[ Joe : Louis' Heart : Station of Awakening ]

[Music: Duke of Death]

Battered. Cut. Burned. Shocked. Blown aside. Joe had suffered quite a bit of damage in a short amount of time. His armor was dented and chipped in places, his cloak a tattered rag hanging off of him, blood dripping out of the joints in his armor.

All this meant nothing. He still had a god to kill.

Slowly exhaling, Joe summoned up another mist to restore his enchantments. Then he refocused his attention on Chaos. The scion had more opponents now. He was focused on the wrong enemy. It was a mistake he would soon regret.

Flourishing his blade in one arm, Joe sent it whirling through the air at an angle, aiming to cut off the scion's sword arm. Of course, whether his blade hit it's mark in this instance was of no consequence to him. The throw was merely a feint.

Regardless of the blade being parried, dodged, or hitting true, it soon found itself back in it's wielder's hands, appearing in an instant along with him at the scion's opposite flank. As quickly as he appeared, Joe leaped towards his opponent, mercilessly dealing out a rapid series of blows onto Chaos, ending in an explosive parting hew to the being's skull that unleashed a colossal burst of gravitational energy on impact.

Buff's Active: Wall, Haste, Faith, Bravery
Unique Debuff's Active: Deprotect
Actions Taken: Recast Mana Mist, attacked Chaos with Gravity Raid, and then flanked him with Warp Drive before going into a Crush Dance, also on Chaos.
Note on Mana Mist: I honestly have no idea where everyone is on the battlefield anymore and between Nick's wind bursts and my teleporting I'm not going to bother keeping track. Whoever wants the faith buff and asks first gets it.

[ McSalty :: Louis' Heart :: Station of Awakening ]

The man was... gone. Chaos could not even feel his presence in the air.

"My angel... where is MY ANGEL..."

The words came out like whispers on the wind rather than something human, something normal, and it was as if the esper's voice was fluctuating.

John's Magnega pulled Chaos backward, but he held his ground, his expression taut, body twitchy as he looked this way and that. Everyone his gaze fell on felt a chill, their hairs rising, but it was clear he was looking for him and no one else.

"Blood upon the sands... the crystals... crystals..."

The black fog washed over him, seeming to do little, though the Nanoflare crashed down on him with a fury that singed his host's flesh; the cracks around his eyes began to appear over more of his body, what little could be seen with his armor. Sayrike's storm of shards cut and tore at him, but all he did was look around, staring, searching, and standing in place.

"Fireflame deathdestruction bloodgore hateagonyfear..."

The fluctuations verged from masculine to feminine, from high pitch to low, as cycling and changing like the winds in a storm--which was slowly beginning to form in the battlefield, breezes becoming spiraling gusts.

The Darkness pulled more of them into its eternal maw, wreaking havoc on the battlefield, and still Ajora was missing, still gone, still not dead. Then his original, twice over, appeared at his sides and assaulted his host, slicing clear into his arms, making him cringe as the man disappeared again. But it was less in pain and more in barely-controlled... something.

"Home... HOMEHOMEHOME... ANGELSAVEUS..."

The speaking gales were starting to get faster and hazier as he huddled over, taking the blows--there was the barest flutter of breeze about himself, even as Joseph tossed his weapons, the water clone converged, and Zell began to unleash a string of unending blows. It was if he stood there defeated, unable to continue without finding him, without having her.

"Be freeeeee... unbounddestruction, walkthewheel..."

The winds around the battlefield were rife with Chaos' wild energies, spiraling outward and around with his ever-shifting voice. His body seemed to have the faintest of black auras now, flowing around like ethereal liquid. James' brier net snared around him, but he hardly struggled against it, such that when Joe unleashed his string of attacks, he simply stood there, taking them all, absorbing them...

"Damn the old gods..."

... absorbing them.

With Joe's final blow, the sword seemed to sink into Chaos's skull, and while the gravitational explosion still went off, it made little difference as threads of darkness slithered outward from the point of impact in such a rapid blink, lost in the flash of the explosion, that before Joe could react, they were latched around his arm. He could not pull away, could not teleport, and even if he dispelled his blade, the threads had already ensnared his arm.

Dawn may have felt it before she saw it, but such was irrelevant. Chaos appeared in a duplicate of his host behind Joe, manifesting the body from wisps of torrential air. His hands were empty, but he didn't need them.

"E̸̢͚̮̝͓̦̲͖͔̲ͬͣͬA̴̢̫͕̦͔͈̽͗̋ͩ͋̏͜T̠̰̞̦͈͒͒ͨ̈̓ͪ̚͘!̸̴̬͓͍ͯ̔ͫ̀͑͛̀̃͢"

What little peace there had been shattered without warning. They came from shadows, from nothing--dozens of blades of varying colors, from serrated greatswords to sleek hunting knives, all started rushing into Joe's back, soaring forward with such momentum and pressure as to knock him clear through the shadow-clone that dissipated, ripping and slicing at every inch of his body they could find.

And then, before others could react, he let loose an ear-pounding roar that quickly devolved into that familiar glass-shattering screech from beyond--and the dozens of swords became hundreds, swarming the battlefield in all directions. The spiraling air finalized into a tornado, from which the blades exploded and to which they were drawn back, flying at more targets. It was a veritable blade-storm from which there was no mercy, there was no hiding, there was no dodging...

And as it continued without end, a vicious, circling maelstrom of steel, they would realize there was no escape from the cycle of pain.

