Henna nodded and closed the door before walking over to the table and taking a cup. She took a sip and swallowed thinking. It was sweet, but spicy, good but still odd. She took another sip and felt strange almost like electrical currents zipping though her veins. "Interesting." She said under her breath. It felt good, warming. She sat down on a tall stood at her work table and took another sip, the tea was almost addictive, like really spicy food when you knew it would only be worse if you waited for the taste to vanish completely before taking another bite. She finished her small glass and sighed grinning. "Very good." She sighed contently. The hot water warming her belly.

 Sighing Dainne once again took off his pants and handed them back to Henna. "I really do appreciate you doing this for me. It would be rather embarrassing to present myself to the King in such a state. Oh yes... for who's funeral are you making so many clothes? What also do you mean by coronation? I have heard nothing of these events as of yet. Has something happened to the Gladaron family?" Dainne picked up the cup of tea and took a sip. His ears started to tingle as he drank more. "What's this? Moon Sugar? Why I haven't had this since my last visit to Merional! Quite a rare ingredient..."((Sorry it takes me awhile to post. I'm trying to help another RP get started right now. Luckily it's almost ready.))

Henna took scraps of the same fabric to sewed up two pockets, then sewed them into the pants. "You have not heard?" She asked and glanced up at him. "The king is on his deathbed, I have his final robes ready and everything, his son is already running most everything, won't even let his brothers in to see their dad, poor guys." She shook her head, she had never been very close to the king, he was a bit sexist and was not very fond of her. “Moon sugar? What’s that?” She thought a moment and the only reference to moon sugar she could come up with was the illegal drug. “…The Narcotic?” She said slightly worried. Getting caught with hidden people in the king’s castle was one thing but the handling of illegal narcotics was entirely another. She finished her pant’s pockets and moved on to sewing on belt loops, that was the easy part.

Dainne chuckles slightly and takes another sip of tea, reveling in its depth. "Moon Sugar a narcotic? Surely you jest. It's an import in high regard in Merional. It has properties than can enhance magical prowess with the Tou, but it gives a sensation of enlightenment with others. The Royal Family of Merional is all elven so I do not know what its effect is on others, but with us it has rather pleasing side-effects." He gives some more thought then looks up. "You said the King was dying. If I remember correctly he is no older than my father. What has happened to make him so ill?"(( Sorry Minron but if you get in trouble for the Sugar, I'm on your side lol.))

Henna did enjoy the feeling the tea gave her, but it was not worth loosing her dream job. "In this kingdom it is, I don't make the law and I'm not Elfin." She shrugged and poured herself another glass, as long as it was warm it was best that it got drunk, right? "She finished the belt loops and pressed them with her fingers to get that nice crisp clean edge. With the moon sugar racing though her system using her magic felt amazing. She giggled and looked down at her hand examining it. She then put her hand back down against the pants and pressed the bottom hem, sighing softly. “Is your hair natural, or do you dye it?” she could not help but ask the question was so important to her.

Touching his hair self-consciously, Dainne smiles softly. "My family has had odd hair colors in recent generations. Nobody has been able to explain it, but this is my natural color. There are places you should have seen that would have told you that." He takes a look at one strand and shakes his head. "Truth be told I have tried to dye it before, but no color seems to stick. It's almost as if this color resists being changed."

Henna looked back up at him warmly, "Well I think you are beautiful." she gave him a small thumbs up and looked back down at her work. "In my eyes at least." She added, She took a dark button from her pocket and placed it at the center of the waist band sewing it on carefully, her long fingers dancing across the fabric creating and making as they saw fit. She was in a state of bliss and nothing seemed to be bothering her anymore. She was untouchable and epically smiley. Once the button was on she had to press the pocket seams down so they laid flat.

Smiling at the unexpected compliment, Dainne bowed slightly. "Why thank you Lady Henna. It's a very rare occasion that I get paid a compliment from someone as beautiful as yourself. Usually most women are afraid something is wrong with me because of my hair color." Trying not to fidget too much, Dainne pulls on the hem of his shirt, trying to cover himself a bit more properly.((lol you're geekin! If you don't know what that means, it's probably for the best. Just a term used when high lol.))

