Larissa had been so grateful to Perla for the spells that cleaned up their dresses and she made sure to thank her.
She had stored her gown at Aria but she was planning to re-use it somehow, instead of letting it sit in the closet. She'd read that you could make keepsakes from it such as baby blankets, soft toys, doll clothes, normal clothes like a skirt and blouse. She hadn't really decided on what to make yet and she wanted to talk to Midnight for ideas and to help her decide. Maybe some cushions that would look good on their bed or sofa. But she really loved the idea of making something for her child to use too. Some people refurbished their dresses into Christmas tree skirts. Maybe she should do that. No, wait! She could make a unicorn soft toy. Or no, an angel! Gah, there were too many options.
Larissa was shocked to hear what Dr Mark had told Midnight yet also relieved. She definitely would have been horrified by the idea of Midnight's body reabsorbing them. It would have been as devastating as a miscarriage to her. She was a little disgruntled about having to wait an extra week before turning the stasis spell off, but she grudgingly agreed.
Getting to places was so easy because of Aria. It was some life hack that's for sure. Larissa left her bags on the floor while she explored their hotel suite. She heard Midnight comment about the TV. "Wow, really? We'll have to watch it some time". She wondered what they'd cover on the news. But they must have enough interesting things happening to report about. This resort after all, was made to cater not just to the magical community but to magical creatures as well; dragons, mermaids, fairies etc. The dragon suites were currently full though which is why they got a more human suited one.
Larissa had not been skiing or snowboarding before but she'd probably enjoy taking lessons. It was never too late to learn something new. From where she lay on the bed, she looked up at Midnight. "I think you're right. Transforming in here is probably a bad idea. You'd barely fit. They said all the dragon rooms are booked out though, but I'm sure you can transform outside in the open air" She'd then got up and continued her exploration.
She didn't pay attention to what Midnight was watching on TV. At that point was when she'd found the brochures and stuff. She was looking through them excitedly. She paused when Midnight hugged her from behind, and made a small sound of happiness and pleasure at the kiss, the brochures slipping from her fingers and fluttering to the table and floor. "Well hi there gorgeous~ Hmm, I think I have some idea of what you're suggesting. It sounds good to me" she smiled, giggling at the playful growl and the tail winding around her.
She turned around in Midnight's arms and laid her arms around their neck, standing on tiptoe to kiss them, her soft lips moving against theirs. She was wearing a knee length Spring dress in a shade of pale green that complemented her eyes. Green eyes were apparently rare among humans but then again so was her shade of orange hair. Larissa pressed herself close to Midnight's body and kissed them again more passionately. She was looking forward to this for a long time and couldn't wait to roll around with her mate in blissful ecstasy. That's what honeymoons were for, right? Lots of lovely love making. She took a moment to break for air and gasp "This won't make me double pregnant, will it?"

 "I didn't know they had dragon rooms." I said thoughtfully. "Maybe we could return later, and get a properly sized room for me next time. But otherwise... this is nice, if a little cramped."
I had changed myself into a pair of shorts and a halter top (typical of me) as I loved the cold and the snow. But that didn't matter as she turned around to reach up and kiss me; I kissed her back with a happy thrumm. Another kiss, and when she finally pulled back for air she posed to me a silly question.
"I doubt it." I purred. "Now, come here you~" I said, picking her up gently and taking us to one of the beds, discarding our clothes as we went.

Several hours later found Larissa and I in the spa bath, nuzzled up against my bride. "How are you doing?" I asked, nuzzling her. "I wasn't too rough, was I?" I inquired.

Larissa had brought plenty of cold weather clothing in her suitcase. She'd just stripped into a light Spring dress because the weather back in Aria and the outside world had been Spring. But Spring in the mountains was a lot different. Luckily for her, the room was heated to a comfortable temperature so she currently was not freezing her butt off. She'd have to change if they went outside the resort.
She giggled, "Just making sure!~' Larissa replied and giggled some more when Midnight took her to one of the beds. She was very much looking forward to this. She wasn't embarrassed about Midnight seeing her bared, she knew Midnight loved her and her curves and plush belly. She did drink in the sight of her lover's body as well; it was quite spectacular.