[ John ; Sayrike ; Matthew ; Riku ; Ajora : Louis' Heart : Station of Awakening ]

As the massive bolt grazed him, reminding him of the chill that pervaded his body just moment's ago, John growled and shuddered, getting back to his feet.

Just in time for hell to break loose. He braced himself, trying to find an opening--and used his own Sonic Maul technique to catch up to Cloud, slamming into his back with a mighty blow just after he assaulted Leon.

Then, in a flash of light and a blur of motion, John spun, using his own momentum from the dash, and pulled his heavy hammer back down on Cloud's form--destroying the man entirely in a cloud of black dust that seemed to dissipate amongst the battlefield.

Sayrike was on her feet, dashing around; standing in one place was just a guarantee that she'd be skewered, and without her mirrors, she couldn't hold her own. Her best bet was simply to dodge--

--and in an unnatural twist of her body, she seemed to slip into the sky, vanishing. She couldn't take much more damage as it was; the healing was helping, but with the storm, it was getting too risky. So she leapt up, found her target... and came crashing down in the Dragoon Jump she learned from Xaldin's Nobodies, striking hard on Anthony just after the resolution of his attack on Bobbi.

I'm done why can't they be done when can we be done are we done yet

Matthew stubbornly maintained his composure, looking around, weaving this way and that to not die horribly and instead just be in horrible pain. He activated Phase Shift to keep himself out of harm's way, though he could feel what little mana he had left slipping away as he planned. He watched as Sayrike came crashing down on Anthony nearby, and decided that to be his next choice: mimicking what he'd seen Leon do, he used Rough Divide to charged forward on Anthony's staggering form, pulling upward in an explosive uppercut with his scimitar, non-elemental blast and all.

Riku got to his feet shortly after Anthony tossed him, and already had his blades charged, ready to unleash a barrage of light energy, when Sayrike and Matthew converged on the man. So with a focused glare, he threw one of the blades forward in a Light Raid, which exploded in brilliance on impact.

He watched as Anthony fell to his knees, his body dissipating into shadow-mist, spreading around them and vanishing.

Riku began soaring around, deflecting what swords he could, grimmacing as others still gouged and ripped at him.

In the midst of the bladestorm, Louis reappeared, rolling as if he'd been thrown off his feet. In a blur of instinct, he slashed at the air in front of him, Slowed as he was, and began to form another rip in darkness for him to enter.

"--and stay down!"

The rip wavered, the magic holding it open growing unstable, and vanished, leaving the ashen Louis behind. He craned his neck toward Ajora and unleashed a hellish screech as the black rapier shifted, like oil, sinking into itself in a dark coalescence until instead his hand held... Dani's chakram. He held it high above his head, the black mists of the battlefield coalescing around it, in it, perverting the weapon with a sickly aura.

Ajora's eyes widened and he rushed forward in a blur, swinging his leg at the arm with a powerful kick. It knocked the man to the ground again, but he still held the weapon.

"Enough!"

Both keyblades came rushing at Louis now, infused with light, and exploded with radiant starbursts.

When the light faded, Louis' body was dissipating like all the rest.

But his hand still held the chakram, which itself was absorbing the mist that had once formed him.

With the echoing, permeating laughter surrounding the battlefield, what was left of the hand seemed to appear like nothing more than a wriggling tendril as it slammed the chakram into the broken station, which absorbed all the collected dark power.

From there, the tendril-formed entities were all gone, and the chakram appeared to be back to normal... though now there was a rumbling in the concrete beneath them.

[[ John used Sonic Maul and Combo Plus!

Sayrike used Dragoon Jump!

Mathy used Phase Shift and Rough Divide!

Ajora used Stop it dammit!

Riku used Light Raid three times!

[Dani:~: Louis' Heart:~: Station of Awakening]

Dani, having no time this time to react, felt a giant brunt of the damage from the explosion when her friends were being taken over. She was being worn down and if she could be honest with herself, did not have a lot left to her. With this in mind she looked over to Yuffie and said “I got a little bit of juice left.” She watched the ninja run away and for a second just watched everyone attacking Chaos.

“I can’t…” Dani thought, “I can’t hurt him.” She then switched targets just in time to see Auron getting trapped in a dark fluid. Dani, in sudden recognition, knew that someone on the battlefield was using a dark version of her moves . With that in mind she put her water casing around the chakram in her hand before throwing the new chakram right at the prison with the intent to shatter it using her own water.

‘****’ Dani thought as she looking around the room as quick as she could, trying to figure out the source of the darker version of her magic. While taking heavy amount of Chaos’ sword damage she finally looked over to Louis and it clicked for her. Before she could do anything, her fears were realized when her chakram appeared in Louis’ hands and slammed into the ground. In that moment, she knew she could not stop what was going to happen.

‘ Guys!’ Dani shouted through the charms as she finally resummoned her other chakram to her side and control once more. ‘You need to get off the platform, NOW! This thing has been using a darker version of my magic. Something is coming out of the Station and it is either going to drown you, knock you off, or pierce you from multiple angles. If you can fly or levitate that would be the best at the moment. I can’t stop it and I am sorry.'

After saying this as quickly as she as could, she looked down at her cuts and the damage that she has taken before slamming her own hands onto the station . Water suddenly erupted from her body and quickly flooded the surface of the entire station. Her own body at this point was soaked in the water that she just let out. She then looked up at Chaos in sadness before starting to move her arms.

