Up Gilly went, into Riley's arms. She was so relieved to see her friend. Gilly's ears wiggled at that thought. And even more relieved to know that they did well. Riley pressed her head against hers, Gilly let a giant grin spread across her face and blushed. She had to grab her cheeks to contain herself.
"Miss Riley! I missed you! I wasn't sure what happened, but I was gone, then I saw the pillars, and the white one it spoke to me, and I didn't understand it! But I think it was trying to tell you what you were trying to tell me, and I was so sad that Xiu was gone, but then I thought that it would be okay, then there were STAIRS so many stairs, I'm not sure why but we were all going up the stairs! And I just wanted to see you, but THEN I COULDN'T SEE! everything was so dark I didn't know what to do." BREATH... Gilly finally paused. Realizing that she was probably sounding crazy. Still dangling in Riley's arm she placed both arms around her and hugged her really tight. Tears were running down her cheeks. "Riley," Gilly hugged her tighter. "I don't want to say goodbye, so I'll just say till next me. I hope the real us are friends." Gilly bit down on her lips and sucked in her tears. She pushed back to look into the mindflyers eyes, and finally burst out with "I'm so happy I got to see you!"

Rosy eyes open slowly, fully understand what she been told. A last chance to say goodbye to those that meant alot to her. To see their faces one last time, before it truly was the end for them all. Part of her felt sad, and yet she found herself happy with everything she knew. She got a chance to live, and meet people some who even for the short time she knew them, touched her heart.
Slowly she walks around, just looking at the faces that look so familiar to her. People she wanted to walk up to, hug and just say goodbye, but couldn't. She wasn't one for goodbyes, she was really bad at them. She was one for I will see you again.
But this wasn't the case....
The first coming to her King. Xiu the others called her, that was her name in this other world. Sweet and gentle. She was glad out of all the kingdoms, she had been her king. In that short amount of time, she grown to care for her. Maybe they would see each other again soon. In her heart, she hope so.
Her dark red eyes continue to follow, stopping upon Gene, Riley, and Mot. And all she could do was chuckle. Gene and her tea, it was just too bad they couldn't talk longer over some. She had a feeling they would have fun chatting about interesting things over tea. She was wise, and she knew if they had time to talk, she could have learned alot from her.
Riley, she didn't get to know her and sadly now she wish she could have. Maybe they could have been good friend, but now was not the time to think about it. Closing her eyes, she tries to hold back the tears for a moment as she moves onto the next.
Mot, that was his name. Another she didn't get a chance to know. Such a gentle heart once again. She hope he would find happiness, no matter what happen.
She couldn't help but laugh as she saw Riley carry off Gilly. Gilly the one who saved their King. Simply an amazing young girl, and she hope that would continue to be amazing. She knew she was going to be far more then what she seemed, even if this world was ending. Gilly would live on, she could see it now.
They all would, just because she would not forget them.
And still her eyes wander, catching a familiar man. Shun, the young man honestly scared her, but not in a bad way. In a good way, because of how determined he was to make everything right. She was glad, that even if she help just a tiny bit, he and the other were able to save their friend.
Looking away from them all, she kept looking for others from her kingdom. At least one in particular. The one that held her heart, she had to see him, just one final time.
She blinked owlishly at the wave and kind words, wishing she could unclench her hands but finding that hugging herself was, well, pretty comforting after all that. Even if her fingers were digging a bit hard through the fabric.
"Don't say goodbye then. Say 'see you later'," she suggested mildly, unsure if this was an invitation to join the conversation or not. "Then it isn't an end. It's a promise. And you have to keep promises after all." That was how the world was supposed to work. They all existed in one way or another, so who was to say they wouldn't just meet again on the other side?
Stormy glanced at Lifen curiously, tilting her head. "You...remember?" she asked with some awe. "Are they good memories? Is the world out there better than it is here?" Maybe it wasn't fair to ask, but she couldn't help it.
Dying the way she had, screaming without a voice, made her more hopeful for her other self.