Larissa hummed happily as she stirred her hand in the bath water, playing with the warm liquid. "Wonderful~" she sighed, kissing Midnight's jawline and laughing softly as she was nuzzled. "No, you were perfect. Don't worry" she reassured them. "You're a very considerate lover" she smiled, cuddling into Midnight. "So, we're gonna be here for two weeks right? What sort of things do you want to do? There's a lot of activities for skiers and non-skiers" she said. "Which would be me" She picked up a bath fizzer and dropped it in the water, watching it fizzle. A lovely scent filled the room as the water began to turn purple.

She liked my lovemaking; that was good, as she pecked my jawline with a kiss. I thrummed, squeezing my eyes shut as she told me that I was a considerate lover. Good. I loved her lovemaking as well.
So she didn't really ski... that didn't surprise me much. "Well, there's the main attraction... the ice skating rink. I believe they have cross country skiing, snowboarding, dog-sledding, or sledding in general..." I trailed off as the brochures from before floated over thanks to my earpiece. Stars, I love this thing.
Each one unfolded as I started to look them over, one by one; the water turned purple and the scent of lavender filled the air as I read. "Oooh, a rock concert in the next couple days." I said. I love rock concerts. "There's shopping, this resort is like a city in an of itself..." I said, looking over a second brochure. "We could always stargaze the best way." I said with a smile to her. "There's hotsprings-- an Adventure park!" I said, grinning as I looked over the brochure.

Larissa looked interested in ice skating. "Oh yeah. And this one will be bigger than the one they had around Christmas last year in town. It's an entire frozen lake, magically frozen to even bear the weight of dragons" she said. "You could skate around transformed if you wanted to"
She listened to the other options Midnight rambled off, seeming to like some of them "Okay. Snowboarding and dog sledding are a yes. As well as sledding in general. She grabbed one of the floating papers out of the air to have a look at it. "Ooh, Midnight, how romantic; they have sleigh rides here, and look; ice fishing! And snowshoeing. We could go on a walk together"
She nabbed another brochure, letting the first one go "Hmm, I think we should get a massage and beauty treatments. And go shopping. We should look for maternity clothes and baby stuff. We only have 9 months to prepare" She listened to the other options Midnight suggested. "Oh yeah, a rock concert! That would be fun. I've never really been to one. And star gazing would be amazing up here in the mountains. Hot springs, adventure park...let's pack as much things into our stay as we can!" she agreed, liking all those ideas.
She stopped talking for a minute then looked at Midnight "So, what should we do first? Do you want to go explore the shops, and get something for dinner? Tomorrow we can pack a full day's worth of activities in. Plus I'm curious as to what magical activities they might offer" She got out of the bath, grabbing a fluffy towel off the warmer and wrapping herself in it. The bathroom was heated and there was a fan running so it didn't get steamed up. "Hmm, what should I wear? The hotel's warm but it's cold outside. Depends on what we choose to do".

"I could, could I?" I said to her thought about me skating transformed. "Still, I'm not sure I want to advertise my scales." I said, putting my hand on my chest all dramatic like. "Heavens know, I don't want to make any of my scaly compatriots jealous." I also didn't want to attract Heather's attention, and she most certainly would have her eyes set on a glorious stellar dragon like myself.
Of course, she might notice me as a human as well... I leaned over to rap my knuckles on the wood paneling of the bath. Though it is highly unlikely. The less I have to do with Heather, the better.
"Sleigh rides sound fun." I said with a smile. "I don't think I need snowshoes, but I don't mind taking a walk through the snow." At the mention of the beauty treatments, I tilted my head back and forth. "I've never had a beauty treatment before...."
She climbed out of the bath as I was musing, and I followed after her; covered in purple foam. "Dinner sounds good... I feel like I could eat a horse." And knowing me, I probably could. "Good thing they have a nice large multicultural buffet, yes? Maybe we can do a sleigh ride after dinner." Watch the sun go down in the back of a carriage, and then maybe take her for a ride to gaze up at the stars from my four winged back. A lovely, romantic evening.

