"I suppose I'll be with you guys for a while," the bard says, "It's only fair you know one of my names. In most circles I'm known as Dre'gor." That appostrophe is an accent mark, unlike in our villain's name.

Okay
Well one name is better then no names.I look at him as I silently repeat his name trying to remember it.

If I keep this up, I might need to buy a special keyboard for all my different symbols. I wonder if German keyboards come with an oompaugh key...
"Few, if any, people know my original name." the bard says, "I like to keep it that way, as well. I'd rather not let people know my entire history, it's too risky."

That'd be something interesting to see.
Tis a good thing, one's history shouldn't be flaunted about if you don't wish it to be known.

"Indeed," Dre'gor agrees, "many a would-be villain or hero was undone by that mistake."

Many were and maybe a few more will fall from the same mistake still.

"As long as there are people who wish to be chronicled in history, there will be people making that mistake," Dre'gor says, "Everyone is in a hurry to get famous, but nobody is in a hurry to do anything for it."

"I guess that qualifies us for fame," he says, "It would be rather ironic for bards 10 or 20 years from now singing of a bard and his achievements. I'm sure they'll also sing of the rest of us, but there's no irony in that."

Unless if the bards on the run from bounty hunters. I doubt we'll go down in history for what we do since the aristocracy will try and make it seem they planned the whole thing.

Steven: "Thankfully, others like myself will make such lies impossible." Dre'gor explains, "You see, bards are historians, and they don't let such propaganda be used. They will certainly find the truth in such a thing."
druid spirit invoker: After wandering for what seems like ages, you've found a large metropolis. From the outside, it appeared to be but a tiny village, the walls spanning only a few leagues in each direction. Once inside, however, you were quickly overwhelmed by the immense size of it all. After trying to find your way, you find yourself in front of a large castle set off from the rest of the town. It's incredibly elaborate, though only two guards secure it. Outside the gates of the castle, you see a pixy and a catfolk talking, though you can't hear what they're saying.

I bet they would be able to dig the truth up eventualy, hopefully it won't be traced back to me if I ever want a quiet retirement.

"It would be likely," he says, "often such things are the "icing on the cake" for a bard's story. Don't expect any kind of retirement if we actually accomplish any of this."

"I'm sure you could just hide away in the forest." Cy says, "By the time we're done with this, you're likely to be a very proficient ranger, and few people would be able to track you down."
