"Yeah that's...going to be a tough job. But we'll be around to help out. I'm..technically still the head of this place. Well...it's more of a placeholder until you feel fit enough to take over."
Liv chuckled seeing Deora being manhandled.
"Oh I...uh..actually don't like coffee that much. I drink it with like...4 scoops of sugar and some of milk when I really have to. I know, don't give me that look. It's barely coffee at that point. I usually just have some Green tea......also with sugar....but like...2 scoops." Liv confessed

Rikki Tikki Travi She spun around, her eyes completely white. He was startled at first, and wondered if she had some sort of visual power similar to his dark eyes. When she shook them back to normal he asked, "A-are you okay? Your eyes looked like the exact opposite of mine when I look to the future." “Sorry… it’s a new ability I stumbled on today. I can see souls not just in the dreamscape. Yours looks like your old self, you haven’t fully accepted this new form is you, have you? Like a stranger to yourself?… At least that’s a theory I have.” She blushed a little and wondered if there was anything she could to help him adjust.Alec then listened to her explanation and hypothesis. He looked down at his hand and mused, "Actually, you probably hit the nail on the head. I've always been sort of chronically sick. So much so that I didn't really know what healthy felt like until you brought me back to life. It all feels so alien, and now I look like I could run a 5k. It just happened so fast. Is this what it was like for you?"
She took a deep breath, “Long story short, lots of emotions, focusing on everything else, didn’t really grant a chance to get a real good look at myself until last night in the closet mirror, kinda felt I had to adapt quickly and just roll with it y'know? Even last night when I look at my hair and ears I feel like it's an Inu-Yasha wig and I could take it off to reveal my ol' fox ears and red hair, heh. Not going to happen any time soon.” she smirked.
Then it occurred to her, “Oh yeah, don’t think I brought this up … when it happened… I had a vision of an older version of myself with nine tails … I hope that's not what ascension will bring me when the time comes." she rubbed her arm, "Nine tails just gives me a head ache just thinking about it. What's someone supposed to do with all that tail?!" she snickered a little hoping to land on a more lighter note. "I have a theory that each tail represents ten years and that's why I have a tail and a half. Did you have anything like that happen when you ascended today? Vision-wise, that is?"

Legio stared at the infinity eyes. Curious. He knew what they were from the information he had plucked from before.
"I do not need to blink."
Beautiful. It was all he could think when seeing the birth of creation itself. He saw EVERYTHING. Everything that ever was play out before him. His own pupils dialated until there was barely anything besides his pupils in his eyes.
Colors, elements everything unknown to mankind flew past him. He wanted to reach out and grab hold of those eons that were condensed into moments. Hold them tight and examine everything in it. To take in all that he could. Then there was chaos. Chaos of emergence. Birth and deaths of stars. Star Systems formed and died. Planets and Solar systems, Life. Then his origin appeared and the loop began before ending with where they current resided.
He took a step back as his mind was shoved back into his body. It never left but it was a similar experience. He merged the vision he received from Eclipse with this one to complete the picture in his mind.
"Interesting." Legio responded, head slightly cocked It was clear he was in deep thought.
"Where did it come from? The before?....Something else?" He mumbled to himself.

"I will. But you know as well as I do that she can take care of herself."

Have fun.
The two of them exited the room and shut the door behind them. Leo looked to Dawn and asked, "What do you think she meant by that? About getting attention. Does she think people here want to hurt us?"
"I dunno. Everyone I've met here seems pretty nice."
With a mutual shrug, the two of them followed their devices toward Gidget's lab to meet with Trinity.

Heather grinned and shook her head. "I should've known better than to suggest you'd drink something as basic as coffee. I'll fix 'em both. Shouldn't be too hard."
And it wasn't. Heather had spent a few years taking care of children at the matron house. It didn't take her long to figure out how to make tea while also putting on a pot of coffee for her and Deora. In less than ten minutes, there were two cups of coffee with triple cream and triple sugar and a cup of tea with two scoops of sugar set on the table.
As if on cue, Deora stepped out of the bathroom with her hair completely dry and with a clean set of clothes.
"Perfect timing, I got...how did you do that?"
"Hm? Oh, the hair? I used my power to remove the water without drying it out. Is that mine?"
Deora sat down and took a careful sip of the hot brew. Her brows twitched, and she took another sip. "Okay, this isn't that bad."
"Told you." Gloated Heather as she took a seat. She looked up at Liv and said with a wink, "Let me know how it is. This wont be the last time I make tea for you after a night of fun."

As they approached the door to Gidget's lab, Alec looked to Kerana and requested, "Please don't twist yourself in knots thinking about what you almost didn't do. What's important is we're here now, together. The first completely free day we have. I'm going to find the best spot for our picnic, with the shadiest tree to relax under after we've had our fill."