‘I don’t have a choice,’ Dani thought to herself before sinking into her water disappearing from view . In that instant a small ripple near Chaos appeared before Dani came outside of the ripple, slashing Chaos with her normal chakram which was protruding black smoke from it. She then dove right back into the water, disappearing from view.

[Author’s note:

{Kyla: Louis’s Heart: Station of Awakening}

{ Warning Mild-Gore, mild-graphic descriptions}
Bios

It was utter Choas, but there was a method to madness.
From what she could follow- no small victory went unpunished- either similar attacks, clones, or possession? Somehow the enemy was turning their powers against them, and whatever way it happened, it seemed more and more inevitable a resist of each’s ability was incoming-

Based on a process of elimination.. some people were still worth coming.
Kyla did her best to keep up the support but now it was time for action- even more so now that swords were slicing at her mercilessly- what started as a few harsh cuts began actual stabbing. Impact tossing her like a rag doll alone! Swords if every shape size imaginable sliced down like an army was just tossing their entire itinerary at them!

Kyla erected a (practical pictomancy) shield which shattered feebly against it- they cut right through as if nothing was there- or nothing worth mentioning.

All she saw was her own red and maybe that of immediate close others. Pushing herself from the twisted position a large horse slayer sent her flying from- she struggled to get up but her legs were shredded, her arms, she felt something slice down from her side-

More and more and more there seemed to be no end to it!! She should be afraid, but all Kyla could think was- ‘cast! Do something! Don’t stop!’
If she could think, she could do something, who cares if her legs were-
SLICE!
‘...something….is…in…..-‘
“..me..?”

She can hear Carbuncle calling her frantically.
“..is this.. real- I..c-can’t remember..now..”
From the corner of her eye- in the reflection of another blade just barely missing her to her side- was that a rapier? Sticking into her thigh, into the ground? Now pinned like a butterfly specimen to the floor she really had to struggle. Everything wanted to seize up- she wanted to scream but her fight and flight was still in effect enough to have her feebly, bleed and draw onto her book now splayed out in front of her. She tried to erect a barrier around her allies. It shattered.
Slice!!
Something smaller? It was in her foot? It might have been a small dagge- SLICE-
Kyla mouth open in a pitch soundless scream something wider struck her RIGHT her back. Somewhere low?….off to one side of her spine-lucky but holy hell the pain. She had only a split second, using meta slash to meet a large sword aiming to cut somehwere too close to her head- it dents as impact hit impact and it sliced into the floor beside her. Curling around into a twisted half fetal or as much as she could, Kyla tried to see if she could reach the rapier in her leg but it was too awkward an angle.
Red was getting into her eyes.
Two voices argued in her mind-
‘you’re going to die.’ ‘Not yet-‘
‘- it’s over, your dead’
-‘ NOT today!’
’ you’re going to die-‘
‘- If I can think, I can fight!’

Back and forth back and forth, the world was red now, her clothes were blooming scarlet. It made her grasp on her pen hard- slippery. Using her finger; she traced with it very sketchy doodles. Trying to knock large swords away from her, from anyone she could still see. Whatever strength she had left- she was going to fight, till she could think no more.
With her remaining strength Kyla tried to push herself up enough to move her upper body above her hand so she could protect her drawing beneath. But every attempt to move was agony, it ushered small cries of pain as the needle refused to let the bug squirm!
But If what Dani said was right, she needed to make something for people to get onto if the surface was dangerous.
Carbuncle screamed mentally, demanding her partner summon it fully NOW- as more dagger rained down on the defenseless artist, piercing her in places she didn’t bare to look. Nothing immediately vital- yet but she was fighting time.
‘Must.. make something, something for them to get on before…’

It was tough enough with the world shaking, but hopefully with her clumsy shaking fingers she could attempt to make constructs, scatter them about for people to use next.

[Axel: Louis’s Heart: Station of Awakening]

Thankfully too unconscious to know the world of hurt.

{ At Last, The World Shall Be Undone. We Come! }
{ Tone Shift ~ 1.25x Speed!: Fallen S.A.B.E.R. }

{ Alt: Guardando nel Buio }

What remained of the twinkling memory shards were unseen in the discord and shadow that consumed the battlefield of Louis' heart. Fire and air tore at their wills while shadows ate at their hearts, and now, with endless sadistic joy, the infinite eyes watched and laughed as Chaos brought forth a tempest of steel. Truly, this was suffering; truly, this was pleasure.

The trembling worsened, and at its crescendo, Dani would have felt the shift beneath her. Aquatic power saturating the stone column bubbled like oil to the surface of her limit-borne tides, rising from cracks and fissures in the station. Demyx would have recognized the essence flows, but Dani would know them, sensing them in the deepest pit of her own mana well—because this was her own energy. Energy she had let loose in the tumult of her emotions, which the tendril-formed Louis doppelganger had manipulated.

And the darkness had seized it for more sinister purposes.

Amidst the blinding lightning, the roaring maelstrom, and the clanging steel, they might have been impossible to notice—opaque shapes rising from the water, humanoid forms manifesting through liquid obsidian. It was impossible to count them, as quickly as they hid amongst the shadows of chaos, dipping in and out of the flood. Some combination of water-clone and shadow, they hunted across the station with golden eyes and otherwise blank masks for faces. Worse, as they stalked like ripples in a torrent, they grabbed the summoned blades of Chaos, taking them as their own weapons before going in for the kill.