Larissa thought about Midnight's answer to dragon skating "Oh, well I just suggested it because last year they wouldn't let you on the ice rink as a dragon, so I thought here you'd have the freedom to do that. But if you want to keep a low profile, that's probably wise. Especially after the demon attack at our wedding. It might be good to stay off the radar for a time. And other dragons being jealous would be a problem. I didn't even think of that. Dragons tend to be the jealous type don't they?"
She didn't have a clue about Heather, which was probably for the best. Hopefully the woman would leave the couple alone on their honeymoon.
She started to rub moisturising lotion into her body, using the luxury bottle of complimentary lotion provided by the hotel for their suite guests. The cold dry air in winter could easily dry out and roughen skin, so it was very thoughtful. It was fragrance free and good for sensitive skin.
"Yeah, they do! I wonder if they'll be pulled by reindeer or horses" she mused, "It said they have both in the pamphlet" She chuckled when Midnight reminded her they don't need snowshoes. "Oh of course. Lucky you. I forgot. Taking a walk would be nice though" she admitted. "We could look out for different animals in the snowy forest, and listen to the winter sounds of birds and snow. Maybe we should collect pinecones and do arts and crafts with them"
She hung the towel back on the warming rack so it could dry. She was clean and the lotion had soaked in, so she was looking forward to getting some clothes out of her suitcase. Her hair was in a messy bun and she untied it and let it fall out naturally, finger combing it to get it to sit right. Larissa grabbed a new towel from the rack and wrapped it around Midnight, rubbing it on them to help dry them off. "You have foam all over you" she tsked sounding amused. "Here, let me wipe it off" Larissa helped dry Midnight thoroughly. Then she took the lotion and started to rub it on Midnight "Here, this is good for your skin. I'll do your back"
"Mm, yeah it sounds great" she agreed to dinner. She was really hungry now that she noticed her body's signals. Must have been all the divine crystal magic used during battle. "Your body probably needs to replenish energy after the crazy fight you went through and having to heal" she said, rubbing lotion into Midnight's back and shoulders. "Yeah that is a good thing!It's making my mouth water just hearing about it. Did you read that in the brochures?" She paused "A sleigh ride after dinner would be nice too. Ohh, this holiday is gonna be so much fun!" as she said that, she forgot that she was holding the lotion bottle and when she squeezed her hands into fists and shook them in emphasis, a splurt of lotion flew out of the bottle and landed on the bathroom mirror.
"Oops!"

"Yeah, but at that point I had no choice but to be a dragon!" I complained. My tone was half amused, so she wouldn't think I was trying to pick a fight. "That wasn't a large rink, I'm surprised I didn't trip anyone."
"I think they can be. Especially if they don't have a mate." I said as I thought about them being jealous types. "The fights they will get into for the sake of an attractive mate is stuff of legend." Considering that I'm technically both genders...
I watched her start to rub the lotion on her body appreciatively. I was... let's just say I wouldn't mind a round two, but I dunno if she would be up for that. Still, I am sated for the moment.
"I think Reindeer would be neat." I said. "Then again, I don't see horses much either. What do you think?" I asked when she mentioned what might be pulling of sleigh.
I didn't bother to dry myself off, but she brought over a towel and started to dry me off. I smiled at her and thrummed as she toweled me off and then started to apply the lotion. I pulled my long wet hair out of the way as she applied the lotion to my back. As she did so, a warm breeze flowed along my locks, wiking away the moisture so that my long crimson, almost jewel-like strands would dry faster sooner. Once that was done, I applied the lotion to the rest of myself.
I stole a kiss as I turned back towards her, my hair a tumble of crimson curls. I was going to go fetch some clothes, but her enthusiasm with her words and at how exited she was about all this caused her to accidentally squirt lotion all over the mirror. I laughed, leaning against the wall; perhaps harder then I meant to. It was then that I finally let the rest of the tension from earlier just undo the knot in my back. I'm not gonna get eaten by a demon. I'm married to lovely Larissa, and my hatchings are fine.
I finally stopped and wiped away some tears; I didn't realize I had been crying in my mirth. "S-Sorry. It... It feels so good to laugh."

