Japan is depressing.

http://www.okada.de/archive-japanasitis/enka/enka.html

But I really do hate trying to read through Japanese dictionaries and encylopedias that don't actually explain s**t. :/

Enka is cool.

I love it, but the individual who wrote that page is right-- so painfully right-- in regards to the imminent extinction of Enka from Japan. Its seen as something of the older generation; young enka singers are really few and far between.

I can't feel the same depth of emotion in the modern artists as those from a decades ago. Makes me sad.

Can I shed tears of a "moral" xd dilemma? Gokusen's final episode of the season (a 90 min special) falls on the night of our pal's all night live in Irinaka. NOES.

I might end up asking my host family to tape it for me... because I cannot live without the drama that apparently last week stole about 30% of the viewing audience. eek

I AM A SLAVE TO TV.

Now here's to hoping that I don't get lost going to Tokuzo in Imaike tonight. Its far from the subway and I really don't know that part of town well. gonk

I will do it... for great justice. Just like how I will have to go to Yaba-cho and my friendly local Tower records to pick up a copy of Headphone Children before my Art-school live on Wednesday.

Oh, god, p***s festival tomorrow.... Huge exam split between wednesday and thursday and paper due on friday. Still don't know how much/where prof's concert/excuse for binge drinking will be on Saturday...

gonk