So this was to be the end then? Aezeloth had perhaps come to grips with the fact that he was not going to last forever but all the same, he would have liked to have a bit more time. A final goodbye was nice and all but... He wanted more time with Amarus.
But then, even just another minute with her would have been enough - a second even. He had finally found his true partner, and it was a shame it had to end so soon...
But perhaps...
He sought her out amongst the mass of bodies - it wouldn't be hard, he knew her by sight and sound now. When he found Amarus, he wrapped her up in the biggest hug he could muster, and must have kissed her a least a hundred times before letting her go. Placing his hands on her shoulders he smiled down at her.
"Even if its only just a few moments more, I'm happy to be spending them with you..." He brushed her cheek for a moment and held out a hand to her.
"Shall we go find our family?"
He of course, was referring to all of those of the Black Kingdom - King and traitors all. Regardless of the events of the last few days - they were still family.
For a moment he stood on his own, and for a moment he wondered if his ship crew would welcome him back with open arms. It gave him a sharp pain in the chest, a pain that went unnoticed to most until he noticed a familiar medic heading toward his side. Unknowingly his shoulders relaxed as Wilson smiled at Lumikki. “Did you settle everything?” he prodded gently as he glanced at Julian.
Wilson quirked an eyebrow at Pokerus. “By other guy, you would be referring to…?” He would’ve gladly offered the dragon a name, but a lack of any descriptors prevented him from doing so. He leaned forward curiously when she turned around. His gaze flickered toward the other dragon, than back to his own when she offered to be punched. A corner of his lips twisted as he prepared himself emotionally for the oncoming hit. He flinched anyways. But as the red dragon turned away, Wilson walked over to Pokerus and offered her a hand. “I hope it doesn’t hurt too much.”

Gertrude didn't understand how she got here. Wasn't she downstairs somewhere? Or dead? Or undead? Or all three? Her life... Or afterlife? Or whatever the hell this was supposed to be. Whatever it was, it had been eventful lately. She only now knew what had been going on. She really wished she knew these things before. Now, they didn't seem like they mattered anymore.
Amarus, completely unalike to her real self, held onto Zel as though he was the one anchoring her to existence. Not the White Pillar, not their struggles, and not any other possible force in her known world. She held on like she thought that the second they let go, that would be their last second.
Even until this point, she hadn't really been able to explain to him all that he meant. She just hoped that he understood, because to her, being her fighting partner was the greatest mark of respect and love she could bestow on anyone. Loving someone in casual situations was easy. Trusting that they would never fall lest they risk your defeat, that strength was something she could not replicate without Zel. If there was even a moment's hesitation, even a second of miscommunication in battle, they could have both been lost.
And they had been, once. Zel had been taken from her, because she had failed to protect him, and that meant a part of her own self had died alongside him. That was, perhaps, why she had fought so relentlessly to avenge his death: there had been nothing left for her to lose. She merely needed to pay her tithe to her kingdom and the one she loved.
She was not convinced she had paid it, yet. But more than anything else, she was afraid of losing everything, and she was especially afraid for her True Self. She pushed her thoughts aside for each kiss, smiling faintly despite her inner turmoil. "Always with you," she agreed, reaching up one hand to press against the back of his hand for a moment as well. She took hold of his hand automatically, squeezing it.
"Strange that Revenge should be family," she suggested, her smile broadening for a second. Although she was prepared to follow him, two thoughts rose as she paused mid-step. "It must have been hard on them... the traitors," she said. "I don't think they loved our King any less than we did."
And her second thought: "The one I saw, the 'real me,' she looked so lonely... The part of me that blazes because I know that I never fight alone, that part of her seemed cold, untouched, unlit. Do you think she's lonely? Zel, do I have to die just so that she can live, even when she's the shadow of me?" Amarus' face contorted in anger, and grief. In desperation.
"I don't want her to live not knowing she can be me," she said, more quietly. "Anyway. That's all. Family, ahoy," she finished, trying to smile at him.
And then genuinely smiling, because even though she was about to die, she had gotten to say her goodbyes. She had walked a long road with him, even in fragment and even if it was someone's shared dream. There was no shame in that.