They were without number, they could dip in and out of the flooded ground like shadows, and they would not be stopped. They assaulted everyone they could reach with piercing stabs, tornado slashes, and rending tears—including Dani, as she assaulted Chaos.

In the midst of the mayhem, five more people were dragged down, pulled into the water and shadow by black tendrils: Nanaki, Bobbi, Amy, Demyx, and Jenny. And like all the rest, in the midst of the endless laughter and cold of the abyss, the three Earthlings heard a single familiar voice each, from some memory or worse:

“Wake up.”

Demyx was the first to descend, and the instant he appeared, his fingers were rapidly strumming the sitar with a series of ominous, dynamic chords. The various vile-water clones were enhanced beyond their normally sub-par abilities, moving faster, striking harder, and surviving blows that would normally wash them away.

Bobbi fell second, her descent beginning a bare half-second after Demyx’s, but her only action was to draw back a single arrow, charging it with unfathomable amounts of black, icy mist. Before she was halfway to the ground, she fired the shot into the flooded station—and a full-fledged blizzard of frost and cutting winds erupted around them, chilling all on the station to the bone. They felt themselves Slow to a crawl, and magic became significantly harder to attempt.

Amy was the next to fall, and she came out firing so fast that it was impossible to distinguish one shot from the next, letting loose the moment the storm was unleashed; her weapons sounded like a single, endless concussive explosion of force, and her body and arms twisted faster than any mortal eye could keep up with. Each shot was precisely aimed, each projectile was a black, serrated crystal—her targets? Everyone. By the time she’d reached the ground, she’d already fired off so many shots that she had hit every person on the station at least thrice—and she kept twisting, kept firing.

Finally, Jenny and Nanaki fell as one, only perhaps two seconds after Demyx’s descent, and the two were easily heard before they were seen: Nanaki let loose a piercing howl that could be heard over the cacophony of battle, and Jenny began to play a dark, powerful song so heavily infused with magic that any proper mages would have felt a chill even beyond the frozen maelstrom.

With another peal of infinite laughter, the dark abomination swirled above them—ushering forth a massive, darkly-iridescent Meteor that looked more like a rough, black pearl, glowing with sickly radiance, dark hues of every color imaginable and some beyond. Its impact created a devastating shockwave of force and magic that swept across the station like Armageddon.

The briar-like wires released their puppets, reeling back skyward, and as Chaos raged, lightning continued to pelt the station at random.

[[ “Louis” used Tendril Frenzy! Shadow-water clones everywhere!

Demyx used Terror’s Performance! The clones are stronger, harder, and faster!

Bobbi used Freezing Maelstrom! Everyone is effectively Slowed by the cold, and all magic attempts have a 1-in-3 chance to fail outright! DOES NOT AFFECT LIMITS

Amy used Trigger Ecstasy! You get serrated bullets, you get serrated bullets, everyone gets freakin’ serrated bullets!

Nanaki used Discordant Memory! Oh shi—!

Jenny used Hatred’s Meteor enhanced by Discordant Memory! Fffff—

Fire Tornado - If you are within arm's reach of the edge of the station, you still take damage.

Black Storm ~ Thunder Flood Edition – Roll 1-3; if 1, you’re hit directly by a much larger bolt for 8 MAG; if 2, the wide bolt strikes close enough that you still get shocked for 5 MAG. 3 is still a total miss.

NOTE: Because Jenny got yanked, Haste is no longer in effect!

Station Size Disclaimer:

The following are all vaguely rounded estimates for ease.
The station is roughly 60 meters (200 feet) wide.
It is roughly 190 meters (620 feet) around.
The Fire Tornado completely encompasses the station.

Commence Round Five!

PLEASE NOTE: I've stopped listing damage on purpose. If you want an exact number, everything adds up to [number that allows player to decide if they are KO'd, in Limit, or close otherwise, for the sake of their own story or rule of cool]. ]]

[Joseph: Louis' Heart: Station of...]

The monk didn't have long before he felt pain, blades grazing against his flesh until he jerked back. He looked at his shoulder, staring at the blade that was sticking out of it, before he jerked three more times, and fell to his knees before collapsing in an awkward heap, the blades in his body forcing him to fall at a weird angle before the pain rushed in, making the male black out.

{Bobbi, Demyx, Zell, Red XIII, Yuffie .:. Louis's Heart .:. Station of Awakening}

s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t!!! Bobbi swore internally when only one of her arrows did anything to Anthony. Her internal swearing got even louder and more frantic as he charged in, slashing at her throat with that blade made of lightning. Bobbi took a hasty step back, trying to retreat, but Anthony got to her before she could take more than that one step. She leaned back, doing her best to Matrix bullet dodge the attack, but it still caught her, scoring across her throat and burning tremendously.

Immediately, the hand that wasn't holding Taulmaril came up and covered the wound with her Frost Balm, and she thanked her lucky stars that the cut hadn't severed her windpipe, just cut open and burned her skin. It still hurt like a b***h, but at least she was still breathing, and she followed the Frost Balm with a Blizzard Blast at Anthony's chest--just as Syrike struck like a bolt from the heavens, followed by Matt's explosive uppercut.

"Thanks," Bobbi said breathlessly, very little voice in the thanks as her throat hurt too much to use her vocal cords. Immediately she began to seek another target when she caught sight of the swarm of blades sent by Chaos. Just in time, too, as several were heading her way. Bobbi was able to deflect several by swinging her bow, but there were too many and soon she was a lacerated, bleeding mess. Somehow she had at least prevented herself from being skewered, but that was about all she had accomplished. She heard Dani's warning over the charms, but before she could respond, the excrement hit the rotating blades.

