Both Brock and Tony stepped into the arena of the gym each of them on the other side of the other in the trainer box. The referee blew his whistle again and raised a flag and anounced. "Leader Brock vs. Challanger Tony. Two pokemon may be used. Let the battle begin!" The Ref made a swishing motion with his flag signalling the begining of a match.
Brock grinned at Tony from across the gym and threw out one of his pokeballs. "Go Geodude!" The rock pokemon appeared on the rocky field ready to do battle.
Tony just smirked back at Brock and motioned silently for Weed to go forward. Weed imediatly jumped forward happily doing a little happy dance at being able to help, or maybe since Weed was always happy.
"Geodude vs. Oddish start!" The ref anounced.
"Allright Geodude tackle attack that Oddish." Brock ordered from his side of the arena.
"Weed dodge it and start to release your Sweet sent." Tony comanded in a soft voice.
Geodude came charging at Oddish in a stronge tackle attack but Weed just danced out of the way and imediatly began to release its Sweet Sent.

Kasiya laughed. "I probably shouldn't be divulging his secrets, but he uses Electric types. Some of them are hard to damage." Kasiya admired her new badge, suddenly extremely excited about going onto the third.
"You know that badge lets you use Cut, right?" Jaeshan said, coming over to her. He held a grey disc in his hand, and was smiling. "I have here, the HM for Cut. You should teach it to Seto, since he's the only one who can learn it."
"Oh, you'd do that for me?" Kasiya asked, taking the HM. She released Seto, and set the disc. Soon, he'd learned the move, and was looking happy about it. His disposition also seemed to have changed, as he walked around mewing, the Soothe Bell ringing softly. "Now those claws have a big use," she said, bending down to pet him. She reached up and felt her scratches - they still stung a bit, but would be mostly gone in a week or so.

((So good to be back from Vegas. The trip was uber boring, 'cept when I won a life-sized Eevee. >>;; ))
After the Magma grunt had ran for thier lives she crept out of the bushes looking for Mike. He seemed to have gone off somewhere again. "At this rate we'll never get to Dewford." she said to no one in particular.

"Well, it most certainly seems to be coming around," Nina commented, half-smiling. "Hopefully you won't need to worry about being attacked by him anymore."
Mihoshi, who rarely was seen out of Nina's arms, trilled in agreement. Anna stayed silent. A moment later, Nina looked over to Sabrina, who was equally quiet. "Something wrong?" she asked her sister.
Sabrina shook her head. "...No. It's nothing." She cleared her throat a little. "Shall we be moving on...?"

Geodude upon catching a whiff of the Sweet Sent coming from Weed closed its eyes and happily began to sniff the air completely relaxed. Tony just smiled at this and quietly comanded Weed to start absorbing the health away from Geodude.
"Geodude no! Stop smelling the air!" Brock shouted from the other side. Geodude upon hearing his trainers voice Geodude snapped out of it and pushed Weed away from him but it was to late. That had used up the rest of his energy and he fell down in a faint.
The ref waved his flag in Tony's direction. "Oddish wins Geodude has fainted." Brock recalled Geodude and taking another pokeball he sent out Onix. "Onix vs. Oddish match begin." The ref blew his whistle again.
The Onix roared loadly as the match began and imediatly he tackled Weed sending the smaller pokemon flying into one of the rocks startled from the attack.
A worried look came over Tony's face. "Come on Weed shake it off and begin your dance again." Upon hearing his trainers encoragement Weed shock himself off and a determined look came over his small face small scraches on its body. Tony smiled at his strong little grass pokemon and gave the comand for him to preform a Sweet sent again.

Brock grinned predicting this attack and shouted out. "Onix! Raise your head above the Oddish!" Onix gave a loud roar as it raised its head sucessfully avoiding the attack.
Tony frowned before an idea struck him. "Weed run up Onix's back and use Sweet Sent up on its head followed by an absorb attack." Weed nodded a bit and ran over to Onix and jumped on its back and began running up it. When Weed reached Onix's head he let out a large puff of Sweet sent and began to aborb Oniz's energy and restore its own health. Unfortunatly for Weed though Sweet Sent didn't work quite as well on Onix as it had on Geodude and Onix began to thrash around eventually filging Weed off his head and sending Weed into a rock which knocked Weed out.
Tony winced and imediatly recalled Weed into his pokeball. "You did a good job Weed." He said softly as the referee called out for him to send out another pokemon.
Without even waiting for her trainer to send her out Phoenix had run into the arena and was looking ready for another battle. Grinning at his pokemons actions Tony silently comanded Phoenix to preform another Swagger attack and just dodge whatever Onix did after that. Again Phoenix glowed and his step once again aquired its swagger again.
Onix roared angrilly as the Swagger attack took a hold of it and he imediatly came smashing down into the ground in an attempt to squash Phoenix who just barely dodged the attack.
This kept up for a few more moments Phoenix just barely making it out of Onix's enraged attacks towards it. Sudenly an idea struck Tony. "Phoenix run up Onix's back like Weed did and preform a Rock Slide attack when you get to the top."
Phoenix trilled in acknolagement and jumped up onto Onix's head as he smashed down again and with a loud trill she let lose a mighty Rock Slide attack using the many smashed rocks around the room. One of the rocks striking Onix's head knocked it out and the ref blew his whistle.
"The winner is the Challenger!"