Larissa recalled back to December and nodded, "Oh, yeah" she said. Midnight didn't have the ability to shape shift back to a more human form then. She smirked a bit at the idea of people tripping over her tail or limbs. It would have been pretty funny to see people tumbling everywhere. "I don't know how people managed to avoid you but it's probably because the owner of the skating rink kicked us off the ice. Thankfully, that won't happen here"
She frowned slightly when Midnight talked about jealous dragons. "Wow. Geez. That sounds pretty intense. They better not try and steal you away from me. I'll cast crystal spells at them until they give up! The wedding band you're wearing is enchanted to shift size to suit you so you can always flash that at them if they try. That's one of the perks of being married..among others" she said with satisfaction. She may have posed and preened a little as she felt Midnight's admiring eyes, making a small show of putting lotion on like they do in the commercials that sell this stuff.
"Hmm, horses! I know that's kind of a typical choice for me, but what girl doesn't love horses?" she said "They can be so majestic, and beautiful. The sounds of their hooves stamping through the snow, their manes and tails flowing, it makes a nice image" She paused "I wonder if they enchant the reindeer to fly? Maybe they do that at Christmas time"
She enjoyed the sounds of Midnight's dragon purrs, smiling as she helped dry them off and then massaged lotion onto their back in soothing motions. She ran some of Midnight's deep red hair through her hands, admiring the colour and the swirls of silky hair while Midnight moisturized their skin. Having your hair played with was affectionate and relaxing. It was nice to do with someone you were close to.
She started to laugh with Midnight as she grabbed a folded face washer from the sink counter and wiped the lotion off the mirror. Of course it left smears so she had to wipe it over with the face washer dampened. She chuckled at Midnight's hearty laughter. It was a beautiful sound, the sounds of joy and mirth. She needed to release some of the tension from everything that had happened and Larissa was glad that her body was doing so for her. "You always feel better after a good laugh" she said gently, walking up to Midnight with some tissues from the box on the sink counter. "Here" she said softly as she dabbed and wiped Midnight's tears away. She kissed their cheek once finished.
She smiled at Midnight and pressed herself close to them, wrapping them into a soft soft hug."Okay, let's go get dressed before a maid or room services knocks on the door. Come on" she took Midnight's hand and led them back into the bedroom, going over to her suitcase and unzipping it. It practically leaped open and a bunch of clothes spilled out. "Whoops!" Larissa giggled "Maybe I packed too many clothes" she couldn't decide what to bring so she just brought....everything.
She picked out underwear and put them on, then dug through her bag for a warm pair of thermal leggings, plus jeggings that were pale blue. She added a warm thermal top plus a white t-shirt and a warm comfy pink sweater plus a pale blue scarf with white polka dots on it. She wiggled some white Ugg boots onto her feet. "There. Nice and warm!"
She then picked up some tiny clothes from another bag and walked over to the cat tree "Come on Poff, we have to get you ready for the cold too" she said.
Poff looked at the clothes "Do I have to?"
"Aw, come on, you'll be cute. And warm" she cooed, and helped the cat dress. Poff was now dressed in a kitty cat coat made of thick knitted mohair wool, booties that were water resistant outside and warm fluff inside, and a beanie that snuggled on her head and ears. "There, you're so adorable!" Larissa squeed, picking up the cat in her arms and kissing her forehead.
Poff purred.

"And that I will do." I said, when she mentioned that the band would shift sizes with me. I smiled and I glanced at the band, wrapped firmly around my finger; before looking back at Larissa. She was preening under my gaze, and that just made me smile all the more.
"Horses it is then!" I said in agreement. "Were you one of those girls who wanted a pony when they were younger?" I playfully teased. "Or a unicorn?" Not that you really could have a unicorn as a pet, the way you had a pony. As an intelligent creature, they were protected from being owned like most regular animals.
I did quite enjoy the feeling of her running her fingers though my hair; I let her do so as I finished slathering myself in the lotion.
Thankfully Larissa laughed with me when I had found myself in tears with laughter. She tried to clean up the lotion on the mirror, leaving smears which she had to apply a little more elbow grease to get rid of.
"I thought this was a dream, for a while." I admitted after she helped wipe away my tears. "Like the powers that be showing me what I was missing... and that'd I'd wake up in that demons grip again." I gave another short laugh. "But no, this is real, so so delightfully real."
I returned the peck on the cheek as she headed off to dress; I gave another laugh as her suitcase practically popped open with all the clothes she had stuffed in it. "How did you fit all that in there?" I asked her as I headed over to my own bag.
I dressed, first in my typical underclothes (a pretty and lacy set of bra and panties, no underwire thank you) a pair of black slacks that I had modified for deeper pockets; and a red halter top that left my arms and back exposed. With my long red curls going down my back, it's not like anyone's going to notice that.
I glanced over to see that Larissa had picked out a cute and fluffy outfit and was in the process of dressing poff. I looked down at my feet, bare and peeking out under my slacks.
"You think I should wear shoes?" I asked her. "My feet get so hot."
Gossamer and Sapphire flew down as I pulled a pair of earrings out of my bag and put them on, letting the perch; the two of them were surrounded by what looked almost like a heat haze, a subtle shimmer...

