I'm not too sure what Curse of the Golden Flower is about either. I just looked up the film on Wiki and found out it's not set in the Tang dynasty, but rather in the Five Dynasties/Ten kingdoms period, which makes it a little anachronistic because there weren't really emperors in that time. Plus some of the costumes the main characters wore don't fit the time period the film is supposedly set in. And yeah Jay Chou is one of the main actors in it. If you've seen the Initial D live action movie you would have seen Jay Chou as Takumi.
I haven't seen House of Flying Daggers but I have seen Hero and just you and Chibito I loved it. It's one of my favourite martial arts films.

But anyway, names aside, *cough* yes, Hero was fantastic. I just thought the colours, how one story is set within another, it was all fantastic. 3nodding I have it on DVD, and I just... yah, I love it. xd Can't enthuse about it enough.

A brief synopsis on the Curse Of The Golden Flower: The Emperor has three songs, his eldest from a previous marriage to a supposedly dead wife, and his second and third sons from his current wife, the Queen. The Queen has been having an affair with her step son (the heir to the throne, technically not her son) for about three years, and her relationship with her husband, the King, is strained, although they both think the King has no idea about the affair - meanwhile, the King is slowly poisoning his wife. The second son is extremely loyal to his mother, and she favours him the most out of her two sons (this is Jay). This son is also the better fighter and tends to lead his country rather than his elder brother; his elder brother doesn't even want the throne. The third son is pretty much forgotten about, and looks innocent and cute on the outside.

That's all what happens at the start of the film, so I haven't given away what happens. It kind of starts in the middle of his war between them all. confused A lot of people die.

I'm hooked onto D.Gray-Man! mrgreen Pretty good with some comedy. lol But not as good as Death Note nor Prince of Tennis...but its quite new...still running at 52 episodes... 3nodding

Yea...but I mean of all the existing animes, lol...my favorite is still Prince of Tennis, Gundam Wing, then Death Note.

The system of high school is different in other countries. Some countries split high school into junior and upper high, whilst others split it into primary, middle and high school. Babi lives in Canada which should have a 6 year high school curriculum. He's in grade 8 now so he has at least 4 1/2 years to go.

Babi: Year 12? Again that's a bit too late to brush up your grammar, as by then everything you do will count towards your university entrance score.
And if Canada has a British style GCSE exam system, even brushing them up by year 10 will be too late. pirate

Well, here everything counts mostly in grade 12. 3nodding all I need is average of 80% so easy here. lol But for Hong Kong University...you need straight A's from grade 8, I believe. whee