Lumen overhead Legio's mumbling and replied, "The unfortunate truth is that no one knows. Not even our predecessors figured it out. But we do have a few theories."
"It could be the waste left from the birth of the universe. Nothing is done without some form of waste or vestigial leftovers."
"It could've started out as somethin' simple and small. A creature that grew with each livin' thing it devoured until it became massive enough to consume entire planets."
"Someone or something could've made it and lost control"
"It might be a living vessel for something that dwells deep inside of it."
"Or it could just be an apex predator that thrives within the infinite expanse of space, and we are it's prey."
"No matter the origin it poses a threat to all existence, and it needs to be obliterated."
"So now what?" Damien asked impatiently.
"Now we wait for Legio's answer. He either gives up the biomass in exchange for a soul, or we end his existence along with ours."
"To be clear, you could keep the powers you've obtained should you so desire, including shape shifting, but the part of you that feeds and repairs itself from living flesh would be donzo. Hell, you could even give up the other powers and be given a real badass power all your own. Become your own individual. Just so long as the devouring s**t ends."

While waiting for the others Trinity was checking her emails, texts, and video streams of possible entrances. "Looks like everything is quiet." Half telling herself and half saying it to let Theo know. She started browsing social media and noticed something was trending, #lifegoals? There was an image of Myth carrying her to her room. She smirked to herself and sighed to herself, "kids these days". Text to Gidget Guess what's trending? [shares attachment of her in the arms of a dreamy tanned bartender with
ash-blond hair that was flying with a pair of sandals with wings which
done in a style of a renaissance photo] Not sure how Theonis would react or if he even looks at this stuff 🤷🏻♀️
I swear every time I have a brief chat with Myth it tends to blow up
on the social media side. Shippers have been working hard getting
me and Myth back together (smh) She looked to Gidget to see her reaction.

Gidget looked down at Trinity's message and shook her head. She replied...Text to Trinity At least your trends are somewhat innocent, if a little creepy. This is what your hashtag overtook this morning. [Shares attachment of Gidget and Ako leaving his apartment. The picture was decorated with several red arrows and a circle around her with respective comments.
"Over 1 month of being together! Follow link for Giko highlights!"
"Big smiles?! What's this?! Is Gidget glowing?! Could there be a baby on the way?!"

It’s social media. Odds are it’s from one of
those groups like “The Vixens of Valhalla”
or “The Heart-Throbs of the Halls” or just
random shippers.
TBH …
I kind of like the attention. Makes me feel
like a celebrity 😎 Though they tend to
refer to me as the Taylor Swift of
Valhalla with #TayTayTrin for
obvious reasons 🙄
Eh … don’t really pay much attention to it.
Usually, Kerana would text me about it if
there’s something about me or something
I should be aware of.
Speaking of Kerana can’t help but worry
about her. Usually, she was one I ended
up having to be saved from one thing or
another. Now she’s an essential part of
the fight ahead. I’m tempted to have
her sit on the sidelines to keep her
safe but I know I can’t with the
fight ahead. Not sure if I can
keep her safe, just hope the
training and her boon will
be enough.
On another note…
Got to say, if she is having trouble
getting used to Alec ascending
imagine how Alec will react
when she ascends… heh

When he mentioned he did not see this coming even with his power Kerana shrugged, “You’d think, right?”
She listened to him about foxes with nine tails shapeshifting, something occurred to her. Her hands initially looked different when she had changed. She initially thought she had to adjust to how she would use her smartphone because her digits were more claw like at the finger tips and a similar thing with her feet. Yet they both look normal now, Could I already have been doing this without realizing? If so why can't I seem to do the same with anything else except my digits… She blushed a little regarding his comment about her ascention True that may be … I'm just not in a rush to grow up … yet fate has other plans … at least at some point within the next six months.
After she shared her guilt and how terrible she felt about almost not bringing him back, he highlighted what was important, the present, not what almost didn't happen in the past. They are together now because of what she ended up doing. This ecouraged her to step closer to him and hugged him tight granting her a moment to listen to his heart. It calmed whatever lingering doubt she had about before. They parted, she dared to look up at him then blushed.
She looked to the door and thought about the eyes that will look at them, and the gauntlet of judgement that would await them "People will look at you differently, look at us differently. Y-you don't look like a teenager now but I still do. Funny thing is you’d be the one to worry about this sort of thing and I tend to come along and say something like ‘Don’t worry about it. It doesn’t matter what they think’. Yet here I am … feel like such a hypocrite. So much easier said than done. This may be silly… this seems scarier than knocking on Death's door." She took a deep breath and reached for his hand knowing she’d want him by his side no matter the challenge epic or the small worries of a teenager being judged for her choices, "Alright, let's go." They opened the door and entered.