It felt illuminating to see that grin on the face of a girl she'd never met, and those words of hope that they were friends. Riley refused to tell her the truth - instead, she promised herself she would rectify the loss. She would find Gilly, and she would try to be friends. This would prove difficult, if the ghoul back at Amity was anything different from who she was here. And yet.. Riley was nothing like the girl she'd been in this world.
Perhaps it wouldn't be so difficult, after all.
I experienced all these phenomenon, as well. Riley informed the girl, her clinical words tempered with the amusement in her voice. She would have said more, but instead she was stunned to silence by the open show of affection that Gilly offered. The girl was hugging her so easily, and Riley's eyes went wide. She was at a loss as to how she'd acquired someones affection so easily.. being who she was. Who she really was.
It was eye opening. How absolute Gilly's innocence and excitement was. How much Riley secretly longed for the affection, the attention, and yet.. it was never easy to accept for someone so bent on returning to the darkness.
She caught a glimpse of Rosy, as the girl flickered her gaze past all of her fellow Kingdom comrades, and her hand lifted in a very soft wave. The fingers barely shifted in the movement. And then, her eyes were somewhere else.
I am fortunate. Riley murmured, with a secret sort of fondness towards Gilly. To have had this time with you. I will keep it, and you, always. Her hand lifted Gilly's, and pressed the girls palm against her chest. Here.
Zel grinned widely and glanced over to her as they walked. "Of course we're a family, why wouldn't we be? We always avenge each other above all."
Squeezing her hand he smirked. "Us most of all."
He would miss this, and he echoed her sentiment exactly. "The real me I saw, was a scrawny thing that spent far too much time reading and not enough time living - he was a thin shade of his true potential... If the traitors are willing I would like them to send him a message..."
He grew quiet for a moment before he spoke again. "Because I would very much like the real me to find a partner like you..." He smiled warmly at her before he continued. "Even the real you - if possible. Then we truly never died."
He nodded his head when she spoke of the traitors. "If anything, they loved him more - if that's even possible."
If anything - he hoped they would remember them.

Amarus shrugged one shoulder, idly, as they walked. "Because revenge is one of those all-consuming things," she replied. At least it had been, for her, when the time came.
She did smile, though, at that. "Of course. I have to make my way to where you are so I can chain us back together, and vice versa," she elaborated, upon the subject of avenging one another.
"If only they could see us, the way that we have seen them!" Amarus suggested, wrinkling her nose. Then, pausing, she thought about the concept of sending her True Self a message. "I would like that very much. Although I think I would not ask them as the traitors, that might start us off on the wrong foot," she suggested, smiling again.
Amarus listened to Zel, suggesting that he hoped that the real him could find a partner like her. "I don't want to let the 'real' me have anything, but I can't choose that, so the next best thing is to tell her... well, I have things to tell her, yes. I hope that Amrita, or one of the others, can carry a message back for us."
There was no way, no matter how she tried to calculate and scheme and plan, for her to escape this with him. She wished, so badly, that she could. But even the voice had failed to grant even a single wish, by the end. Who would hear her, now? Who would hear her, and come for them?
No one good. Nothing good. It was their ending, soon, and it would be their last. She looked at the ground as they walked, until she realized that even with all that had happened, she could not let her spirit break. So she lifted her face up, straightened her back, and walked as though she was proud of what they had achieved.
And, looking at Zel, she was. Even if the cost was great.
Words were coming out of those perfect lips, and he felt her elbow dig into his chest. His brow furrowed as he tried, really hard, to actually hear -
His eyes flickered up, blinking in surprise at the two that were standing there. Had they.. been there this whole..
"Hello to Lifen." Bastion muttered sheepishly, raising one hand up and scratching the back of his head in embarrassment. His dark skin colored in a blush, and he gave her a grin. He felt giddy, floating on the edge of happiness that tinged with utter tragedy. "Sorry, I didn't see you guys, there. I uh.."
He took a breath, and the scent of Mjoll's hair caught his attention. An instant, the blink of an eye, and he was gone again, just staring at her. Staring at the wonder of Mjoll in his arms, Mjoll with her body pressed against his, Mjoll, Mjoll, Mjoll..
He completely missed her sarcastic insult in favor of floating away in distraction again. He just.. just wanted to look at her. He didn't care what she was doing, he just wanted to look at her. That was what his eyes were made for.
He believed this ending was permanent, and lasting. But he was still making the best of the time he'd been given.