"Oh yes! I wanted a pony very much. But there was nowhere for me to keep it and it was too expensive, so my parents didn't get me one. But they let me take horse riding lessons at local places. Usually for my birthdays and such. And yeah, I definitely entertained fantasies of having a unicorn or a pegasus. Or an Alicorn. Blame My Little Pony. I love that show" she said with a grin. "I was always fascinated by magical creatures and magic. I pretended to be a fairy, a mermaid when we went to the beach, a princess...I was an imaginative child, but most children are. Summer pony camps were the best"
"It is real" she smiled, "Sometimes I can't believe it myself. I never thought my dreams would come true in the way that they have"
When the suitcase exploded, she also tittered a bit. "I sat on it and squashed stuff in!" she said.
Larissa checked Midnight out once they were both dressed "Ooh, just looking at you makes me feel cold. It's a good thing you're a sonicwing; a normal person would freeze in that attire"
She was cuddling and nuzzling Poff when Midnight asked about shoes "Nah, leave them off. It's more important that you feel comfortable. Sweaty feet feel awful. Can you work an illusion? They might not let you in the eating areas without shoes. You could just pretend to wear some. Like, some black ones, made of your darkness spell. And people won't worry about you getting frostbite out in the snow and ice"
She put Poff on her shoulder and the cat snuggled down, lying across Larissa's shoulders. "You ready? Let's go downstairs. And we should probably ask if we need to book the sleigh ride or if they take whoever wants to"
They headed downstairs via the elevator, because being on the top floor, it was easier than using many stairs. It pinged as they arrived at ground level and were greeted by shops, restaurants and more. "Hmm, I think the buffet is this way" Larissa said, walking to a standing floor plan of the hotel that listed where everything was located.

"Yes, yes they would." I said when she said that she felt cold just looking at me. I hadn't needed a decent coat all winter, I doubted that I'd need one now. Even my human form could easily overheat if I wasn't careful, During the summer I'd have to make all of my clothes out of umber s--
Umber materiel... Eurika!
Before I could say anything, Larissa had asked me if I was ready and headed out the door. I stood there a moment, before turning and jumping into a shadow.
By the time Larissa came out of the Elevator, a black plume of shadow erupted next to it and there I was; I was wearing a comfy pair of Umberal boots, and I was a good foot taller then before (I had made the boots, made them comfy for my half dragon legs, put them on and went) and I looked down at them as she stepped off the Elevator. "What do you think?" I asked her. My toes barely felt chilly.
You couldn't see how high they went, but they were high heels with a nice arch and a long, almost dagger like heel.

Larissa turned around to see her mate and smiled at them. "So there you are. I figured you would be along shortly so I just went down without you. Being able to teleport that many floors at once is quite the feat" she said, impressed. "Moving through shadows is sort of the same as teleporting anyway"
She looked at the boots curiously, admiring them "Oh, nice design. I like the heels on those. But you tower over me more than usual" she grinned, leaning back a bit to look up at Midnight. "I don't mind though. Hmm, something smells really nice down here. I suppose we should follow our noses" she said, looking back at the map of the ground floor and tapping the room marked as the buffet dining.
She turned around and took Midnight's hand in hers, walking across the smooth, hard floor past different restaurants and cafes and eventually to the large room where there were some long buffet tables absolutely packed with foods and self serve machines (fruit juice, ice, ice cream, water, cereal). Larissa hesitated looking at all the food."Uh, so, what do you feel like? I don't know where to start"
She got the feeling that she wanted to eat lots of light floaty foods like soups, salads and anything sweet. She started to head towards the salad bar. If she was going to stuff herself, it may as well be with healthy stuff she won't regret later.
"Say, Midnight; how are we going to explain how we're both pregnant when our bellies start showing? Our family and friends are going to be very confused" she said, grabbing a large dinner plate and starting to heap a salad that had grapes, walnuts and apple slices in it among healthy lettuce and a few other things.

