Veral nearly gasped as the demonic aura leaped into him he felt the entirety of the demonic power within him and forced himself to break the link. He released Helena, breaking the link and stepped backwards, his innerbody fighting the demonic presence immediately. He wanted to gasp, yell and release energy in fury, but he did none of them, in fact he barely allowed himself to sweat and have look of painful concentration on his face. He kept silent as he fell back against the wall, occasionally twisting as he fought tooth and nail. He had spent 67 years of life staving off another demon in his mind and spirit, and he would spend another 67 to save another from the fate. "I am in my field of expertise..... don't worry about me." He managed to say and smile to the others.
Mazzia yelped and stood next to him, holding him in her arms, petting his hair trying to soothe him in any possible way.
Shinn rolled his eyes and looked away. "Blech!" He said, though he was partially curious as to what they did.
Azrael smiled, but then it faded as he watched Veral twitching, and clearly fighting within himself, but something about how Veral composed himself assured him that Veral had long been prepared for it.

Helena remained limp in Tanis’ arms. Her body was tired even after the demonic aura was taken from her. Her eyes would close for a few seconds and she did not jump as she did not see Ruby. The demon’s aura had left her starving for healing energy, but it would slowly recover as she breathed in and out to catch her breath. “I think it worked.” That was her answer to Tanis. Her eyes opened again as she looked at Tanis’ face. Her hand would touch his to let him know it was alright now. Her eyes looked over at Veral however. She hoped that Ruby’s demonic aura would not be too much for him. She barely was able to stave it off. “Please don’t let the aura take you over. I barely kept it at bay to return to consciousness.”
Shera would breathe a sigh of relief hearing Helena speak the words she did, but was concerned with Veral. She’d have to help him the moment she had the energy. She was a healer and had the power to possibly save him once she was properly healed herself. She’d fall asleep soon after kissing Celeron on the lips. Her head rested on his chest almost as if he was comfortable to lay against and almost on.

Miluiel laughed nervously and hugged Shinn, hoping to keep his eyes away from Veral, She watched Veral nervously too. She was worried about him, and the amount of pain the struggle put upon him. She was also worried about Helena. She could breath easier when she saw Helena doing better. She still had to wait for Veral.
Tanis smiled, "That is wonderful news, I am glad you are feeling better." he kissed her cheek shyly. "I am very glad you are feeling better, and that she does not harm you anymore."

"I... messed up once...." Veral said through clenched teeth. "I... will... not fail.... Again!" He declared. His blank white eyes flashed solid green for a few seconds. Veral's aura was fluxing in and out of his body, beating off demonic aura and reinforcing where the demonic aura was advancing. "No demon... alive or dead... will take me!" Ruby's face flashed in his mind several times, but he was holding his own, he needed to last until the moment came to him to purge the presence, but it would be a very limited opportunity.
Azrael sighed. "Its all up to him now... there is nothing else that we can really do." He said softly.

Helena nodded as she was glad as well. “As am I glad as well, I doubted I could have fought that battle much longer. Hopefully, if I get the energy again I might be able to aid Veral in the fight against the demonic energy and put a stop to Ruby’s reign of terror once and for all. I fear he might be in for a battle he did not expect.” Helena had to hope for the best for Veral in this fight. She did not know how bad it would be for him as she looked at Veral.
Shera had to do something at that moment. She could feel where Veral was losing. Her sleeping form would send off a wave of energy to Veral for a short time just enough to reinforce his aura fighting off Ruby. It’d be the burst of energy he possibly would need. She needed to no longer fear Ruby and this was her chance to help. She didn’t know if this would work as she fell into a deeper state of sleep but one that was not harmful that Celeron would worry. She’d just sleep for the time it would take to recover her energies.

Miluiel, upset by the scene wiggled out of Azrael's arms and stood up, "Cone on Shinn, let's go for a walk." she said red in the face. "I'm sorry Azrael, Veral, I have to go, I can't watch this. Good luck Veral, we are cheering for you, Helena, I am glad you are feeling better." She hurried form the room obviously upset and disturbed.
Tanis stroked Helena's hair. "He can do it." The elf said watching Veral. "Mazzia, is there anything we can do to help him?"