Henna blushed and shook her head. "No, really you are the most beautiful man I have ever seen." She was completely serious, his glorious violet hair and pale soft skin, coupled with his light eyes and elegant bone structure made him so lovely it made her heart melt. If only he was not royalty she could have tried to pursue him. But Alas she could not have him, he was destined to find a princess and she to settle for a semi wealthy merchant or no one at all. But she could dream, right? She could have her fun while he was pant-less in her workroom. She chuckled and started to press the under seams so they were woven together.

Trying hard not to blush any more than he already was, Dainne looked away to try and calm himself down. "T-thank you mi'lady. Your words are too kind for someone like me." He sighed inwardly, knowing that no matter how he felt, no woman would every truly think good about him. After all, his Kingdom did things exceptionally different from what was considered normal. Marriages of royalty were shunned, and as such, the Vadlionne family was looked down upon by other Kingdoms. It was tradition in the Kingdom of Merional to marry to a lower class. Such things promoted trust between the castes, thus creating stability within. "Mi'lady, I must say, you put up an extremely good front, something that has obviously been worked on for many years, but my hearing isn't so bad that it can't hear the slight tinge of sadness in your voice. Is there something wrong? I will do all I can to help, if it is your wish."

Henna glanced up at him unable to control herself at the moment. "If you really must know, I'm a little sad I won't be able to see you again. You seem very nice and also very busy, I'm sad that I cann't have you for my own, and I'm sad that I am out of 1.2mm silver buttons, but none of that is very important." she gave a false smile and finished the pants. She held them out for him and chuckled softly. "It does not matter though I will move on and find something new to be upset about by day’s end I’m sure.” She laughed and folded her hands in her lap, looking down at them. An inevitable single tear ran down her face. But she made not one sound of sadness. And her smile was still glued across her lips.

Kneeling before Henna, Dainne quietly brushed away her tear. "Even though we just met, you don't have to put up a front for me. How can you say we won't see each other again? Not only are our kingdoms neighbor's, but I've a feeling that something will happen to keep me here a rather long time. I've no wish to return home yet, and I have no place else to go after I finish here." He smiled gently and took the pants from where they lay. Quickly he put them on and strapped his sword to his waist. Turning around he again smiled at Henna. "Lady Henna, if it is within my power, I will do all I can to make you truly happy. I swear it on my family name."

"But don't you have a kingdom to get back to, and a fiancé and a family?" She Sighed. "If you haven't noticed by my choice in company I would do anything for that." she was referring to her assistant and blushed. "So I don't think it's in your power to make me truly happy, your highness." she laughed and clenched her fists hard. Her knuckles turning white. She was dispirit and something in the tea was messing with her choice making brain part. She felt foolish and young, but not young enough to be allowed to be foolish. She had not even addressed the race difference between them yet, that was even worse.

Startled by the questions, Dainne stood up and looked away. "My father is still in very good health. They have no need of me right now. Because of my family's marriage practices, no royal family even considers being engaged to us, and we are quite happy with that. We prefer to marry of the lower class. It breaks down social walls that we believe should not be there. As for my family... the entire reason I left on my journey was for my family. My brother cannot stand me because I was born before him, and my sister couldn't care less about anything so long as she's fed and pampered". He places his hands on hers, and smiles. "Be careful with these beautiful hands. They are precious, and allow you to do what I have seen makes you happy."

Henna's heart lifted and fluttered slightly, she wanted to say something charming, something clever, but she could not think, "Uu..." She blushed madly and looked away. This was her chance and she was blowing it! "I'm sorry to hear that your family is now as joyous as you would have liked." She felt so dumb, she was freezing up and her cheeks were a bright pink color now. This man was rich, and beautiful and nice and available and she had to freeze up right then. "I'm sorry, I think I'm a little out of it at the moment." She admitted looking up at him embarrassed. Coming clean would be the best thing she could do and maybe he would understand.