She tried to count the shadowy water clones, but she couldn't track on them long enough to get any kind of idea how many there were. Then, with a gasp, she found herself dragged down into a dark, eternal abyss. There she remained for far too long, surrounded by darkness and laughter. But she heard a voice, that beloved voice that had always been there to soothe away her nightmares, and she clung to that voice like a lifeline.

Wake up.

Then she fell, and watched as her body moved of its own accord, a passenger behind her own eyes, as she launched an arrow into the station below. She was back in control soon after landing, and took a moment to reorient herself in the mess of the blizzard, and the blade-equiped Water Clones. She grunted in pain as one of the black lightning bolts struck, and collapsed to her knees. Her vision was fading in and out, but she wasn't done yet. It was only sheer stubbornness that kept her conscious, however.

Demyx yelped in surprise as the first of Chaos's blade storm sliced at him, and he started running, twisting, diving, doing everything he could to dodge the weapons being sent his way. He knew the tones of the magic erupting from the ground, knew them well, but there was nothing he could do to affect them, even with the Little Water Axel's warning. Besides, he was too busy trying not to turn into shish-kebab.

"This isn't cool!" he shouted while dodging, only to hear several blades impact Arpeggio. With a dramatic, horrified shriek, Demyx clutched the sitar to himself and inspected the damage. "My baby! Don't you have any respect?" Fortunately the damage was minimal, mostly cosmetic, and Arpeggio still functioned just fine. So, in retaliation, he played a dramatic riff, and launched a Water Spout directly at Chaos. He didn't have time to do anything else before he was pulled down into blackness. There he remained for what seemed like at least sixteen and a half centuries, although when he found himself falling from the sky, only a moment had passed.

He did not like the music this darkness made him play. It left him feeling cold and slimy inside, and as soon as he could control his own body again, he shuddered. Not that the dark entity was a bad musician, per se, but the musical stylings did not mesh at all with Demyx's. Less dark and ominous, more having fun and slacking off, please.

"I'm gonna need like twelve showers after this," he groaned, only to catch a dark lightning bolt directly to the face. He yelped, and he could smell burned hair. The bolt left faint tingles along his extremities, and Demyx coughed out a lungful of charred breath. He was not having a good day.

Zell was faring pretty well against the mess of storms and blades and bullets. He was able to deflect most of the blades sent his way with his fists, and though several of Amy's bullets got through his flurry of blows, he still somehow managed to take minimal damage from them. The only thing he couldn't punch his way out of was the meteor being dropped on them.

The shock-wave sent him skidding across the station for several feet, close to the fire twister at the barrier. It scorched him, and he ran closer to the middle of the field away from the barrier, just in time to get slammed in the back with yet another bolt of lightning. It sent him sprawling, but he was able to flip himself back onto his feet in a matter of moments, and with that flip he kicked out at one of the blade-equipped water clones.

Nanaki counted his blessings that he was lower to the ground than the others, and as such the blades from Chaos and the serrated bullets from Amy were easier for him to dodge. He wasn't able to get through unscathed, of course, but the wounds he took were lesser than they could have been if he'd been a two-leg. He'd leapt with an intent of attacking one of the equipped water-clones, only to be sucked into shadows while in midair. He writhed about in the darkness, trying to find a source for the infernal laughter, before he found himself falling from the sky. A howl tore from his throat against his will as he descended. He landed next to Bobbi, and caught the discharge from the bolt that took the icy archer to her knees. Instantly he was by her side, lending her a shoulder for support. He could hear her ragged, labored breathing, and noticed that she had one hand at her throat, with a patch of what looked like frost beneath the fingers.

"Are you alright?" he asked, only for her to shake her head in the negative.

.:My throat got slashed,:. he heard over the charms in private-mode. . biggrin eeper than I thought it was, and my ice isn't numbing it as well as I'd like. I'll be okay.:. Nanaki nodded, but Bobbi seemed unable to get to her feet. He looked around, keeping an eye out for any approaching threats, and saw one of the water clones coming in time to launch a Firaga directly at it.

Yuffie wasn't having the best time. Nothing was happening how she expected it to. To be fair, she'd expected them to win ages ago. But no, things had to be getting progressively worse, what with the storm of blades, then the water clones that armed themselves with the flying swords like big, stupid jerks, then there was the serrated bullet barrage, then the meteor, and Yuffie was just having a very, very bad few minutes to top off the rest of this really, really bad day. She wasn't happy. And she was hurting.

The Great Ninja gathered took all of the frustration, the pain she'd been through, and how much she just wanted this fight to end, and gathered it into a cohesive energy that she could use. With a shout born out of the myriad emotions that fueled her, Yuffie leapt into the air, trailing the violet energies of her attack. At the peak of her flight, she hovered in mid-air above the center of the shattered station, and unleashed the energy she had gathered downward in a devastating blast of violet magic. The blast covered the entirety of the station, and nothing could avoid it.

[Dani:~: Louis' Heart:~: Station of Awakening]

Dani watched from the comfort of the water on the platform as everything around her went badly. She watched her own magic get used against her and before she could say anything, she knew what had happened. “He used that much magic huh,” Dani said as she drank a potion as quickly as she could. She watched the clones start to attack but what she finally noticed was that the clones were using her water as well. “Think Dani. Think.” Dani thought as the clones were heading towards her as well, weapons drawn and ready to lash out at her.