Theo looked at the two ladies on their phones and the facial expressions they made.
"Ladies please, you're barely 3 feet apart. Do you really need to text to each other?"
He covered his mouth and yawned. "I'll eh...be right back. Bathroom." Theo said and left the room. He didn't even have a chance to go to the bathroom yet after waking up.
Ripples were vanished from the area around Ravan was laying despite them being everywhere else. It was only natural after all. A large body of water with plenty of movement within.
Slowly from the water a shape rose. Mimicking Ravan's own position.
"Hello Ravan."
"Huh that's...useful." Liv responded to Deora being able to...dry herself hands free. Trying to tea she was pleasantly surprised. By both the tea and Heather's comment.
"That's pretty sweet." She responded with a wink of her own, implying it's both the tea and Heather.
"Curious. I agree that if the Biomass could be removed it should be. I would prefer not being a....ticking timebomb. So you may remove that. But you speak of becoming my own individual however, what I am now is part of my individuality. These powers included." Legio said.
"I fear I may need all that I posses in my current arsenal to stop the Shadow Stalker. I am highly intrigued what power could possibly be equal to what I currently posses."

Theresa had just gotten done making a giraffe sculpture from some metal she had seperated from her body when Alec and Kerana entered. Gidget had informed her of who they'd be seeing a lot of in the future. The skinny dark boy, Alec. And the happy fox girl, Kerana. She was especially happy to see Kerana since the fox girl was nice enough to open a tasty food thing for her.
She enthusiastically ran up them and chirped, "Hi Alec! Hi Kerana! I got taller and more grown up! *gasp* I'm taller than Alec! But you got all musclely!"

"Hey Theresa." said Alec as he looked up to Theresa, who was in fact an inch taller than him. It wasn't much, but it felt like a lot to him. "You sure are...and I sure did." Alec responded with an embarrased smile.

Heather was pleased to see that Deora and Liv enjoyed her mornings brews.
Deora looked up from her cup and made a face at the couple. "Oh God...you guys didn't do it while I was passed out right next to you, did you?"
Heather choked on her coffee and spit it back into her mug. She caughed and sputtered while she tried to catch her breath. A few stray flames burst out of her mouth as her face tirned beet red. "Jesus Deora! Of course not! Finish your coffee! We have a meeting to get to!"
After they were done, the trio made their way to Gidget's lab and entered just a few minutes after Alec and Kerana. "Hey, sorry we're late. Deora was feeling a little sick."
Gidget raised a brow at Heather's statement and then looked at Deora. "I'll bet. Something tells me she learned a hard lesson about 'eating' too much."
Deora looked down at her feet and nodded.
"Good. Everyone's here. We'll start in earnest when Theonis finishes his business."

"Oh yeah. Damien, we really appreciate your patience and help with getting the eight together in one place. We just didn't have the time for it to happen the way it was supposed to. Farewell, and enjoy your new life."
"Wait, what does-"
Before he could complete his sentence, Damien was gone in the blink of an eye. No dissipation or anything. Just blinked out of the white void.
"Wh-...where did he go? What did you do to him?" Fenris asked with equal parts anger and fear.
"We gave him exactly what he desired. A chance to experience the human condition from zero. In a few minutes he'll arrive in the maternity wing of Valhalla's medical ward with the other newborns."

She shook it off after Theresa made her observation then sensed Alec feeling a little short. She thought it was silly for him to feel that way in comparison to what Kerana was dealing with. The kitsune smirked and decided to attempt a tease “Yeah he got all musclely.” She said as she poked his bicep then his stomach she wasn’t expecting it but she noticed the was much more resistance compared to this morning. Of course what was I expecting? >.< Part of her was expecting it would have been more like poking a marshmallow, like he was this morning. Trinity approached Alec then pat his shoulder like a fighter would welcome another “That’s one way to work on those gains, huh?” she said with a warm smile. “ I went through a similar transformation when I first came here. If you want to exchange notes sometime let me know. Kerana can come too if she wants.”
Then she heard the other three come in her ears slopped down her hugged her tail hiding her face in it behind Alec. Sorry Alec, I’m still a blushing mess and they’re going to make fun of me. She couldn’t help but think she would embarrass Alec because of her blushies.