Azrael nodded and said. "That sounds like a very good idea." Azrael tried to smile. "I think you've made a smart decision." He said as she and Shinn left. He was relieved, he didn't want Shinn watching that scene.
Shinn followed after Miluiel quickly clinging to her leg as she walked. He sniffled. "I didn't like that..." He said softly. "Too scary... it felt weird." Shinn snuggled.
Mazzia shook her head. "There is nothing I can do... I'm a healer of the body... the mind and spirit were Veral's specialty." She said.
Veral felt the wave of energy and saw his opportunity. He stood up and spread his arms out. "Light of De'gabdinin!(Bringer of purity)" He invoked his voice seeming to echo and deepen and a bright white light began to glow in one hand. "Shadow of Ba'alzamon!(Heart of the Darkness)" Darkness began to glow in his other hand and his voice took the depth of a coalmine. "Purge the unwelcome spirit from the sanctity of my mind and body!" A beam of light shined through the ceiling into Veral, while tendrils of of darkness came into him from below, Veral rose into the air and his robe flew off revealing his wings. One was a wing of white feathers with brown tips, while the other the color of obsidian and had a bat like appearance. He started to convulse and shake as the two opposing energies went through him. As they did they trapped bound and tore apart the demonic force in him. As the demonic aura thinned and was purged, a single scream that sounded like Ruby's voice could be heard, and then the room fell silent and Veral dropped to the floor, unconcious. His expression blank, the demonic aura gone, and his own aura a bare flicker.

Helena would nod to Miluiel understanding why she couldn’t watch. It was highly understandable. She had to watch however. Ruby had attacked her after all. She couldn’t sit by though, however she didn’t have the energy to move to do this. She would follow in Shera’s footsteps however she didn’t know how this would work as she didn’t have the necessary energy to move. “Pray this works. I saw Shera do this, but I do not know if I have the energy to follow in her footsteps.” Helena would send forth a little of her own energy to Veral to heal him just enough to bring him to consciousness. He’d not regain full strength but enough to keep Mazzia from being too worried about him. “Mazzia I did what I could to help. I need to rest…” Helena’s eyes would close as she didn’t fall asleep but just rest her eyes enough to try and regain her energy.

"Yes Little Shinn, it upsets and scared me too. Come on, let's go out into the forest." Miluiel had just gotten outside when Veral screamed, it took everything she had not to turn around and return to the room. She reached for Shinn's hand and began walking briskly out towards the forest. "Let's get away for a bit."
Tanis gently moved Helena so she could be more comfortable, "Rest, he will be fine." the elf said. He had a feeling about this. "Just rest, I implore you miss Helena."

Helena would only silently nod as she rested. She finally began to rest. Her body was exhausted. She needed energy badly. Her eyes would open for a few moments before closing again. Her vision had blurred because of needing rest. She’d eventually finally fall asleep finding the ability to rest. “I think I’m going to. I can’t keep my eyes open…” she’d begin to fall asleep after this as she finally had the sounds of quiet sleeping be heard from her lips.

Veral opened his blank eyes slowly. He was too exhausted to say anything, it seemed that keeping his eyes open took most of his strength. Mazzia immediately went to him and picked him up. "I'll take him to the guest den. I'll be back to finish sewing the patch on." She said before moving him out of the room.
Azrael nodded as she left and sighed. "Would you like anything to eat, Tanis?" Azrael offered. "We do not have a large selection but we have plenty of what we have, for now." He said with a small smile.
Shinn took her hand and followed her toward the forest. He eventually started to lead her into it looked around at the newly revived forest in wonderment, and heard and smelt the most reassuring sound he could think of. Animal... and fresh meat. Shinn saw a rabbit bounding through the bushes and he licked his lips as watched it go by.

Tanis nodded, "That would be lovely sir, I do not eat much something you may have seen with Miluiel." He smiled back at Azrael, "Now, I have a question, The female said something about there being a guest den? Am I currently in a den that I am unwelcome in?" Tanis asked confused.
Miluiel smiled when Shinn took the lead. She too saw the rabbit. Kneeling beside Shinn she pointed it out, "Look at that Little Shinn, Isn't she beautiful?" Miluiel asked, she realized that Shinn wanted it. "Are you going to go get it?" she asked him.

“Stay…” Helena whispered this in her sleep to Tanis. Her hands would move to folding over her stomach that previously had been injured now healing. Her body seemed better now as she nuzzled Tanis gently.
Shera would giggle lightly in her sleep. She could hear all of the going on as she would wake up to check Celeron had fallen asleep or not. “Have you fallen asleep my love? Her words would come softly as she looked at him, her hand just gently brushing over his cheek as she giggled again.

Celeron smiled as his eyes opened.
"Fraid not love. How are you feeling? You seem rested." He said as he pressed his lips against hers gently.
He reached around Shera and pulled her into his embrace with strong battle tested muscles.

Shera would kiss him back before pulling her lips away long enough to answer him. “I have rested, long enough to get my energies back.” She’d kiss him again as she laid there. Her body felt warm in his embrace as she kept her hands where they were. She almost wondered what they could do now. She didn’t have fear anymore in her body and she wasn’t scared. Her mind was racing with so many thoughts till suddenly her cheeks turned red with a deep blushing. She had a thought alright but it was probably too soon for that.