In that instant she appeared above the water, standing balanced in the center of it. She looked up at the darkness above her and smiled. “Anything you can do," Dani shouted as the water started to peel away from the platform, making a familiar shape but grander in scale.

“I CAN DO BETTER!”

In that instant, the giant water tendril slammed into the entire station, with the intent to hit every enemy on the field. The tendril just moved through the earthlings not harming them and seeming to move through them. After the slam, the water was gone, and Dani stood in the middle of the station. Her blades spinning rapidly, ready for whatever else this darkness was ready to throw at her.

[Author’s Note:
On Stranger tides- turned into an entire tendril and slammed into the station hitting as many enemies as possible.
Potion used.]

{James ; Auron ; Leon : Louis’ Heart : Station of Awaking}

James’ focus remained on Chaos as his trap ensnared the scion. However, at that point he noted that their enemy just stood there, taking everything thrown at him. And then all hell broke loose. Chaos unleashed a myriad of blades against Joe. Before the corsair could do anything, with a horrid screech the focused attack turned into an absolute maelstrom of blades of all kin ds… Hundreds of them, far too many to keep track of or be able to block. The gunner was defenseless as knives and swords stabbed, slashed, and cut all over. All he could do was guard as best he could to protect his vital spots. When the storm of blades stopped the corsair opened his eyes tentatively, not sure if he wanted to see how bad it was. Pain coursed through his body and he feared he would collapse.

A fairly large knife was stuck into his upper left arm and a short sword in his right leg. His defensive stance had successfully kept most of his torso safe though there were numerous cuts in his side as well as all over. He didn’t even want to look at the state of his comrades for fear of becoming nauseous again. His breathing came out ragged as he tried to focus on their enemies and nothing else. His vision blurred in and out of focus as he fought to remain upright.

Amidst the chaos of the steel storm shadowy water clones had emerged from the water that flooded the battlefield and as they charged towards their respective targets, picking up the weapons summoned and going on the attack. In a last ditch effort to protect himself, the corsair released his hexagun and curled his right hand fingers inwards like claws before raking the air in front of him back and forth trying to swipe at the clones, unleashing the Wolf Fang Fist three times trying to destroy them. At that point the batch of earthlings and canons were taken and controlled. The clones became stronger, and faster, and Mizu unleashed a massive frosty blizzard that chilled the fatigued corsair to the bone, sapping his strength and energy all the more.

’This is just too much…,’ He thought as he continued to fight to stay conscious through the pain and the cold.

More pain then came as at least three bullets struck into James in his right arm, and left leg twice, his left leg buckling from the pain of the shot. His right leg threatened to give out as more blades from the continuing storm continued to slash and cut and more water clones kept coming. The attacks seemed relentless.

’I can’t take anymore of this…’

{{Cue: Blackout}}

The final blow came from the meteor, and the massive shockwave that came with it. The blast knocked the corsair off of his feet, his back slammed into the ground hard, his vision became blurry. The torrent of blades continued all around as his vision faded to black, the pain and injuries too much for the corsair as he fell unconscious, a battered, bloody mess.

James is KO'ed

The Unsent Samurai’s Full Break was unfortunately countered by Anthony’s own attack and before he could mount another attack he was raised off of the ground and surrounded by a viscous, liquid prison that condemned him to darkness, the fluid crushed him, bound him fiercely so that he was unable to move.

However, this crushing prison did not last long, as Dani unleashed an Aqua Raid that was strong enough to break Auron free of the prison and straight into the maelstrom of blades. The warrior monk used his large blade as best he could to defend against the steel hurricane as well as the water clones and everything else that followed. In the end he was still pretty badly injured and he prepared what he felt would likely be his last attack.

The Unsent Samurai held his blade sideways and begun to spin, unleashing all of his energy into the swinging blade. When enough force was built, he unleashed it manifesting his Tornado Limit Break upon the field. He followed up by tossing his nog bottle into the epicenter of the twister causing a massive explosion within which enveloped the razor winds in flames. The samurai hoped that the attack would draw as many blades and water clones into it as was possible doing the most to them as he could.

Leon’s Rough Divide had seemed successful. However, he had made a critical error in opening himself up to a counter attack from the Buster wielder with his follow up attack. A sudden force held him in place as Cloud struck, unleashing an explosion in a move similar to his own Fated Circle. The explosion knocked him back and before he could do anything his friend rushed in to follow up with a Sonic Blade. The gunblader blocked what he could though it did little good. Then the maelstrom of blades came, followed by another round of attacks from water clones to serrated bullets. Leon fought as best he could, blocking as many attacks as he could with his skills. Then the icy cold frost and the meteor struck. In the end he managed to endure it all. However, he still sustained heavy damage.

He surveyed the field best he could, a somewhat difficult task with the chaos that still raged across it. People were falling unconscious, others were barely hanging on and while he wanted to help them with their problems. However, with the steel storm still a threat and numerous powerful attacks being unleashed. The gunblader felt it best to just keep his guard up and bide his time for the ideal opportunity to strike. To restore some of his health though he quickly downed a Potion.

[Kyla: Louis Heart: Station of Awakening]

It hurt, everything hurt, her body felt like it probably was a horrifying mess if someone looked at it. She braced her hands against the ground watching red drip from her onto the platform that shook- and for a moment she contemplated if she would die. If she did- she didn’t want to waver from her task.

