Mike walked along a seemingly out of the way path in Lavender Town untill he came across a large opening in the mountainside, a sign was carved into the rock face and read:
"ROCK TUNNEL to Cerulean City"
"Oh great, another dark damp place to add to this town's already jolly atmosphere..." Mike said with much sarcasm. He looked at his Pokemon and thought for a minute. "Well, Shiver, you're a water type, so you should be able to tear through any Pokemon in the cave, and Nitro, your tail can light the way really easily.
"Shell!" Shiver chirped in agreement, brimming with confidence ever since Mike taught him the HM move Surf, an incredibly powerful Water move.
Nitro looked inside the cave, the darkness seemed to go on forever.
"Don't worry little buddy, we aren't traversing the entire tunnel, just enough to do some training and maybe catch some Rock type Pokemon." Said Mike, eager to train his Pokemon a little more.
The three set off into the cave, Nitro taking point and lighting the way.

((W00t! First post on Page 50 (I should get a prize ninja ) ))
While walking in the cave, Mike and his pokemon kept relativly quiet for fear of startling the Pokemon and any trainers that were around.
Nitro looked increasinly nervous, for he wasn't a stupid Pokemon, and knew how strong Rock types were against him.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, Shiver was looking around, hoping for a fight, and an excuse to test out his new move on live targets.

Picking up the pace a tad, Mike and co stayed on the same path, for fearing diversion would lead to getting lost. "Sure is dark and gloomy..." Mike said under his breath.
Nitro, slowing down a tad, moved closer to Mike. Taking his eyes off the path for a moment, he looked at Mike, who's gaze was fixed on the path. He was hoping for some sort of smile, or one of his happy compliments, but none came. As Charmander took another step, he tripped over what seemed like an overly large rock. Falling flat on his face, Nitro rose annoyed. He glared at the rock and threw some embers at it.
To his surprise the rock seemed to flutter at the attack, then erupted from the ground. This was no rock, it was a Geodude.

Nitro, attempting to get another hit off of his opponent, lunged at the Geodude with a Scratch attack. The stike connected, but the Geodude seemed unscathed, and countered by grabbing the Charmander's leg, and throwing him back at his trainer.
"Oof!" cried Mike as his own Pokemon slammed into his stomach, making him fall on his butt. He tossed Nitro at the attacking Pokemon and shouted after him, "Nitro, Metal Claw!"
Asthe fire Pokemon flew towards the Geodude, his claw shone a metallic silver as he rose it to strike.Geodude braced for impact with a Defense curl.
"Chaaaaaaaaaaaar!" screamed Nitro as he swiped his paw at the rocky Pokemon, connecting with critical damage. Geodude let out a cry, then backhanded Nitro, sending him flying into a wall, followed by a Rock Throw. Mike watched in horror as his Pokemon was buried in a mass of gravel and dirt.
Nitro, covered with bruises and cuts, slowly regained his upright stance, weakly raising it's claws for another Metal Claw strike.
"No Nitro! Return! You've done enough." Mike said as he called his fire Pokemon back into his Pokeball. "Go Shiver!"

Slightly intimidated by the vast beating that the Geodude gave to his friend, Shiver hopped closer to the rather angry rock Pokemon, which was letting out a few victorious cries.
"We can't let him get away with hurting Nitro like that can we? Shiver, Surf attack!" Mike screamed as he pointed to the Pokemon that just beat up his best friend, a tear rolling down his cheek.
"ShelllllDERR!"
The cave rumbled as a massive tidal wave appeared from behing the aquatic Pokemon, filling the entire cave and flying towards the Geodude with alarming speed and power. Washing away loose rubble and churning the remainder of them into mud and slush.
"G-GEO!" cried the pokemon as it futily attempted to escape from the watery doom that rushed towards him.
In seconds the wave overcame the Geodude and slammed him into the walls of the cavern. Both Mike and Shiver closed their eyes and looked away, for it was a slight bit of overkill. Needless to say, Shiver was the victor, and he and Mike made their way out of the cave, rushing for the Pokemon Center.

Darting out of the cave and completly ignoring the other trainers that were attempting to talk him into a battle, Mike and Shiver tore across the route to the Lavender Town Pokemon Center.
Nitro, restrained to the confines of his Pokeball for the first time in months, was greatly injured by the Geodude in Rock Tunnel.
"Why didn't I switch to Shiver in the first place? Why am I so stupid!?" Mike thought, feeling incredibly guilty about what happened to his friend.
Barreling through the doors of the Center, Mike almost shouted at the almost sleeping Nurse Joy, "Miss Joy! Please help! My Charmander is really hurt!" He said, tears erupting from his eyes.
Nurse Joy arose with a start, not expecting anymore trainers for the day, esspecially ones that make this loud of and entrance. "Oh, Mike! What happened?" She asked with a hald surprised and sad look on her face.
"I found a Geodude in Rock Tunnel, and I thought Nitro could handle it, but heend up getting really hurt!" cried Mike, collapsing on the couch.
Without saying anything else, Joy took the two Pokemon into the backroom and began treatment, leaving Mike sobbing on the couch.

Kasiya and Jenna were about to enter the Pokemon Center, when a trainer, his face red and tear streaked, practically pushed them aside and ran in ahead of them.
"Hey you jerk!" Kasiya yelled after him, shaking her fist as the realization hit her. "Oh my, that was Mike!" Kasiya turned to Jenna, her face fear-stricken. "We have to find out what happened!" She stepped through the glass doors, just as Mike collapsed on the couch, looking devastated. Kasiya walked over and sat down next to him, not saying a word.

Once at the Pewter PokeCenter Mitsu handed over the two red and white spheres to Nurse Joy, who in turn took them to the backroom for treatment. Still brimming with happiness from her victory, that Nurse Joy could tell.
"Catch a new Pokemon?" Nurse Joy inquired.
"No, I"ve won my first trainer battle." Mitsu corrected her. After a short chat with Joy she returned to a chair and awaited the return of her two Pokemon. Her eyes bright and shinning with sheer excitement as she relived the battle in thoughts. Wait till Ken hears this she thought he'll be so proud!
At the thought of her best friend he retirved the Pidgy egg from her pack and held it close to her. It still seemed frozen, but felt warm and alive.

Ding!
The sound signalling that her Pokemon's treatment was finished. Mitsu walked up to the counter fetching her two Pokeballs and three breakfasts. One for her and two for her beloved Pokemon.
Sitting down at a table normally for two she at her breakfast. Ralts, who was on the table munched on a rather large peice of food. Ghastly who floated slightly above the table after his food too, but taking rather large bites to fit his mouth. The three at happily.
About thirty minutes later after freshing up in the PokeCenter's bathroom the trio set on out.

Kilik sighed, standing up and leaving the Pokemon Center in Rustboro. He pulled out his train ticket. "I wonder..." he said, "Maybe...If I go to Kanto, I'll be able to train Eevee better," He looked at his belt, the only occupied Pokeball was his Eevee, "And possibly catch some more Pokemon..." he headed off to the Train station, his decision final.

After heading out of the PokeCenter the trio was very indecisive on what to do next. "What should we do? I don't want to challenge the gym leader before we have a water Pokemon and you guys don't want to fish."
"Ralts?" the Pokemon said sheepishly shrugging it's shoulders.
Mitsu siged. They were never going to get anywhere at this rate.

"Pass?" said the guard. Kilik lifted the ticket up. With a nod, the boy was allowed onto the train. The doors hissed open. He entered. Not many people were on board. He sat alone on one of the cushiony seats. After quite some time, the doors hissed closed and the train was off.
