"First of all, what the Veira describe was far advanced beyond the technology at the time, The logical conclusion is that they were simply Veira in special armor used as a psychological tactic." The war his referencing was defining in many ways, but still nebulous. "I have two questions, do you recognize this man?" he held up a picture of the dead man in the hall way while he was still alive, "And secondly, were there images of tentacles in the vision?"

Fran sat back since she had her own theories and had to wait. She smiled a little at Saska's encouragement.

"Ms, I'll go with you on this one then." he said "If there were Geth on board, we need to know who got them on board, and we need to know why." he told her "An innocent man was carved up on that ship, admittedly a tactic used by the 'Geth' during the Azic war." he stood up "If another Azic war was to break out that saw the same level of violence as the first one, The point is, what you saw may be the clues to finding out what really happened." he told her, looking her in the eyes.

"The thing with the tentacles might have been Sovereign." Fran said out of nowhere. "The lore says that Sovereign came to Jote and lured her into leading armies against the Alliance." she said "Saska, I'm sorry but what kind of violence did you see?" she asked looking at Saska "Was it like a battle between armies?"

Fran hugged Saska to comfort her. Sarge sighed "I trust you, but the war never escalated to the level of Genocide, and Jote, to the best of our knowledge, never got to activate the artifact." Sarge leaned back "If Sovereign was the shadow, Then.." He paused

"It isn't a Viera flagship, It may not even be of this world, given the level of technology." Fran finished Sarge's statement and added on a suggestion.

"Lets not dwell on such grave matters." Sarge said "I would like to give you a monetary reward for stopping him, but the artifact was destroyed and other than that, he was a petty criminal before this." he sighed "I have been given permission to give you the Stratus, The ship he was piloting when you stopped him." he said "The family of the victim who it belonged to, Balthier valett, turned it down." he pulled out a deed "We will fix it up, along with cleaning up the blood stains, and program it to recognize you as the owner." Sarge informed her and handed her the deed.

"I could be your pilot." Fran offered happily.

Fran hugged Saska back "Thanks." she told Saska.

Sarge smiled a little "Take care of it, it is one of the most advanced ships, even on par with the top of the line ships in the imperial fleet." he said.

Fran smiled "Lets get back to the academy." she said "Maybe I can teach you how to drive." she laughed.