She sighed and walked into towrds the beach once more. She hid behind a tall tree, a place no one would look. She quickly changed into her bathing suit and crept out. She releashed all her Pokemon and they took a swim or splashed around in the water.

She jumped in herself. the water was rather cold, but she didn't mind. The day was abnormally hot and the water felt good. She floated with her head up and let the current carry her. Nightmare made she the current didn't drift her off too far.

Jumping up happily Tony ran over to Phoenix and picked him up from Onix's head and gave her a hug. Phoenix just looked happy and trilled before squirming out of Tony's arms and going to settle on his shoulder.
Brock had called back his Onix and was now standing in front of Tony. He smiled and handed him the Boulder badge which Tony took happily. "You desearve this. It was a great match and I am sure that you will make a great breeder one day." Tony just smiled up at him and thanked him. "Are you sure you don't want to go out and eat with me?" Brock asked one more time a hopeful look on his face.
Tony just stared at him for a moment contemplating the offer of a free lunch before deciding against it. "No not today. I don't really feel like being hit on at the moment. Besides what would people say if they found out you had went out with a guy?"
Brock simply shrugged. "Who knows. You certaintly look enough like a girl."
"Ok. Im leaving now." Tony said his voice clearly annoyed and he turned to leave but was stopped by the ref.
"Here is your TM and winners money." Tony greatfully took the money and placed it in his bag along with the TM. He waved one last thanks at Brock before leaving the gym and heading towards the Pokemon Center to get Weed and Phoenix checked out.

Ivy and Karri splashed around in the shallow parts of the water. The two became great friends. Nightmare and Ebony played together the pair having fun too. Nightmare and Ebony played an odd version of marco polo, which was rather funny to watch. Ivy and Karri splashed each other with the cold sea water laughing and having a grand time.

Mitsu floated in the water for a long time hoping that Mike would show up so they could go to Dewford. Haours passed and still no sign of her companion. She dragged herself out of the sea and dried off with a towel she retrived from her pack. She threw on her normal wear and watched her Pokemon play.

"I suppose it would be logical to head south to Vermilion City, although we can now take a few short cuts thanks to Seto's new ability to cut," she smiled. Seto purred happily at the mention of his name. "Jaeshan? What about you?" Kasiya asked, looking back at him and giving him back his HM disc.
"I think I'm going to check out the Cerulean Cape and do some training," he replied honestly. "I want to see if I can capture any new Pokemon while I'm up there."
"Okay," Kasiya said. "Call me to let me know how your progress goes," she smiled. "Before we head out," she turned to Nina and Sabrina, "I need to get Shocker healed. She's pretty beat up after that battle."

Stumbling out of Viridian Forest into the dusk perhaps half a mile from Pewter City, she was relieved to see its' light in the distance. Despite her clear-headedness while in the woods, she had still managed to become lost for hours and the sun had just set while she was in there.
"Well, we did it, guys, we made it to Pewter City...." she said to her Pokemon. When she recieved no response, she realized that Belle and Sandy were fast asleep; Belle in her packsack and Sandy hanging onto her shoulder. Jenna quietly chuckled to herself as she listened to her pokemon's soft breathing and the crickets chirping in the long grass nearby. Hitching up her back and taking a firm grip on her near-indespensable walking stick, she hiked the last mile or so to Pewter City with high hopes and sore feet.

Ryka stood up and clapped. "Great job, Tony!" She was sitting on the sidelines with Len, watching Tony, tring to get some ideas. She exited the Gym and followed Tony to the Center.

Regaining it's senses, Magnemite fired a Sonicboom at Nitro, The grass was torn from the ground as a miniature tornado shot from the small Electric Pokemon. Picking up rocks and grass, it flew towards Nitro at an alarming speed. It struck, sending him back a few feet, but he quickly got back on his toes and countered with a Metal Claw.
"Chaarmeleon!" As his claws struck the attacking Magnemite, it seemed to only leave small scratches. Confused, the Charmeleon stepped back, but was quickly hit by Thunder Wave. Soon Nitro was on thr ground, sturggling to move, the Magnemite hovering overhead.
"Magne." cried the Magnemite, quite pleased with himself.