Protect her friends.

Everything hurt- she lost count or track of how what was stabbing her, what struck her, what froze her skin- the pain stacked till it just was blinding- then numb. One of the clones that came to rip into her- pushed her so hard, it dislodged her from the surface of the platform she was stuck to, and she was thrown again as tornados engulfed the station. She looked dup into the ominous eye, and seeing those forms of her friend being KO’d one after the other.

She weighed her options for a second- even as Amy’s crystals struck her. She felt one go in somewhere in her side and the other dent off one of her legs.

She could feel a rush of power coming- This was it right- the limit break-
She could heal a few chosen people, but the onslaught was coming- If only she could help everyone!!! Kyla still tried to look around and see who was left that might still stand a chance at surviving the oncoming attack-
They’re real issue was that F**king eldritch eyed horror looming over them. As long as whatever it was was feeding the onslaught- the damage would keep coming.

Maybe she could try and get it to stop? Healing could still come from better casters-

“Fine- “

She didn’t know if this was worth it, but it was better than waiting for death to come and she frankly HATED the way that horror was enjoying this.

[Kyla Activates her limit Break: Birn Strike Level Three]

The pictomancer was suddenly a star burst of color and light- the like some particle canon charging up, fragments of light collected from the air and converged on the mages location. Like that time when they faced a similar horror- Kyla had enough of that things smug entertainment- and decided to give it her all. Hopefully her friend could benefit from whatever happened.
If it was the darkness that was feeding off this chaos, sending one thing after another after her friends- she would try filling it with as much light as she could muster.

She had one shot, and it would be wasted on clones and things that just kept spamming at them-
One shot.
Make it count.

'Please count...'

Suddenly a massive bird like shape made to light erupted from Kyla’s position and made a comet like strike upwards, flying wiht massive wings of burning-shattering light at the many eyed horror.

[ Amy ; Jenny ; Kyle ; Ajora : Louis’ Heart : Station of Awakening ]

Ajora seemed unfazed--literally--as the blades simply passed through his intangible form. He looked around, trying to find something to do, his expression raw frustration.

There!

He reached out a hand, tried to heal Joseph--but was too slow. He cursed.

It took everything in her power to stop herself from screaming as the blades tore into her flesh.

She couldn't play her music, not in this condition. The world was falling apart.

Her eyes glimmered, her body hovered, her magic broke free.

Even as the others let loose their assaults, Jenny called forth the more ancient magicks of Siren, and countless glyphs began appearing over the battlefield, under Chaos, under the clones, everywhere--

And all at once, with the fury of a shattering crescendo, they erupted in violet energy, the station bathed in non-elemental explosions.

And then a blade struck her back, and she fell.

Watching the explosions, he knew it could only have been a Limit Break. He turned as fast as he was able, trying to cast some healing on the time mage--too late.

He cursed louder.

Amy didn't bother holding her curse-laden tongue as the sword-storm crashed all around her, slashing and gouging her left and right. Limit energies flooded her body, a pulse of magic knocking incoming blades away, as she unleashed a single, blinding charge... into the ground.

Suddenly, as Jenny's explosions began to detonate, it seemed as if they were sending out shards of diamond shrapnel straight into the air, an upside-down rainstorm of razor-sharp crystals. They tore threw clones, ripped at Chaos, and assaulted even the Darkness itself, dozens and hundreds of tiny gems crashing into its form.

And then the blades converged on her all the same, and she fell.

Fine, the healer, get the heal--SON OF A--

The attacks went off without a hitch, but before the duo could begin anew, Chaos' assault overcame them both--and destroyed one of the Kyle's outright, his form unraveling in golden dust. The other was barely standing--hovering--as it was.

Dani's assault crashed on the field; Yuffie's detonated it; Auron's seared it; and all the others wrought their own level of hell upon the foes. But Kyle wasn't going to be conscious to see the effects.

Suddenly appearing in front of Chaos, his eyes lost in glowing iridescence, his body shimmering, he roared--

--and energy exploded from his form in dozens of small, blazing projectiles, unhindered by blades or attacks. They spiraled out of him like he was the focal point of Sora's Ragnarok and they converged on Chaos, on the clones, and on the Darkness all, each exploding on contact with the radiance of sunburst and aurora.

And then he was back to normal, greens and golds returning to his clothes, his eyes and hair returning to their look. His body began to limply descend--

--when a dagger slashed across his chest. All manner of liveliness left him, and he crashed to the ground, knocked out.

[We're all mad here...]

Swords rained down upon the battlefield, and the possessed Earthling looked positively smug. Or he would, if not for the armor adorning his body. Despite the attacks he was taking, the feel of steel against his skin, magic crashing into him violently, he did not waver. Did not stumble. He was pushed this way and that, the momentum of their attacks throwing the Esper of Wind around. Chaos, however, would not fall to his knees. He would watch.

They would fall. One by one, they fell.

And it was glorious.

The demigod turned towards Ajora, the former host of the Bloody Angel. His angel. His beloved, the one who had damned him then saved him. A flash of light hit his eyes. He was no longer on the station, but back on the battlefield. During the first war. Chaos remembered the event clear as day, and he let out out a bloodcurdling roar as he ran. His eyes flashed white again, and he was on the station once more, and Chaos blinked in surprise. The times were blurring once again, and he was not quite done with his fun. The Walker of the Wheel turned back, his pedestal waiting for him. He lumbered forward, his glowing eyes peering through the helm and piercing right into the eyes of Ajora. They gave a solemn vow, one that seemed to say, 'I have yet to begun to punish them. This is a mere spark of my power, and you will not escape me.' He was close, all he had to do sit upon his pedestal, and he would be whole once more, and with a clear mind...