Legio was thinking. They all sounded interesting but some effects could already be created with his current array of powers. But before he could respond they seemingly erased Damian.
"It seems you are all further detached from emotion than I am. You did not even give him time to say farewell to the people he cares about. That care about him. Not even the time for him to process what would happen. And they say I am a monster."
"I have decided to keep what I currently possess. After that display, I cannot say that I trust any of you." Legio stated and looked over the Eight.
Liv chuckled at Deora's remark.
"I can be very silent."
After the tea, she got dressed and wanted to comb her hair, put on some light make-up but...none of that was necessary it seemed. Her hair was already perfectly modeled and putting on make-up would somehow make her look worse. "Huh....damn."
"Yeah....yeah Rydia needs to have a talking to as well." She responded and looked around. She was surprised at the tall girl. Who was that? Then her eyes went over Alec. She'd seen the picture but this...this looked so much better.
"Well hello there. Someone filled out in all the right places." She said with a wink to Alec but mostly looked at Kerana who was hiding behind him. Liv looked...rather smug when saying that." You two are adorable together."
Theo finished his business, washed his hands and splashed some water over his face. Looking at the mirror he talked to himself.
"Alright....lets see what she has to say. Stakes keep on getting bigger and bigger these days huh..." He sighed, dried his face and made his way back to her lab.
"Alright, morning everyone." He said as he entered, looking around, spotting the rest. Saying he was surprised was selling it short when seeing both Alec and Liv.
"Dude, nice." He said to Alec then moved his gaze back to Liv." I can understand Alec but you?"
Liv shrugged and flipped her hair a bit.
"I know right? How do you improve perfection? Not that much had to be changed it seemed." Liv said and threw an arm around Heather's shoulders. "Right babe?"
"Hmmm....is this going to happen to all of us?" Theo asked, but mostly to himself.

As everyone walked in, Theresa was doing her best to put names to faces. Liv and Heather she already knew from the day they all met. She'd actually rode in on Heather's back. Gidget had told her that they were light and fire metas respectively. She figured the third one must be Deora, the water meta. Then that was everybody. Shadow, light, life, death, fire, water, wind and she was Earth.
Ako had told her that she should stay quiet and listen when everyone was there. She hopped over to Theonis and stood by him.

Alec was also a bit of a blushing mess. He was not used to the amount of attention and praise he was getting. His only response to everyone was a nervous laugh and a shrug. Everyone. that is, except for Liv. When she made a comment about how cute a couple he and Kerana were, he actually smiled proudly and responded. "Yeah, I think so too."
He looked over his shoulder at her and smiled. That wasn't so bad. I guess my imagination was just blowing things out of proportion. Heh, wouldn't be the first time.
Heather blushed and hunched her shoulders. She leaned her head in Liv's direction and rested it on her girlfriend. "These eyes can see it. No one can see the full extent of your beauty but me."
Deora looked at the two happy couples and sighed. It wasn't the first thing on her list of priorities, but she felt a little left out among the three that were closest to her age. Her connection to Heather allowed her to feel what Heather was feeling. Deora tried her best to block it out, but love and adoration are powerful things. She hoped whatever had to be said would draw her attention from her own inner turmoil.
Ako was as astounded as everyone else at the upgrades Liv and Alec had. It was as though they had been made the most perfect versions of themselves, at least physically. He wondered what sort of improvements would be made to himself and Gidget if they were one of the eight. He looked to her and snickered. The idea of her suddenly growing five or six inches amused him greatly.
Gidget looked to everyone and took a deep breath. She caught Ako laughing at something out of the corner of her eye. She looked at him and mouthed, "What?"
He waved his hands and mouthed back, "Nothing. I'll tell you later."
Gidget rolled her eyes playfully and returned her attention to everyone. "Okay everyone. As your probably guessed, we're here because of what happened this morning. I have no idea what's happening, but Trinity has a little inside information to share with us from Silhouette."
Gidget looked over to Trinity and asked, "How is she, by the way? Any better from yesterday evening?"

Ignis flapped the fingers and thumb on his right hand in a mock talking motion and drawled, "Blah blah blah. You're awfully quick to judge for someone who hasn't even had a first birthday. I mean, yeah we're crazy, but we're not totally heartless."
"As Lumen said, it's going to take a few minutes for his new life to begin. Had we done as you suggested, he'd already be there."
"These eyes don't just see the past and future. I can see the truth hidden deep within a person. A truth they might not have even realized. What will happen is what he wanted. There was only one person that he wanted to see. He's talking to her right now."
"I must say that I am surprised, Legio. An emotional appeal is not only a logical fallacy, but also a character trait that is highly unlike you. You chided Freya, and thus Fenris, for their decision protect those closest to them by risking their own life. Yet you felt a hint of genuine anger at what you perceived to be the unceremonious termination of your other half."
"Maybe the people of Valhalla have rubbed off on you. Good. You certainly could use a bit more empathy. Offers still on the table if you want it. Though I understand if what just happened left a sour taste in your mouth."

Damien looked to his Cassandra and took a deep breath. He may not have known when he asked, but upon his return to Valhalla he understood exactly what was going to happen. He knew his mother would be furious, but he hoped she would understand. He would be free of the monster that slept inside of him. He would have a chance to grow, learn, laugh, love, and live like any other human. It was what he wanted.
He approached her from behind and cleared his throat, "Ahrm. Mom, there's something I need to tell you."
