Van sighed in temporary relief when he heard the pirates crash outside. They were safe for now, but he wasn't sure how long Mala could keep up her barrier.

Mala kept her concentration for the moment being, honestly unable to pay attention to much else aside from her barrier.
Before long, more pirates returned. Some of the lower rank tried to see if they could pull through the barrier, but failed miserably. "What manner of sorcery be this?!" one exclaimed.
{Ooh...now I want to make a pirate RP. XD Should I? Or do you think it'd probably die before it started?}

((*rubs chin* I honestly don't know. You might need some sort of twist though to keep it interesting. I think there have been pirate RPs in the past that didn't last long at all.))
Van looked around the room, wondering if he could come up with some sort of trap for the pirates if they did somehow manage to break through Mala's barrier.

Finally, the captain grew tired of this. "ENOUGH! If anybody be gettin' through that thing, it'd be me!" he exclaimed, pulling out an enchanted cutlass and slicing at the thickness in the air that was Mala's barrier. If the role is 10 and under, he succeeds. If it is 11 and up, he fails.
{True. Then again, it's the same for most RP's. Unless you have some sort of catch lately, people quickly lose interest. The problem is that I haven't been able to quite get that catch lately, as my lack of constantly making new RP's like I have in the past might suggest. xd All well. I might try to make some sort of new RP soon, since so many are inactive and I'm bored, but seeing how things are I seriously doubt it'll catch off. crying All well.}

Van winced, waiting for the sound of the door breaking and pirates storming in...but nothing happened.

The captain was also slammed against the wall, a crack able to be heard from the forceful impact breaking his spine.

Van tried not to snicker at the captain's failed attempt. At this rate, the pirates would still be on board by the time they pulled into port. In which case the local authorities could handle them. Of course, this was hoping Mala could hold out long enough.

Mala began to grow tired, her barrier weakening slightly. After all, keeping up such a barrier for so long was draining at best.

The pirates stood there for many moments, dumbfounded by the death of their captain. What were they supposed to do? Where was the seccond in command when you needed the b*****d?! And why are there so many annoying questions in this post?!

Some of the pirates began to fight one another over who'd be the next leader. Others joined in, and conviniently, they all ended up brutally injuring and/or killing each other just as Mala couldn't keep up the barrier any longer.