He would end them.

Five steps away from his pedestal, he raised a hand into the air. The six blades he had been wielding: his four elemental blades, Garlard's steel monstrosity, and the deceiver's sword; the one he used to fool his mortal host as his 'heartbound' weapon, floated above as an indestructible barrier formed around the scion so nothing could reach him. He turned, cackling madly at the group.

"You have tried...but I...eugh, I have won. You failed."

He turned, ready to step upon his pedestal and become whole once more...

Only to watch Garland's blade and the obsidian whipblade, which had wrapped around the mighty sword, come crashing down full force into the pedestal and shattering it into chunks of stone. After a few moments, the stone turned to dust and faded into nothingness, leaving only the blade embedded in the station. The Walker of the Wheel remained still, staring at what had been his throne, reduced to dust. How had he lost control? He didn't summon the blade down.

A reflection stared back at the god, one of his self. Or rather, of the human whose body was now his. The young man seemed to be amused, a smirk gracing his lips despite the haggard appearance he carried. His lips moved, as if to say something, but no noise came out. But he could hear it, hear his words resonate through every fiber of his being.

Gotcha, b***h.

Chaos' eyes grew bright, as if he were to summon a maelstrom in his fury. The four blades that hovered above, radiating their elemental colors brightly, suddenly shifted and dropped into the god, leaving him impaled by his own blades. With a slow turn, his gaze swept the field, and the torrential rain of swords dwindled and seized, and they like the pedestal, faded away into nothingness. Chaos heard nothing, no groans of pain, no cheers, no conversation, not even the mortals moving about. There was only silence, silence in his madness. Locking eyes with Ajora once more, he reached out with a clawed gauntlet, as if to wrap his hand around the traitor's neck and strangle him.

Two steps forward, and the Scion of Wind, Walker of the Wheel, the King of Samsara, fell to the floor of the Station of Awakening and did not rise again. The obsidian blade would eventually shatter into dust, the four swords sheathed would vanish in a burst of their respective element, the barrier protecting him would face, and the armor adorning the Earthing's body would melt away, leaving a lone unconscious human on the battlefield.

The wheel had been stopped.
For now.

With the culmination of all the magic powered by broken limitations, the clones were destroyed down to the last; the only foe left was up.

[Dawn : Louis' Heart : Station of Awakening]

Everything seemed to hit her at once and Dawn was helpless to defend herself. She cried out on the inside with Garuda's mixing with her own. When it was over with a clash of thunder, she had fell, leaned over onto the ground with a deep cut on her left leg that she was holding. Her eyes were wavering between open and closed. Only the strength and hope she got from Garuda kept her from giving in.

~'I...can't hold... much longer...'~

Dawn shivered, either from what Garuda said or from her own pain, even she was unsure. With heavy breathing, she looked around with tears in her eyes. Everyone was either on the verge of falling or already had. In the pit of her heart she felt a mixture of sadness and anger as she looked up. Though the mixture of her comrades took down the shadow water clones. The true enemy was keeping them trapped inside this hell.

Dawn used her wings to stand and levitate just barely off the ground as she called her Tessen. She glowed with power which she fed into her weapons. With the last of her power fed into her fans she threw them both up at the eyes that stared down at them, unleashing Predator Claws on them.

Before the attack finished, the dancer's wings disappeared in a puff of wind, and she collapsed onto the ground in her normal clothes, face down on the ground just barely conscious.

~'Sunlight... I am sorry...

Dawn let out a small strangled cry in confusion, that could of easily been mistaken for one of pain, as she felt herself feel suddenly more empty.

[ Joe : Louis' Heart : Station of Awakening]

The sword storm hit Joe like a truck. Some bounced off his armor, others found their mark with ease. Worse, they pinned him down and left him prone to the volley of magic that followed. By the time it had passed, Joe was drenched in blood and scorch marks, floating motionless above the station.

He saw as Kyle fall, then Joe, Amy, Jenny, James…

Not even Chaos was still up. The false god was felled by his own blades. For those that were left, they were faced with the many –eyed horror above them.

Joe let out a wheezing chuckle, his blade disappearing from his hands.

“Well, this certainly has been interesting…

Runes began to circle around him, faster and faster until they were like comets circling around a sun.

“Let’s see how it ends!”

With a sweeping gesture, three blades of gravitational energy formed around him and shot up at the monstrosity. Whether they did damage on impact or not, a dome of gravitational magic formed in-between them. The same runes that circled around Joe now circled around the dome, the energy crackling and whirling like the inside of a storm.

Without a word, Joe squeezed his hand and the dome imploded, crushing the creature with pure gravitational force.

As his hand unclenched, his sword appeared back in it and he dropped to the ground. What has left of his armor faded away and he was left utterly drained, coughing up blood as he leaned against his sword to stay upright.

He didn't even feel any of the wounds anymore. All he felt was cold.

‘Atomos?’

No answer. Nothing but his own thoughts.

He smiled sadly and braced. If his attack didn’t work, if this really was the end, then he was going to go down standing, eyes facing forward.

[Joe: Used G-Scathe limit. Joe/Atomos drive ended.]