He heard his name from Jing, and watched him rant with a small smile on his face, it seemed there was no stopping him when he started, pointing out all the blue, naming them. Though his own name was accompanied with the words giving it his all, well he wasn’t going to correct him. “Yes, a toast, to the watch” he called back when he was done, “to playing against a stacked deck and winning anyway. It’s hard enough to win against the house.” He smiled. Yeah they had won, despite the odd. And not just them, everyone, even with a little outside help. Those who were real, his eyes gazed over to Jerry and Cadance, and to the pillars. How strange they were.
They were all there, from all the kingdoms. His eyes scanned for his brother hoping to, find him but no, his last goodbyes at the silver tower would have to suffice. It seemed only the chosen ones were there. The bartender was missing as well. “And to those that can only be remembered in our hearts.” He held an invisible cup in his hand, letting it, like Jing, be a symbol of his toast. He pretended to sip, it was too bad he had left his bag back in blue kingdom. There might have had some wine if he had brought it.
“Careful, Olivia, I found out G is a hugger… when he gets a hold of you there is no escape… don’t worry, it’s friendly, I think.” He frowned a moment, realizing, “hey, you know I never was told exactly what animal you stamped on me, and I couldn’t see it. Someone tell me, or at least tell me the tattoo was cool.”

*lazy quote to blue kingdom* and any last minute RP is acceptable.
She had been dead, but here she was. This time, Jay found herself surrounded not by pitch-black darkness, but blinding light. The contrast startled her. She raised a tanned arm to shield her squinting eyes from the source, but found her vision adjusting moments later. Her entire world had changed since she had last seen it. Jay remembered the gold buildings of her kingdom, but also the plain, winding stairs that never seemed to end. She could even recall the deafening silence. Total silence, she realized, was frightening. Her gaze turned toward the white pillar, and somehow she knew. She knew that these last few moments were the work of the pillar. There were no words she could express toward the pillar. Instead, she would make use of this precious time to do what she had always wanted to do.
The chatter in the background was a welcome change when she looked around the other assembled people, fragments, she supposed. They were all fragments, but perhaps that didn’t mean they weren’t alive. In the end, they had been something, right? Well, Jay certainly hoped so. She tugged at her sleeves nervously while winding through the crowd in search of a familiar face. At first, the copycat found it difficult to find the one person she wanted to see more than anything, the one person she realized she thought more of than anyone else. But his very image made her heart sour into the skies and it felt like her feet floated away from the ground. So she had to do one last thing.
Wide eyes lit up softly as a tentative hand reached for one of Senga’s sleeves. “Senga.” Her voice was quiet, gentle. She waited patiently for the swordsman to turn around so she could take another moment to examine his features. Her hands reached out to cup his face while she tilted her head upwards for a timid kiss on the lips.

Turning her eyes back, only for a brief moment. She smiles as she catches sight of Riley small wave. Before she turns back to Gilly. She chewing on her bottom lip, she moves towards them both. Even if she wasn't one for goodbyes, she could at least give hugs or something.
Pausing, just a few feet away from them both. She lifts her own hand, returning the small wave Riley had given her.
Zel smiled. "Of course, you are right, they aren't traitors - not really - they are our friends, our family."
Bowing his head to her, he chuckled. "I wish we could take their place, surely we are the better versions?"
But then - who was he to determine that? "I hope they can," he said of her mention of one of them carrying a message back. "There is much I want to say..."
Pulling her closer to him, he wrapped an arm around her waist and sighed slightly. He just wanted more time. More time with Amarus.
He hoped they would find their family soon. He had so much to say. But so little time.
