternity shirts don't.....they just get shorter and shorter. Most of my shirts, even the long ones don't go over my belly anymore. Ya know that little inset for maternity pants/short/etc for the belly?? My shirts don't even cover that whole inset anymore. ^_^() I spend most of my days in jammie pants unless I have to go to school.
Oh! scream My school has this business dress code right? Well, when I did my maternity shopping I tried to keep that in mind but also keep in mind that I have to be comfy in these clothes during the times I'm not at the school. My school is docking my professionalism grade because my maternity clothes aren't "business"-like enough. My whole attitude is: you buy me business clothes, then I'll wear them. stare But I don't have money spilling out of my pockets to buy those types of clothes, and I don't think I should be penalized for it.
Erg, anyways, AJ and I are looking at getting a Costco membership to buy baby things in bulk to save money, like diapers, wipes, etc; on top of food items too. So far reseacrh I've done sounds like a really good idea.