"Well, I had too jump into the umberance...." I said, looking down at them. "I didn't want to throw the poor people here into a panic because I needed shadows to make the boots."
So I had just wandered into the Umberance to make them.
She took my hand and we wandered into the buffet line; So many types of food, all fresh and ready for us! Caelfall didn't have a restaurant as fancy and as well maintained as this.
"I'm thinking Fish, fish, and more fish." I said with a grin as I licked my lips.
She collected her food, and I collected mine; we sat down together and started to eat; I had several sushi rolls of various types, a dozen pieces of nigiri, several fillets of salmon. As well as a salad that had raw tuna in it. I started to eat happily as she posed me a question, her own lighter fare taking up her attention; how we were going to explain both of us getting pregnant?
"Well..." I said. "I know our parents know I'm a herm already, as our friends from university... we could say you're one too." I said, with a joking tone and a teasing grin. It's actually rather fun, considering. "I'm joking, of course. If all else fails, we can say a magical mishap... like one of our neighbors was playing with magic they shouldn't have."

Larissa listened to Midnight's explanation "Oh, is that a plane of darkness or something? I don't know anything about darkness magic. Umberance" she admitted. "I am trying to learn more divine crystal spells. I try to memorise them yet when it comes to battles, I panic and forget a bunch" she laughed a bit sheepishly. "Anyway, good on you for thinking of our fellow guests. Scaring people would have brought us way too much attention"
They had entered the buffet restaurant and Larissa chuckled at Midnight's chanting of 'fish'. "What? I thought you said you wanted a horse before we came down here" she joked. But that might actually be on the menu for the dragon types that stayed here. Eek.
She had loaded her plate with pasta salad, rice salad, Walgreen's salad, beetroot slices, tasty cheese slices, egg salad and cherry tomatoes.It was clear she was hungry but trying to be good about her food choices. She sat down to eat and talk with her spouse, neatly yet quickly taking bites of her food. She was going to go back for seconds, some of the soups looked delicious. She wanted dessert too. It was fun to eat a lot in places like this. She remembered using the ice cream dispensers as a child, her eyes too big for her stomach and every type of topping imaginable on the ice cream swirls. Brownie bites, cookie dough, caramel sauce, sprinkles...
Larissa paid attention to what Midnight was saying. She was taken aback by their suggestion "I don't know..." she said doubtfully, considering the option then she realised they were joking. "Oh! Right. Ha ha. You had me there for a minute. It's not a bad way to be, I just don't know if I want extra bits and all that!" she squeaked, turning pink. "I-I mean, yours are lovely. I mean-I think they are..." she covered her face and groaned. "Forget what I was saying! I'm digging myself a hole here"
She managed to regain her composure and sit back up, looking at Midnight "Magical mishap sounds good. After all, it's the truth" she smiled. "If we hadn't have used that spell scroll with demonic magic on it, neither of us would be expecting at all. Right now, the only thing that's stopping progress is the stasis spell. We'd both probably be starting to show around now otherwise" she said, almost sounding regretful.
She continued to eat, looking around. People watching in a crowd this diverse was really fun. "There's a lot of different races here" Larissa murmured "Some I've never seen before. They must come from all over the place to holiday here! All the different fashions too..." She paused and turned her eyes back to Midnight.
"We're both having angelic beings of some kind, because the spell was to summon an angel, right? I probably should speak to Lilian and get some advice. But I don't know if angels differ depending on what God made them and who they worship. We both should probably speak to her at some point. Also, I'm a little scared, I don't know what's going to happen to my body, for instance, if the wings are big, could that damage my womb? And what about giving birth. Most women have trouble when they are just having a human baby. Oh gods, are we going to have to do a home birth? I really want to go to a nice maternity hospital. They have drugs and painkillers...and that thing where they numb your spine...epipenal....epipural...something like that"
