*Synge nodded slowly, still feeling bashful for no reason she could think of. She stopped to think for a moment and stayed silent. When you mentioned her sleeping alone she sat up all the way on the couch.*
Oh, yeah, that was a good idea. Er, honestly, I didn't want to sleep alone after that...

I wouldn't have wanted you to sleep alone either...that was pretty scary.

*Synge played with the blanket while you talked, and once you were done she nodded in agreement.*
It sounded pretty scary, heh. I don't know, I feel fine now though.

He watches as you play with the blanket, likely a nervous habit. He nodded gravely.
Yeah....it was very scary...I was really afraid that I might lose you...but you're here now so the fear is gone. Just promise you will trust me to help you if this happens again...

*She looked down as you talked, and noticed that she was playing with the blanket again. Letting go of the blanket quickly she wondered why she kept doing that. She looks back to you and watches your serious face for a moment, and thought that your serious face was quite different from the usual awkward one. After a moment she realized she was staring and quickly nodded.*
Eh, right. Of course! Who else would take care of me anyway? But, um, are you always so concerned over losing people you've just met...especially "dangerous" ones? Heh...
*She looked away nervously, remembering how he had once called her a dangerous person. Then another thought came to her and she stood up, and was glad to see that she had the strength to walk on her own.*
Oh, I would really like to go shower and change. It looks like I'm strong enough to make it today too. So...will you be around when I'm done?

Ben noticed that you were looking quite closely at him but didn't mind it at all, he wasn't considering this to be a rude gesture at all.
I guess that you would be the first dangerous person I have taken so close to... *chuckle* but...I think its because I see a light in you that used to be bright...if I am lucky, you will show it to me someday.
He decided that this was vague enough not to cause undue concern or damage what he had started and watched as you got up, he prepared to help you but was pleased when you didn't need help.
Sure...I think you can make it. I will grab some food, run some errands, and such but I should be around when you get back.
He nodded and then grabbed your remaining clothing articles coat and shoes, and handed them to you. As you walked out, he followed until you reached the stairs to make sure you were as strong as you seemed.

*Synge blushed and looked away as you spoke. A light? What was he talking about? Silently she took her clothes and started walking out of the room and to the stairs. She didn't say anything until she was at the bottom of the stairs.*
Er, thanks for everything. I'll see you later...Be careful, ya know?
*With that she turned and went up stairs quickly and went into her room. She felt very alone being in there but got to work on showering and getting ready for the day.*

*Synge finished showering and dried herself off, checking her body for any damage from yesterday's incident. She took a long look at her wounded eye, not surprised to see it hadn't really changed much from the day she received the wound. She covered it up with a new eye patch and sighed. After getting dressed she made her way downstairs to see if anyone was around today. She was a little sad to see the place empty and considered going to see if Ben was in his room, but decided against it. She grabbed a glass of water from the bar and took a seat on a stool to wait for anyone who might appear*
((Sorry it took so long. I had to stay at the school for registration stuff and blah blah blah, but I'm here now!))

(( It's okay, I understand that life has to happen sometime when you aren't RP'ing! ))
Ben had a great brunch in downtown Durem and had managed to make his way back to his remote tavern. As he traveled back to his tavern, he realized how remote it was. Admittedly he felt rather awkward walking around so many people but he also craved that many people would visit his tavern from time to time. As for now, it seemed to be just himself and Synge.
Speaking of Synge, he happened to see her as he walked in to the tavern. He noticed she was clothed normally now and looked fresh which seemed both good to him and also not as close, almost as though the woman that he had helped might be completely different than the one he saw now. Regardless of this, he waved politely as he puffed on his clove smoke and sat down near her.
Good afternoon Synge. Good to see you are feeling better.

*Synge surprised herself by immediately returning the smile to Ben, an action she had rarely performed lately but suddenly felt so natural doing. She was glad that he had returned quickly so she wouldn't have to be alone in the tavern for too long. She took a drink of her water and tried to think of something to say.*
Hi, um...where were you out to today? Anywhere interesting? Advertising the tavern perhaps?

Ben was very happy that you had seemed to keep your pleasant demeanor, often he had found that he might find you happy one moment and see you cross the next. He welcomed the smile and it increased his own smile.
Advertising? Heh, I wish...there are way too many good taverns downtown for me to do that. I guess people don't like to "escape" from the world as they used to. No, I just grabbed brunch and a few more supplies we might need were you to have any more events...how have you been?
Ben wanted to quickly pass the difficult subject on to lighter notes but he had to say the bad for the good to work. He gently took a drag off his smoke and pondered going to visit the stage but waited for now.

*Synge noticed your increased smile and wondered if she may have been the cause of it. Her own smile and quickly faded, but a calm expression was left behind.*
Er, I guess I don't know much about other people, but I still like to escape from that world. I have a feeling I'm not the only one either. But, yeah, who knows. I'm doing good fine though, nothing to worry about here.
*She looked a bit uncomfortable talking about yesterday, she didn't want to tell him about the dream world that she felt she had been trapped him. Really she was just hoping to forget it.*

When he saw your smile fade, his did too... that was it, she was going to be just like she used to be. He resisted the urge to say something about it and made sure his own expressions didn't allow a glimpse either.
Well...I guess people will come here when they are ready. Eh, I was hoping that the boathouse area would draw more people in but it seems like it only pulled that cook in. I suppose that's one good thing.
He could also see the hesitation you had in talking about the days events. He wasn't happy about the nightmarish events but seeing a healed Synge was a wonderful accomplishment. He had glimpsed your softer side and figured that was as close as he could ever get to it again. He shook off the emotions he was starting to attach and decided to focus on other matters.
That's good then...glad to hear it.
He then looked back at the stage and took another puff off his smoke, in a few more puffs he would be done with it.
